I haven't seriously touched ranked since before they introduced the champ rank. Highest rank I soloqueued to was plat 2 when plat was the second highest rank, but it was a real struggle the entire way. As a solo, your team at least 70% of the time will be made up of uncommunicative randoms that suck absolute ass, and the enemy team will be made up of a well-coordinated stack of at least 2-3 players (often 5). Even if you try talking to your teammates and encourage them to cooperate, they won't. They simply won't. Playing ranked without using your mic should be a bannable offense. Not that I care about ranked at all at this point. Fuck that shit, and fuck unranked, because it's the exact same thing there.

With my main getting nerf next season, what is a good attacker that I can contribute after I'm dead, helps all my teammate when I'm alive?

My second mains are Thatcher/Termite, I struggle to get on site let alone into the building, so I just make my own may, but you can't always use them depending on site/bans. I tried Twitch/Brava but by the time I'm done using the drones there is only 30 seconds left in the round.

Would be nice to find a stack of oldfags from the EU, but there are only usually Amerifags in these types of threads.

In QM, there's a way to reverse boost. You can drop your MMR so low, you start running into the literal wood league. Seal clubbing stops being fun after a while though. I think gold-plat is the sweet spot for me personally. It's not too easy, and not too hard.

I mean I had played MP FPS before, but not seriously, and only a handful of times. Siege was the first MP game I got into and stuck with. Took me two years or so to stop sucking and get to high plat level. It was a very rough fucking journey, because by that point the game had been out for a few years, and it felt like everyone I played against was infinitely better and more knowledgeable than me. I can't imagine what it's like getting into this game now that it's been out for 11 fucking years and has fuck knows how many operators, abilities and mechanics. Cock and ball torture is probably more pleasant than learning Siege now.

Depends. Are you looking to get into ranked soon? If so, play unranked but tweak unranked's settings to feature the "ranked only" map playlist. However, I would thoroughly recommend that before you do that, look up on YouTube: "R6 Siege <Insert map you want to learn> attack/defense guide".
Study the meta headholes, rotates, pushes, direct takes, etc shown.
Siege isn't an easy game to learn, but you WILL learn it through a mixture of experience, repetition, and muscle memory once you accumulate enough hours.

Working on learning the vertical angles in Calypso. There's actually a ton of coverage of CCTV and server (but some of the server angles have weird wires and shit that make it hard to see.) My squad's planning to try to mainly work a take from the admin office, to money counting, and then to breach the right wall and plant behind the console. All of the relevant vertical is up in bar. You can't cover the rotate, but you can cover vault checkpoint really safely, and it's all behind the actual bar, so it's unusually safe for vertical play.

It's crazy how this game is both forward and backwards at the same time compared to CS.

The good:
Dynamic range options for the audio
Aspect ratio stretching that's independent of resolution
Built-in benchmark with detailed results
Great vertical sound
Flash bang visual and audio effects options
Cool game mode to learn the maps

The bad:
The whole UI is made for controller navigation, doing anything on MnK is a chore and is incredibly unintuitive.
No forward/back button support like in a browser.
Quickly making a custom game to test something is absolutely not "quick"
Binding options are pretty bad, being able to do per-operator binding would be nice, aka group thrown util to one key and other stuff to another

Why is Ubisoft like this? The average rank in the game is bronze 5. You can make the game enjoyable for most players and give them silver/gold. Yes, really bad players should be in copper, but you can't cram half your players in copper/bronze. What other games do this? I can't remember.

Hard to say desu. I'm a solo that won literally 1/5 of my placement matches because my teammates throughout the night (Who I mistakenly believed would be previously Emerald like myself, and accordingly actually good) were visibly ranked Gold, NEVER hit Emerald, and yet somehow played like actual Coppers who were brand new to the game. They did not play like stereotypical Golds at all, they played well below that. I shit you not, after placements I looked up every single one of my teammates and most of them previously peaked Silver or had lifetime KDs hovering near 1 or even quite a bit lower after hundreds or even thousands of hours played. It's really puzzling because I've heard that most Emeralds placed in Gold, but then the Gold players I played with during placements hit Gold for the first time ever??


Thankfully, after those godawful placements I landed in Gold 3, so the climb back to Emerald will be far quicker than starting all the way up from Copper! All in all I'm satisfied so far, but I think I've given my Ranked 3.0 shitter teammates too much benefit of the doubt. From now on, I'm just going to assume my teammates will be the most dogshit, mouthbreathing cavemen imaginable and that should save me some astonishment lol.

It's pretty damn scary that the average R6 player is legitimately that bad, though.

100 matches in, Dokkaebi is a real problem and I'm kind of shocked they haven't fixed her yet. They said Calypso isn't in every map pool now but it still is, so dunno what's up with that.

Matchmaking is a little odd. It feels relatively balanced, except that everyone is a full rank and a half lower than they used to be. Bad news for ego but the matches haven't suffered really.

Pros are bitching a lot about hackers but I've had less this season than I did in diamond last season so who knows.

I don't personally think this super slow elo gain is healthy based on what everyone else seems to think but it doesn't really bother me, personally.

ACOG is superior for holding long angles where a finer reticle is more important than peripheral vision. That being said 99% of players use it when they shouldn't and the other 2.5x sight is the best generalist sight.

What I'm worried about now more than anything is the new RP gain/loss implementation- if you're a solo player and aren't lucky enough to have a winrate solidly and consistently over 50%, it seems as though it will be easier than ever to get perpetually hardstuck?
Like, at the very least in Ranked 2.0 after 100 matches you'd start getting something similar to +25/-20. In Ranked 3.0, it seems as though you immediately get that same pattern of RP gain/loss right after placements.
I'll have to see, but it just doesn't look like this current iteration of ranked is solo player friendly. If anything, it seems more punishing.

As someone who started playing Siege in "Crimson Heist", and has been playing solo ranked since "Crystal Guard", I have to say:

This season, which has been the introduction of Ranked 3.00, has been the most utterly impossible, excruciating season of any competitive FPS that I've ever played.

I'll spare you all the whining on my part, but something feels VERY, VERY wrong with the current quality of random teammates. In all my years of playing R6, I've never seen anyone have a performance stat-line of 0/10/0. Earlier tonight, for the first time ever, someone on my team literally put up those exact numbers. And they weren't trolling, either. They were actually trying their hardest. That was their very best.

For what it's worth, I feel as though I can confidently say that the prior iteration of ranked was 100% better for anyone without a stack. I implore anyone reading this: do not under any circumstances play this season if you are a solo. Wait until Ranked 3.00 is potentially tweaked to be more forgiving regarding the allotment of MMR.

P.S. Look at my KDA in "Solar Raid"...I was actually pro player tier. I don't know what I did or how I played that particular season, but I've never been able to recreate that peak. I was a demon and I still can't recall exactly how. :/
