Mass effect could've perfectly leant itself to being an mmo/liveservice with a constant income for EA and its fucking baffling that they chose DA over it to become it's live service game multiple times despite the DA series proving to be a constant mess. fuck even anthem could've had its resources redirected to a Mass Effect live service and people would've ate that shit like candyI just don't understand. the proof of concept that was mass effect 3 multiplayer proved so successful they could've just used that as a baseline but they insisted on a shitty fantasy based mmo through dragonage that was canned multiple times and an awful destiny like in anthem.I genuinely can't tell if its ea or the bioware team being retarded because both were awful during the twilight of the studio but goddamn it just feels like a no brainer you don't even have to make canon lore you can just make it so shepard doesn't exist and your character is just a spectre recently enlisted by council and just follow the chronology of the games with events and enemies planned out and just swap events for like expansions or fuckin community events. it was such an easy slam dunk but no we need to make more fuckin shitty dragon age content cause braindead normies loved inquisition and it's terrible narrative and gameplay. mass effect had 1 bad major release Dragon age had 1 good major release I just don't understand how it was favored so fucking hard for almost a decade while fans of the other series actively bought merch and begged for more.anyways happy N7 day!

Most the way through Awakening now, it was less of a slog than I remember, and I do actually like all the party members. Velanna's less of a bitch than I remember just kinda stupid.What do you guys do for the Architect? I'm split right now. On the one hand, my Warden's a pretty idealistic sort that only has hateful vengeance for people who've personally slighted her, so I could see picking what feels like a pragmatic option to limit Darkspawn outbreaks in the future with an ally in their ranks. On the other hand, they're still vectors for carrying the Blight taint itself, with a new potential to organize outside of proper Blights, and the Architect himself is pretty fucking careless and loose in his morals. I don't get the feeling he's LYING to me about his intentions though he's definitely lying to me about not killing the Orslesian Wardens but I worry he's going to do some fucked up things without really thinking about it in the course of his plans.Additionally I have both Sigrun and Velanna with me because I don't want em to fucking die at the Keep which should survive but I'm told they can both die if they remain there anyway so I'm gonna piss off one of the two to some degree. Saved everyone but Justice (but we all know how that goes), and Maisel Cousland went on to live happily ever after with Leliana.But before we get to that part, we've got to get through Dragon Age 2, which means I'll need to spend the rest of the night setting up mods for Dragon Age 2.
