The game has like 260 total pulls from permanent content alone but that's counting literally absolutely everything and someone starting from scratch wouldn't farm all of it in 3 weeks which is how long a banner lasts. Since we're on this topic anyway, I thought this scene was quite well done too. I feel like writing it off as "vagueposting" does it injustice. The message it was trying to convey was on-the-nose, sure, but it was earnest.nu-Endmin's barely been awake for very long but has been overwhelmed/overburdened by the image and expectations the world has for him. A lot of imposter syndrome going around and uncertainty about whether any of that was true, or whether he should try to live up to it all. Hence, the first thing to do is question old-Endmin about "who I am", but that in itself is asking old-(you) to define who you are. Old-Endmin confirms that (you) still share the most important anyway and that's what matters (a love for the world, despite its hardships and flaws). The rest is up to nu-Endmin to see, experience and define for himself who he is. There's a reason this is like the one instance where the game explicitly uses your character/username in the dialogue, rather than "Endmin". It basically hearkens back to Kally Wally telling amnesiac Doc to see the world and make of it what he will. You will define who you are and where you stand in the world by your own experiences and thoughts in the moment, rather than what came before.

That's the whole reason they were luring him near the rifts in the first place, to strengthen the Aether influence on him and that's why you start seeing Aether cracks instead of Originium cracks after the sealing of the VLR. It's an accumulation of his exposure to Aether after the V4 events, the fight with Nef and finally the fight with Allei right in front of a huge rift.

There were several months where I would just login and do the bare minimum (dailies, whatever content that is on a timer) but there is still quite a bit left for me to do, including: the puzzle stages, RE-Crisis, Hard Mode Umbral Stages, several Character Quests, finding the rest of the auralyne, talosite, and chests in the map. Took me a very long time to finally revisit parts of Valley IV and work thru side quests. My factories need work, but they are better than they were (my farms need work too). Endfield is very large game with a lot to do. But once you're done you're more or less done except for factory tism and dailies and keeping up with content. But even so is that a bad thing? This isn't an MMO.

Its been said many times before but I really do appreciate how the game just lets you be done with building a character after a certain point. No gear farming slot machine. That shit is completely unnecessary and was never fun. People simply tolerated it.
