With Wrath faster and the Eclipse talent making Starfire faster, SPECIFICALLY in a PvE consideration, I don't put as much value in spending 5 talent points for spell pushback protection for Boomkin. That said, its 5-7 points are in a grey area of "Do I need in-combat mana regen (which I imagine is yes in 95% of cases)?" "Do I want Insect Swarm?" "Do I want stronger Roots / extra viable targets for Roots?" "Do I want Genesis for Moonfire (and Insect Swarm)?" etc. So it could fit depending.

Reminder that it was feedback from top 1% progression raiders, not casual players or normal raiders, that lead to the worst of the class homogenization and watering down of RPG elements of modern WoW.

A large number of these guilds have their sights on Forever, and as soon as the raid patch comes out they're going to start crying about class imbalance, racials, and drop RNG "compromising the competitive aspect of raiding". They're going to try to min-max every cool thing in the game and whine to Blizzard for "fixes" so they aren't "forced to do it". Most of all they're going to try to get deterministic gearing systems added so that all the legendaries and low-drop chance epics become participation prizes. (Prog raiders hate all RNG.)

It's not the stereotypical retail Andy who likes collecting mounts and transmogs that's going to try to turn Forever into retail. It's these guys. And Blizzard is bad at ignoring them.

Hi I'm woke. Hunter is first and foremost a solo leveling class that feels very good to level. Obviously you're going to have comparative "trouble" getting into groups but we're talking the difference between you might have to spend five minutes looking for a group on launch versus being able to do every dungeon frame one as prot. The bigger issue comes down to raid slots where it could be hard compared to paladin but also raids are a month away and you're more than able to level a hunter fully to cap and then see where the winds are shifting for hybrids.

If you want to play hunter just play hunter but if you're extremely paranoid about groups play a hybrid.
