I have mostly fixed the UI now.

If anyone is interested, it is "ClassicUI Forever (Classic UI for Forever AND Retail)". You also need "MoveAny (Edit Mode, Windows and Ui)"

Set UI scaling to 91%, then in game, alt tab to my screenshot (or any era/whatever) screenshot to calibrate the exact position of the button frames, they will not match out the box.

This is all. I can now play the game.

Also if someone is ahead of me, and knows how to disable the "always show actionbars" flag that would be great, though I suspect the dev has left it out.
