It's pretty boring how there's literally no zombies on regular maps. Have seen like 1-2 throughout my 20 raids on LH. I miss the old event, when all the maps were in constant chaos and the game pretty much took a break from it's usual bullshit. Ok I think I figured out the gas nade strat a bit...on my last nade. Was initially trying to run labs because I thought there would be more of a chance to have a corner of the map to myself. The problem is that the zombie density just isn't high enough, it was hard to draw a really large horde that made throwing a nade seem worth it.Factory is the way to go. They swarm instantly and infinitely, so find an area of the map that has a loop. Throw the nade down in that loop and keep kiting the horde through that cloud as you run through the loop. Works pretty well, got 7 kills in one run. I'm sure I could do more now that I have the hang of it. Helps that I had a friendly rando who was also distracting them a bit.

Taking a 50 round drum still nukes the ergo on the SA-58 which already has low ergo in a setup that also gives you low recoil. I love the SA-58, but it's just not as good as the AK-308, which is far and above the best .308 rifle currently in the game.
I Just use my 308s like this and I love it, in the end, just like all the other Automatic capable 7.62 rifles the difference is in trigger discipline, too many retards just spraying from medium range with these guns instead of Tap firing, flick that thing to Semi auto when you know you won't be in CQBs

If you're using something like an M1A for long range sniping/DMR activities, then you use BCP FMJ. BCP is just too low on pen to be good in direct confrontation and you'll find that almost every person (or ai in your gay case) is using class IV or above plates, thus making your first few bullets less than useless before you start to be a threat. M80 is fantastic for this because even against class V, it shreds through it after only 1-2 bullets and utterly ignores class IV.
