Destroy remains as solid as ever it looks like. I mostly went with Human Torch since he fits well into Silver Surfer. Tried Ghost Rider for a good chunk too since I've been really feeling discard. Shame he was easily the least interesting champion this time. Ended up discarded almost every game and his skill, while cool thematically, just wasn't anywhere near what the others would do.

Agony is there for Maverick or Captain Carter.
Nightcrawler is there for something to play on turn 2. The way this deck works is skip turn 1, play a 1 cost on turn 2, play Storm turn 3 or 4 to buff my hand hopefully hitting Maverick or Carter or Brood.
Grandmaster is there for Mother Armani because getting the double discount/buff is really good or he can also be used for a double Surfer on turn 3.
Hope is there because she's a three cost, but also because getting extra energy on turn 4, 5 and 6 can lead to some really big plays

The typical gameplan for that deck involves not having superior and a green power unit until turn 4, and maybe that's fine if you're just looking to fit an extra unit in on 5. Personally I preferred the Fallen One build with the same premise since you could reasonably get him to 8+ visible power for his on reveal (temporary buffs like Carter still apply when his on reveal hits, so storm-carter-fallen one gets him to 9 power for 10 energy on the final turn)

generally I agree with you that it is worse, but it's not strictly worse or even necessarily worse - but it is indeed generally worse

the advantage is that your power is spread out. As we have observed with cards like Doom, that's generally a good trait to have. Spread power allows you to threaten multiple lanes at once. Additionally, being an End of Turn trigger confers all benefits associated with it, like synergy with Invisible Woman First Steps and any future, similar synergy they may add such as a location that helps End of Turn specifically. Furthermore, not being an Ongoing means you aren't weak to Rogue or Enchantress, for whatever that's worth.

The disadvantages are obvious. Not being Ongoing means you can't move cards all game and get surprise benefit for 3 cost on a later turn. Not consolidating the power means you have to try harder to win 2 lanes, since you can't take for granted that Mary Jane will win her own lane the same way Hydra Stomper does.

I wouldn't say it's exactly worse. It's Hydrastomper but it spreads It's power around instead of consolidating it on him. It feels like it's for a move deck that just doesn't exist yet. He's fun. Kind of an alternate win con if you like don't draw Ghost Rider to bring Agatha back. He synergizes well in the deck.
Hitting him with Mother Askani is pretty good for power stone.
With Quinjet you can do fun stuff like turn 5 Ultron. Turn 6 Iron Man + Power Stone.
Mother Askani hitting iron man is also really good if you have Quinjet out for a 3 cost Iron Man.
Mind Stone is also good if you get two big discards. Like Red Shift + Lady Sif, do you can play Mind Stone then Ghost Rider and bring back Agatha + the 6 cost thet Red shift made.
Wing Beat is insane if it hits Iron Man or Ultron but if it hits Agatha then Lady Sif becomes random what she hits since you have two other 5 costs so that's not ideal
Gambit HoD gets triggered with Ebony Blade and a stone.
Wave is there as an emergency if you need to play Agatha or also just to play Ultron early.

She's alright in TC X-Men, but she's sort of a clunkier and more expensive regular Gambit since everything you'd need to do to make him do his Machine Gun thing (Magik, Wong, etc), you kind of need for her ability to have any use except she uses MoS Star Lord energy instead of discards. Funnily enough, even if you had Sun Lord, I still wouldn't recommend her unless you also have Jim Hammond.

The fundamental purpose of this game is ruined.
Snapping will make any real player leave. No one will stay when they see what you're playing. Snapping t1 will nevet make anyone stay, there is no purpose to stay if someone snaps you t1.

They won't change how this works so the game is dead in the water.

I just can't understand the mindset the devs are in.
Why they are hellbent on making your deck unplayable in every game? Why are they assraping your sandcastle? Why are you not allowed to have fun?

But she needs the extra energy plays to really be effective and that has to be taken into account when estimating her power. Seems like a decent build around at least. brotherhood is an even better faction than before, yeah you lost gambit but you're the only deck realistically running scarlet witch (I havent seen any other deck manage to fit her in to the 6 cards they have available) meaning you get a leg up on the greed xmen decks, and you have horseman storm into mystique for big numbers on sinister/shaw, who also go dummy with askani
