The soloq mm with 100% duos who just drift around completely mindlessly between the two in a private chat, no pings, almost no tact/ult use, never for team play, and the one player is usually very bad, and the other who carries does it just to play ignorant and NOT learn the game. well yeah to an extent, the thing is for a while I really did want to make Apex my main game and excel at it but despite playing since launch and always coming back, it's always felt like I have some input delay or something. Maybe it's just cause I'm a boomer who grew up only playing hitscan guns and characters and shooters. I don't play bullet drop FPS or aim down sights FPS so I struggle with that on top of general skill checks. Like 1/5 of my matches are 12 minutes of running around with cowards and dying on first fight, 3/5 are insta-death back to lobby, the last 1/5 are those times I enter a flowstate and kinda dominate.

p.s. call me a scrub but I've also always hated the fact the game has aim-assist crossplay. But apparently they toned it down by 25% a while back?

Loba needs a rework man
Her kit is entirely outdated, her mobility is completely outpaced with axle and the other speed buffs other legends get, her ultimate is of middling use at best with the changes to the loot pool making everything plentiful, armories and boosters, the fact that anyone can craft banners, box rezzes, alter grabbing banners for free and being far better at resets.

I have 6k kills and 500 wins on her, she was always off-meta and made masters soloQ more challenging but she is pretty much useless now, you can't even reposition with her Q before an entire axle team can slip and slide up her fat bootybole before the thing even lands.

The Q needs major buffs, it should be quicker and she should be able to shoot, the ult needs to be replaced entirely, let her steal ammo/nades/heal items directly from enemies in a radius or something, make it actually impactful in a fight rather than QoL at best or a distraction at worst

Axle (and her entire team) might legitimately be faster than Loba's Q. Add the fact that it's instant and teamwide... yeah, why would you pick Loba. You literally get kitted out by zone 3 anyway, and any other support can provide heals/bats from crates.

Just give her the ability to see people with gold items through walls at this point.

Loba should get some kind of stacking buff the more gold items she has to incentivize moving around and looting things with her ult. Maybe something like:
+25 shield with 2 gold items
+lower tac cd with 3 gold items
+fortified with 4+ gold items
Obviously, gold guns should act as 1 gold item.

Loba used to be THE late-game scaling character (ignore package Lifeline), but now she has somehow turned into an early game character that gets more and more useless as the game progresses. She needs something to restore her identity.

A pretty simple way to balance Axle Q is to give it a 5 second charge time once it's placed before it activates, replace the 2nd tier backpack ammo perk with one that reduces the time to 2/3 seconds

I've had over 10 matches today and every single was with a duo Q of a diamond and a plat something, and the combined IQ of all of them together probably barely hits the triple digits

My last duo ignored my call to take balloon over the center phase runner of Olympus, pushed uphill into a team and instantly got fried

Then they literally did the exact same thing like a minute later max and fried instantly except this time I just went to the balloon alone and managed to rat to preserve some RP while they got insta fried together this time

Literally lost over 600RP today due to this sadistic big brother matchmaking shit, it worked in lower ranks fine because I could hard carry them but in d2/1 I'm also going up against competent teams and premades which makes this weight too fucking hard to carry, it's unbelievable how stupid people are, it actually makes me want to hermit myself away from the world

Pick something that fits your playstyle

Valkyrie is sort of noob bait with her tac+passive but useful.
Caustic or catalyst maybe if you like zoning enemies/bunkering in the zone and close quarter engagements. Vantage got a buff, so she's pretty good if you are decent at long range and get the hang of her tac, which is much better than it used to be.
I guess conduit, lifeline, wattson and maybe newcastle fall more in the survivability+support category, with Conduit having a recent buff too. And mirage of course just because being invisible while healing, reviving, etc.

Whenever you get to X1 ranks the matchmaking gates you by matching you with the bottom of the barrel in your bracket. Silver-Plat-D4 is basically the same thing so you're going to be given two tards to carry in that bracket to rank up.

It's not a huge problem in that bracket because the majority of the people you go against are also gonna be tards (other than early split where all the diamond/masters/preds/cheaters are rolling the lobbies).

It becomes a real problem at D1 when you go against masters and preds with duos of the worst of the worst in the diamond bracket, more often than not duo Qs of one hard stuck D4 and his platinum butt buddy. And these hardstuck D4s always have extra inflated egos because they don't realise they are in the trash bracket, and their plat noob friend spends their games sucking their assholes and inflating the egos further, so you get the same dynamic over and over, d4 hardstuck tard refuses to do anything but IGL and when he does he makes the worst decisions possible at all times, they'll get you all killed early in the game and then they'll both act like you were the issue even though you are clearly the designated carrier of the team and they are hard stuck for a reason, but said ego fellation will never allow them to see it.

Every now and then EOMM will throw you a team of actual like minded similar skilled soloQers so you can gain some RP and continue the gambling addiction adjacent behaviour

I think sometimes it feels like you set yourself higher expectations to win fights and get damage in wildcard, and not just for badges.

I just uninstalled, this game was not respecting my intelligence, time or mental health, the matchmaking algorithm is purposefully psychologically harmful, and this is reflected in the playerbase which is overwhelmingly either deranged, retarded or both, and all of these categories are very salty. The live service aspect of this game isn't geared for fun even in the slightest, it's predatory and exploits gambling addict behaviour to rinse the playerbase from as much money as possible.

It's actually WAY more fair than sound. It shows footsteps that you can actually hear but not all people have a good sound, also audio bugs that still exists for like 5 years. Seer's range is way bigger than sounds.

Also with those indicators you can play without audio at all.

So nothing but profit, we really should force respawn to do it.

I haven't played in many many seasons (stopped when the chubby sniper released) and apparently a ton of things have changed. Are those all explained in game or will I have to watch youtube videos to get caught up?

Man, that was season 14. A LOT has changed since then.
While you can probably read up on a lot of these in-game (Firing Range), you're probably gonna have to randomly stumble into a lot of the smaller changes.

>Legend classes: characters are now divided into 5 distinct classes (Assault, Skirmisher, Recon, Support, Controller), each receiving powerful passive abilities.
