I'm a healer in dungeons and raids. That doesn't mean I should only be allowed to roll on healer gear. A lot of Paladins level as Ret because Holy is terrible for solo play. When I switch to Holy for a group, am I supposed to suddenly ignore strength and stamina gear and only touch intellect pieces? No. I'm not interested in arguing with people over loot. DPS can be annoying, but tanks are worse. Some of them act like entitled scumbags who think they get first claim on everything. If a strength or stamina piece drops, I'm rolling on it even as Holy, especially if one of those tanks wants it. Being the healer doesn't turn me into the group's servant. I'm not here to do indentured servitude just so everyone else can gear up. I'll roll on whatever gear I actually want.

I never really was an active raider. I always preferred smaller group content and Arena + BGs. I love the idea of 10 man raids. I don't want be in a group of 40 whos? Rolling for drops in an ever rotating group. I have some frens joining forever and we will try to fill up the remaining spots with cool randos, and try to share the loot. 2 cloth, 2 leather, 2 mail, 2 plate and some filler.

Add on those legacy talents that give regen on kills and the rested xp buff and we'll be zooming to 60. I imagine it feels really frontloaded in the low level zones and it will be a much smoother curve at 40+, but it will still be at least 24 if not close to 48 hours of /played time faster for even the average person and speedrunners will definitely hit 60 in 1dayXhours.

The Horde side is currently faction locked due to the forced balance, and many of us who want to play there can't create characters. You don't have to log in or anything, just create an Alliance character and you'll take off some of the pressure so that others can play. No need to worry if you eventually want to play Horde PvP, the balance issues usually get fixed within a few months so you can just delete your character and make a Horde one in the future.Also if you want to play Horde and you have unused referral codes: you can try making a new battle.net account and sending an invite to yourself, then create an Alliance character on PvP, then RIGHT AFTER make your Horde character. Why do I keep seeing them mention HPS numbers like healing sims are at all realistic?Wild Growth only heals people in a single party, it has a 3 second cast and a 7 second duration. So it order for you to get ANYWHERE near sim HPS you need an entire group of people to have infinite missing health for at least 7 seconds and no other healers in the raid, no PoMs, no shadow priests, nothing.If you only have 3 people in that party who are missing health? it immediately jumps to AT MOST 60% of its simulated HPS and even that is extremely unrealistic because they would have to have infinite missing health for 7 straight seconds.Meanwhile Chain Heal and Prayer of Mending will be healing people in the raid regardless of party so they will be immediately sniping your healing at all times. A shaman can cast almost 4 chain heals while a druids wild growth is still healing.At the same time Paladins have Lights Vigit which does the same thing with more healing and a shorter cast time and isn't a HoT, priests have PoH which does the same amount of healing on the same cast time but isn't a HoT and if you have a shadow priest that is effectively 1 group wild growth will have no affect on. TLDR: resto druids are by far the worst healers and you should never bring one over any other druid spec

Retail players are genuinely mentally ill
The saddest thing to me about MMOs is, no matter how casual they try to make it (for example how easy SoD phase 1 is) if you want to genuinely improve at the game, whether it be PvE or PvP, the single best thing you can do for yourself is find likeminded players that try just as hard as you. It means giving up your casual friends. It means giving up your comfy guild. It means surrounding yourself with people who may annoy you, but play really well. Not only are you now showered in a wealth of knowledge by being around these players you also get better practice, better teammates who are willing to try the crazy strats and big pulls and will actually succeed in doing so. Teaming up with good players is more than the sum of it's parts basically. You can be the best player in your friend group, but if your friends suck you will still be wiping and stagnate your own skill level. It sucks that it has to be this way. And even Forever won't be able to stop that from happening. I am trying to be at peace with this and just allow myself to play casually with my friends. But inevitably I know when I'm wiping in the first raid tier next month after so many guilds have cleared it already, I'm going to feel like an idiot.
