Saw there was no thread for this game. Thinking about getting it. What does /v/ think
>>2420325why dont you ask them?
>>2420325Well I'm just lurking for anyone to make a /vg/ general out of it but I guess not any time soon...
>>2420325It's fun!
>>2420325I played in the playtests and spent quite a few hours playing with a friend. Now that the game is released I think its okay. There a bit more added post launch, but not much. I only have put in 10 hours post launch.
>>2422905People have been talking about it in /copeg/ >>>/vg/565573082
>>2426270I think it's in a bit of an awkward space where if you've played it from the playtest, then the EA Launch doesn't feel that big, but if you're getting into it fresh now, then it feels like the game is launching with a healthy girth of content. Personally I find myself a bit hampered by doing all those fucking quests to unlock regions again, and having to get fragments n' shit to get my upgrades again, but otherwise I think the game has enough meat in it to keep playing. Especially since I've seen even just Hard fuck up a lotta squads. It's been a while since a co-op shooter has actually seemed to pose a real risk of losing. Gives something to properly work towards with unlocking more shit.
>>2426436I've literally just sent a lobby link and no one's responding. It's a dead game, especially to the pseudo-darktide general.
It's weird how wildly the difficulty seems to swing. Like if you have a good team, it's not that much of a struggle, but the instant 1-2 cowboys aren't up to snuff, it seems to escalate real fukken quick.I kinda like that though, especially since it's not that hard to carry unless multiple big niggas start spawning
>>2420325Ask the deeprock thread. I like deeprock more but its kinda fun.
I don't really see much use for impulse nade other than when I'm trying to larp like the game is titanfall/tribesBut then again that's just utils, a bit one-offish, they should do something more with those
>>2420325It's okay but it feels like you have done everything once you have played like for an hour. I think there are far better casual multiplayer games on the market, maybe it will be good in a few years time once its received more updates assuming its not dead by then.
>>2501524Eh, you're not doing all the side activities, map secret objectives, getting to the other regions, unlocking the weapons, getting the better spells, or the more fun jokers in just an hour, and I'd say some core objectives like Payload are enough to make missions feel radically different, but to play devil's advocate: I think it does limit the game a bit that the only final objective or overarching mission type is bounties, and it's easy to feel like it boils all down to that Just dunno what other type they could do with their sandbox structure
The baseline mechanics are fine, but there are fuck all puzzle pieces to make interesting builds out of, so most setups end up looking like that Buzz Lightyear gif.Balance is off, variety is very modest, so it wears off quickly, even if it's rather decent to play. Also it's chock full of quirk chungus humor, but at least it's not idpol shit like Mouse PI, so it's just barely tolerable.
