>>1452280Nice thread and perfect timing, so I guess I'm going to ask here: my bf and I are trying to play the pre-sequel co-op over emulated LAN, but so far nothing seems to have worked for us all that well. We've tried: - hamachi (couldn't even connect to each other)- radmin VPN (it worked and we could connect to each other, but latency in this dogshit program is way too high for us to have an enjoyable experience and it's not exclusive to borderlands)- zerotier (I can see his game, but when trying to connect my connection just times out)So far we've had no issues playing games like Valheim or Baldur's Gate, because we can just directly connect to each other's PC in those games, and the experience in those games is smooth. I guess I'm just wondering if there's a better way to play LAN games over the internet than using LAN emulators. We've tried defined.net, but neither of us is a certified networking specialist and we got filtered by it hard.

Older borderlands games don't work all that well with these newer LAN emulators, so you have to set network adapter priority of whatever LAN emulator you're using manually to 1 in your network settings. So far so good, zerotier seems to run pretty smoothly for both of us. Much better than radmin too. Almost no latency on my end now. Also, it's pretty finicky in Windows 11 so we had to troubleshoot it a bit to get it to work on his end. Playing now.

>>1458240I'm a month late but feel I should mention this for other people having similar problems. There's a Select Playthrough option visible if you beat Playthrough 1. You have to manually switch to PT1 at the character select menu every time you start the game if you want PT1. You should never be locked out of PT1.
