Reposting Korinyi armor deco setup for newcomers. This should be one of your first priorities after getting to GR 200. You get this armor from the Z1 Midogaron quest Hunt the Wolf, Black Rabbit. You'll have to do a Z1 Rathalos for shells to make the armor as well. On top of that, you'll need a zenith weapon to even take the aforementioned Z1 Midogaron quest, but it's quite easy to make one because of the Anti-Zenith Weapon Research quest.

It's a z tigrex quest. But you can make any z weapon really because they don't need the z specific part break for crafting, only for the upgrades. Just don't pick one from the hardest monsters like ruko, torid or dora. All zenith mons will be hard at first anyway, but some are worse than others in that regard

Figured I'd make a post about the clan hall

They give a buff when you feed them. Use poogie crackers, there should be a good amount in the shared clan box. Breakfast gives a damage reduction buff, works like divine blessing except it's massively reduced damage instead of negated damage. Sir gives a luck buff to get more rewards at the end of a quest. Fanisk gives a buff that halves the amount of stamina needed for any action that requires stamina (evade, guard). Can only have one active. Lasts until you log out, needs to be reapplied if you get dc'd

Can put and take items below rarity 4 in shared box. Material box is supposed to be a one time thing where you get materials from monsters that your clan hunted but it's bugged and you can grab it several times a day so it's effectively free mats

Speak to the felyne merchant and select the daily gift option. You get a handful of useful items but most importantly you get tickets needed for extra effect on clan food. Can buy said tickets later on with road points but that's late end game. Resets at midnight japan time

Food you can make that will give you a buff that lasts 90 minutes. It gets registered in pre-made food at the kot chef next to the stoves. Pre-made food lasts two hours, so you can refresh a food after it ran out without making a new one. Check ferias (link in OP) >guild>cuisine for foods, their ingredients and their effects. There is a G rank event quest to farm the rare ingredients called Feud in the Kitchen. It's a HC diablos and HC black diablos, NPCs are disabled and running it solo may make you want to blow your brains out at times
You also get one free legendary rasta use per day. Talk to the rasta in the hall and post a quest from the hall if you want the free use. I think that's about it for clan hall things. Good night

mine won't fucking use the normal gx decos and I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out why
if I set it so they're the only option like this I just get zero results for any combination that can't be met with armor skills alone
I've been having to have it give me sets with GF decos then manually looking through those and seeing if I can get anything out of their upgrades

Try other versions of the set searcher. The first one I had downloaded refused to work at all, would keep giving me sets with decos I had filtered. In case anyone gets this problem like I did; I was getting insane amounts of flickering on my screen but only when the game was the focus. Disabled gsync for mhf.exe in njudea control panel and now I'm not at risk of getting seizures anymore. Disable freesync if you have ayymd

How do I join the server using a custom launcher? I'm on linux so the guide in the OP is useless to me. I just need the host and ports to add to my launcher to be able to join the renewal server
I wanted to just play by myself on my own locally hosted server but the client is throwing errors I don't know how to fix and I wanted to join a server to verify that I've actually set everything else up correctly and it's just my server fucking up

Yeah this doesn't work because the default launcher is dependant on Internet Explorer which no Linux distro comes packaged with and I hardly want to download a long deprecated package for a browser microsoft themselves stopped supporting what like 10 years ago?
Someone reverse engineered the launcher and removed the Internet Explorer dependency and that's what I've been trying to use
I've read 3 separate linux guides and every single one of them glosses over this internet explorer dependency like it's a none factor which makes no sense to me at all because launching the game just returns a 404

LR/HR was compressed to hell and back during the game's lifetime. You can fight ruko from HR2 on, as well as shitmons supreme like blue kut ku. Some monsters will take a while because you're not supposed to fight them with HR1 gear

The soul fest hasn’t started yet, it starts on Monday. You can vote for a monster to be able to give out souls for our team right now, that’s all. Vote for Shagaru Magala, he’s the easiest monster to rice for souls.
When the fest starts, you look at that list and target monsters that have our team’s color next to them, that’s how you get souls. Or just do road runs for a bunch of souls. Turn on Auto Soul Delivery in the options too.
