i've probably played the alliance like 10% of my total time in wow.
but i know all about the human starting story arc, where the gnolls and kobolds are working with the defias, and you've got the deadmines and it all links back to the guilds that rebuilt stormwind, and there's some connection with onyxia and the nobility. it's really good.

but i don't have any serious memory of any of the other stories. as an undead, why am i looting these pumpkins? as an orc, what's the deal with these burning blade guys? as a tauren what exactly are these quillboar doing here?

i just don't really remember what the purpose was for any of it.

Undecided between these two prot pally builds. First one's a bit more focused on mana efficiency since losing Holy Conduit hurts, while we also lost improved seal of fury. Mana felt fine with those in the beta but we don't have that now. Plus utility from 15% movement and refreshing every judgement with Sacred Arbiter.

Second one's more damage and I see it's what that sim site uses, but it's based on a 2 minute fight and might slow shit down with the poorer mana efficiency, could become a problem in some longer fights too.

night elf hunter is a good choice. 2% run speed and that 1% dodge comes in clutch sometimes in PvP, dodging a crucial ability is cool.
10% crit 3 min cd 15 sec ability is giga big for hunter.
Move quicker while dead, good in general.
Shadowmeld is basically really good in PvP to avoid a nasty spell (frost mages frost bolt while you're novad) etc.
