>Gun is SHIT and 75% of lategame damage is SpiritI think the main issue is Valve (wisely) made actually increasing your gun damage directly with items very rare or difficult to do, meaning most gun items have on-hit effects or debuffs that are very unclear on exactly how good they really are. On top of this, Spirit items are simply more impactful and customizable to various builds, and given how fast and evasive players are with dodges, sliding, and the movement actually hitting people with your weapons compared to a big AoE spirit circle on a 10 second cooldown that deals 1/3 of their health anyway is just a better choice for players to focus on.I think the only real solution is to add more transformative gun items (homing bullets, wallbangs, alternate fire mode replacers, etc.) or make melee more viable for more characters. Currently I think Deadlock is at a pretty good balance where even spirit heavy or exclusive characters might still want to pick up a gun item or two, but yeah it's still pretty spirit focused by a large margin just in terms of how kits are designed. If the next 6 characters drop with 6 exclusively gun heroes that'd be the only way to balance out the roster and shop purchases lol, but we all know that ain't happening.

There could be a lot of different support archetypes if they did things like puttin down a dispenser. Cooldowns and reload speed are technically a sort of resource management but I think something longer term that makes you think on a more macro level is better. It would balance out spirit characters too since they couldn't just spam forever

damn apollo kinda shits on danny huhvery durable with his fat heals, if he holds his 2 you can't ever bomb him, very evasive so he's hard to hit, stays in the air most of the time so you can't hit him with strix, and has apollo ult to finish your bony ass offthe only advantage danny has is that he can noclip out of there in 2 seconds
