Website to anonymously organize lobbies for dead games. Could be a useful tool for /vm/ threadshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFBCNnOhYgs
BumpThis is fucking cool, got that old internet feel. Hopefully it lasts and doesn't get pozzed.
>>2256531Forgot to post website link (despite being a bit obvious): https://gamedate.org/>>2256551Same, as far as I know the developer is a /v/ anon that just wants to play video games, so I'm hopeful.
this does look coolI enjoy the UI, it's like the internet is useful againI'll keep an eye on this site
what does hit me up on tg mean
>>2257689tg probably means telegram
So is the thing already infested with groomers trying to get you to join them on their social media platforms.
>>2257750how are you supposed to do that when there are no usernames
>>2257751There's plenty of good games happening without social media cancer but yeah about every third post the game description is just a discord invite
>>2256531What's going on I can't post comments that have more then 1 word.
>>2257780he's apparently planning to make some additions so that fags won't have needing to get the server address and guides as an excuse to lure you into their groomer discords
Did the site not have https before?
>>2256531How does this work exactly? Who determines what a dead game is and how do we add each other?
>>2258502There's no council to determine that. They probably pull from some database of game names and you can select whatever game you want. Schedules can be private (viewable only if you have the links). It's basically just a neat utility cause it's usable while anon.>how do we un-anon each otherNever ask me that question again. I'm sensitive about it.

Is the site still having issues? What is the anon that made it doing? This is a great tool but I hope this won't cause to to die prematurely.
Problem fixed
Any anons using this or is this more of a reddit/discord thing?
>>2261434Judging by the language used, it's definitely anons
>>2261434It was advertised to /v/ "first," although seemingly just in conjunction with wherever else the dev wanted to reach out. Overall there's a pretty wide mix as a result, but definitely a sizeable number of anons. Doesn't really matter anyways. If you host a session you can have it be as 4chan-oriented as you want
when you make a gamedate please for the love of god SELL ME YOUR FUCKING GAME!!!sixteen-trillion lines of text detailing how to install some specific shitty fork of whatever GAY game you want to play and you can't even tell me why it's worth my time.
>>2261434I am. The more people Playing Dino D-Day, the better.
>censors faggot and nigger because hecking bad wordsKill yourself faggot. Your shitty site sucks. As if i wanted to play with non-imageboard users in the first place. Newfags like you will never understand the sense of belonging to a community. If you did you would have never made this site in the first place.>>2261750It was advertised to Reddit first.
>>2262770You can turn off the filters, retard-kun...
>>2262770>the sense of belonging to a communityEveryone else understands it perfectly fine. It's why everyone keeps using it and having fun together, while outsiders like you cope and seethe to try to bring it all down.
>>2262792It is pretty funny how someone on an anonymous board is mad about an anonymous lobby hosting scheduler. You just know he avatarfags in his threads cause that's probably the only value he sees in an imageboard.
>>2262775>>2262792butthurt
>>2262894Why did you give ME a YOU? Was I right about you being an avatarfag? I've been practicing looking into a person's soul through their 4chan posts, so this is a big breakthrough.
>>2262770The word filter was only introduced to quiet the crying redditors and you can turn it off you queefing fag
>>2262149I think gamedate could benefit from having a wiki section dedicated for explaining how to install and host games, especially for ones without server browsers
>>2262149Who made you king pedophile of nigger mountain
>>2263608IMO that's up to the individual game communities, and outside of the scope of the sitestoring pertinent information doesn't really fit the design of the site eitherthe sessions are deleted shortly after expiring, not unlike 4chan threads this is presumably to limit necessary resources and make the service economical to operate running a wiki would be contrary to that, in addition to requiring much more moderation in general I get the sense that the site is tightly focused on what it wants to do, without burdening itself with unnecessary cruftI find that admirable
>discuss button>goes straight to Reddit>sign in with steam or trooncord>report button>missing posts in threads with people replying to removed posts>no one is hosting anything and just linking random game servers or discordsthis is literally discord 2.0
>steam only garbage
>>2264729>>report button >>missing posts in threads with people replying to removed posts so like 4chan?
>>2264729At discord you cannot see anything from outside, at gamedate you can, and it is searchable with search engines. Thats already miles beyond discord.
Anybody having issues creating an event? keeps telling me i failed some security verification.
>>2264730retard you can play ANYTGING
so uh wtf was up with the catbox thing?
>>2266410schizoid seethers posting cp i think
>>2266431Sounds like the sharty desu. But could be random trolls doing it for le epic maymays. Rip catbox tho
>>2266543Some of the shitpost session listings had some of them in there, still trying to get anything out of their weird one-sided rivalry. At this point they should just take the hint: if all of 4chan going down didn't get any anons to obsess over them, nothing will. If anything, the only thing learned from having them constantly try to bother people is that, if every computer blew up tomorrow at the hands of a single individual, the average anon wouldn't even be bothered to learn that person's name. They'd be more concerned with just getting the right mailing list so they can return to writing racial slurs while slackjawed at their desk as soon as possible, like an unflappable pile of mush.
