Been playing a soulslike (Lies of P) on the side and my god am I thankful lowlight and co. didn't adopt the worst of unwieldy delayed attack sequences from that "genre". Trolls complain about "visibility", but the attack animations and sequences in Endfield follow a fairly naturalistic speed, no stupid "gotcha" rhythms, and the big red glint tell means you're never totally shit out of luck for reading incoming attacks

I'm not really happy with the monthly PVP being gone weirdly enough. Yes, toxicity happens whenever a revenue post happens, but the discussion, be it from genuine player or the bad actors wanting to sow some chaos, is what I look for every month. Like, is Genshin having mostly reruns will hurts its revenue and let others (mostly WuWa) pass them or is Miliastra is so big that it won't matter. Is Pearl/Blade rerun doing well or is people started to leave because of the powercreep. Is Endfield is still the worst gacha games because the factory is still there.Not seeing the revenue and seeing people congregate once a month is a fun experience. Just need to sift through the bad actors and I'm golden.

One day there will be a gacha that doesn't do a full phone version.Instead characters in universe use phones, and if you open your menus and such, the char does it with their phone. If the story has someone call you, your actual phone will ring (well, not really, the app would be faking it but you get the idea) and you can take the phone call like the character in the game with basic voice recognition for choices (one, two, three) or you can "dial" the numbers. Basically how automatic phone call handling services already function. The tech is all there. And nobody sane wants to play the actual game part on their phone anyway, if they can help it.

Endfield is the best gacha on the market. It's only failing is releasing during the tail-end of post-Genshin 3D gachas, but it's got the best craftsmanship and is the most consistent. Kuro did a great job with Wuwa up until 3.0 when their b-team took over, so I hope that HG being privately-owned and all is able to stay the course. The world is a different place than when Genshin launched. Theres limited time and capital for people to want to put into these kinds of games. Most people who are into them already played 1-2, and are either done or sticking with their favorite. The economy is terrible for consumers, so the fact it's performing as well as it has been without comparing it to others is impressive. By all metrics Endfield is a success.
