It's so weird how they made a whole second country with unique architecture, natural environments, NPC clothing and other assets, and then narratively it's just used for you to go there for a second before you go hack to Vermund. How do I Mystic spearhand? You can't Bataille Liche while wild furying, spamming dragon's pounce feels honestly kinda underwhelming. But also if I just go back to playing how I did in the base game I feel like I'm missing the whole dlc spearhand experience. Also the upgraded seching fleet should have been a buff that autogenerates, I'm not autistic enough to keep spamming this shit during combos.

Doesn't the relics system have the same issue as the base game? People complained found gear was worse than store gear and said it made exploring pointless, but at least you would go exploring to find materials to upgrade stuff in different ways.With relics, it has a sorted of inverted problem where once you have T5 gear the 4 other tiers become irrelevant and if you didn't explore the whole map before the end of the story when you go to do so later all of those low tier spoils from earlier areas are useless and there isn't even the possibility of finding items you could use to upgrade your T5 weapons since there is no upgrading.

welp beat satanachia. I just have the enhanced version and Death now which unfortunately I was spoiled on fairly early through no fault of my own .I was the autist who lost it just prior to Dark Arisen 2 dropping because I uncovered someone's spoilered text about chinese leaks. Sorry about that, in the final accounting it didn't matter all that much.It took me a while to get through Dark Arisen 2, I took my time with it and wanted to savour it. If this is the last Dragon's Dogma thing we get, I'm happy. It's good/great. I think I need to let it rest for a bit. I think the main thing that's impressive about it is just how vastly it clears the base game in terms of exploration and combat. When we found out Dark Arisen 2 was going to be a new open area I didn't think much of it but I honestly really like Norgan. It's absolutely riddled with caves and little caverns, micro-dungeons that don't overstay their welcome, the climbing hooks, the verticality. Etc. And it actually feels OPEN unlike the base game which often feels like highly disguised corridors. I'm glad hard mode + norgan's overall challenge actually gave me a run for my money. I did start to crest the difficulty right at the end (maaybe regneration elixirs were a bad idea gameplay wise) but I know I still have the post-post game stuff I can turn on for more difficulty. I think what sticks out to me most overall is Norgan is a playground for your builds, setups, weapons and skills. It effectively is the post-game for dragon's dogma 2 we never got (excepting unmoored world which felt more like a cool evocative finale for the game that you are on timelimit to try to resolve ASAP). Eventually I think I tired of it but that took like 50 hours, I'm perfectly fine with that.When they announced the three big features of the dlc being the Lost Rites dungeons, Norgan and... character creator customization I was worried Norgan would actually be small. Nope, it's huge.

Just got to Norgan and it turns out Trickster is as cheesy as always. Shitter beorcan will run around trying to get my clone and therefore be entirely controlled while big enemies and bosses don't give a flying fuck about it. Such a cool concept but the execution is sorely lacking.
