The self imposed challenge mindset to make the game a little more structured and challenging doesn't feel meaningful when you can walk 100 ft and get warped to a dragon that gives you 65k runes. Ignoring that option and staying low level doesn't feel interesting when you can bleed or blackflame anything if you need to. Ignoring this and that to make the game challenging ends up having you intentionally not engaging with 80% of the game.
