I've solved Deltarune. The thing that needs to be done to stop the darkness is... sacrifice a lightner One that takes the darkness into themselves in order stop it, but this is only a temporary fix. Eventually the darkness will fully take over the host and use its will to create new fountains. This happened before with Dess. The ending is that nothing can truly be done to stop the Dark Fountains from forming, after all they are a fundamental part of the world, all you can do is plug them up every so often so to speak.
Fact: Rudy can do more after his death and have hype moments and aura without being the Knight incredibly easily (the game literally established that Dark Worlds can revive dead lightners and the example of it was a badass mentor who bailed you out of the Titan fight)
