Idea for a change to vampire lairs. Instead of spending resources on building a vampire lord from scratch, Kemmler and Ghorst get to treat it like an excavation. The job is to explore the different wings of the lair and extract value from it in the form of items, heroes, resources, and boosts to regional growth or research. Not sure exactly how this exploration would be done, like if it's just the same menu but with different labels for the tabs and buttons, or if it'd work through dilemmas or something else.Because it's technically a home invasion and there's a sleeping vampire down there, continued exploration may result in the vampire waking up and forcing an underway battle with the settlement garrison or spawning a rogue army next to it.

>>586273208This.The Vlad campaign I'm doing I have restricted every army to no more than 3 heroes, most I only have 1 or 2 (usually a necromancer + banshee or wight king)I then do mixed units of infantry, bats & wolves, crossbows & handguns, and occasionally a bit of dwarf artillery.I do have a few themed armies, Kemmler has ghosts & wight kings, Mannfred has grave guard & black knights, red duke has BLOOD DRAGONS, Isabella is all beasts, Neferata is all handmaidens, and Ghorst and his two Necrobros are all zombies for memes.Some lords have variations as well, such as my Lahmian lords having some handmaidens, and my von carstein lords having a few more beasts occasionally mixed in, and my strigoi lords not existing.I'm only VH though, but it adds a lot of fun to the campaign.I do kind of regret getting the +20% movement after winning a battle research, on one hand it's super fun to snowball, on the other hand, my campaign went from slowly expanding outward to snowballing like fuck.

Which is why game filters newfags who try to play it legitimately while it's trivially easy for veterans who know how to exploit AI both in battle and on a campaign map. CA then of course has to buff AI even harder, which makes it even harder to play legitmately, but it's still trivial since everyone abuses AI

But they can also be played normally, without exploiting AI. TWW is entirely balanced around veteran players being able cheese AI by baiting it into sending it's lord unprotected and then sniping it, removing blobs with AoE spells, conducting bombing runs at cities with fllying mages against which AI cannot do anything, getting free cash by selling settlements etcLearning how to do those and more IS getting skilled at playing TWW. There is no other factor. Skill in this game is learning how to cheese it
