This thing is good for one-shot-one-kill gameplay, since you have to land your first shot due to the low rate of fire. It sucks for bringing down Stingrays since you can put one or two shots into at at most during a strafing run whereas the AMR can just full send for a kill.>10 round magazineFeels like a good tradeoff for its high firepower. The Eruptor has better overall firepower per round due to the explosive and shrapnel components, so the Sightliner having a larger magazine seems fair. All the marksman rifles have far better ROF which allows them to put subsequent rounds on target faster. The one thing I guess I was surprised at is that despite the bolt action mechanism it's still magazine-fed, I would have honestly expected rounds reload.Overall, this thing feels fun to use, even if I'm aiming using a controller. Definitely a "shoot them from as far away as possible because you'll get fucked at close range" type weapon, and the AI's inability to sense danger from that far away feels rather unfair (you can clear POIs with minimal effort unless there's a very beefy heavy). It pairs really well with Bullet Storm, I might try Stalwart at some point as well.

I really think weapon modifications should be frontloaded in terms of experience(like the first 10-15 levels) and it should be just the paint schemes that unlock towards the end.

I was there on the bug planets trying to get HMGE kills. The bugdivers didn't use the free HMGE at all. They all rundive and toss napalm barrages at everything. I would orbital ems strike a bug breach to set up and napalm beacons would land on the breach nearly eveytime. I gave up after two evenings of this and shot squids with the AMR for the rest of the MO. That was more fun and usually 3 out of 4 dudes in the squad (including myself) were doing it. It was a sight to set up a firing line and slam fleshmobs with rapid AMR hits together.

Volley mode is pretty useles with few interesting break points. It is, otherwise, a mediocre-to-bad assault rifle with heavy weapon ergonomics and pistol caliber damage falloff. That being said, it is surprisingly controllable for popping dev heads at the lowest RPMs.
