Encountered my first and second "people bothering newbies" today.

When I was killing stuff someone popped out of nowhere and instakilled everything on the map, so they got the kill and the loot, made a devilish face and ran off. Another time when I was heading somewhere someone made rock barriers so I couldn't pass.

I dunno what they were thinking by having you start out with kill 50 - kill 70 quests. Thats an insane amount for starting.
>>
>>2599457
Kill 50 is manageable. I did a kill 50 daily in about 10 minutes yesterday and it basically doubled my XP per kill.

I'm pretty much immune to kill x after Iris. If I'm getting a level up for killing anything less than 100 guys, in anything less than an hour, I'm zooming.

The numbers in this game are weird. It's very tight. The PvP seems extremely fighting gamey.

fan is good in pvp, but you gotta play very defensively and look for opportunities to punish. also upgrade your basic fan to the "seji no hani" fan ASAP. you can farm if from the scarabs in the secret sand cave once you hit level 20, but they're so common you can typically just buy them for 2k-3k. sometimes vet players give them away for free too.
fan is cool because each different fan weapon has a different range / area / effect. SnH is an amazing newbie fan that can last you all the way up to endgame (and beyond if you're good).
basic pvp strategy with fan is to use your jutsus to keep people away from you, then follow it up with fan attacks and kunais for damage. if the enemy ever gets close enough to melee you, you're screwed.
>>
>>2600274

The missions are very unfun. They boil down to either boring or frustrating. I keep getting told it gets better once you get out of early levels but shouldn't the early levels be there to grab you into the game? Not force you to truck through. And the more I truck through, the more annoying quests I get introduced to.
>>
>>2600355
I agree and many players have recommended improving the early experience, but the developers prefer to improve mid to late game for whatever reason. Later missions involve sneaking into villages or stealing items with little to no time investment for 100k~ exp, rather than killing 60+ monsters. It is a product of a previous version of the game and has no right to exist in its current state.
>>
Random shit I'm musing on:

>Charging your chakra while your chakra is full decreases your cooldowns (seems like it roughly 1.5-2x it), so increasing your chakra stat effectively lowers your cooldowns (because it takes less time to get back up to full chakra after you use your jutsus)
>ninja tools (shuriken etc.) seem to have insane scaling for their cooldowns. usually it seems you gain +1 damage per stat point, but low CD / spammable stuff will gain like +0.5 points or whatever. Tools have +0.5 scaling but only a 2 second cooldown (for reference my "spammable" 15 second CD main jutsu only has +0.6 scaling)
>It's really common in PVP to do a melee attack and then follow it up with an instant speed jutsu, which cancels the lag. This works in PvE too obviously.
>There's a weird breakpoint where the Butcher Sword apparently gives you a 32 base damage weapon for only 30 strength, which is really efficient, but IDK if it's worth going for that on an Intelligence build (you do get better weapons eventually)

>Later missions involve sneaking into villages or stealing items with little to no time investment for 100k~ exp, rather than killing 60+ monsters.
Its this for me thats my main bugbear right now. It feels too time consuming, and like a waste of time. And wasting time was fine for like 2000 MMOs but not these days. Like every time I complete a mission I feel like "Why was it that long?" Like why kill 70 Wolves when you can just make it kill 10 Wolves and then dish out the same amount of EXP? Its less time wasting that way. Why does it need to be 70 other than padding? I've seen people say in Guild Chat that it's to incentivise teaming but we're lucky in that we all arrived here as a group. If I was a Joe Average solo player, I'd have to kill all 70 of that shit on my own because everyone else is super high level anyways and rather dismissive of newbies.

And I feel like I'm learning and gaining nothing. A lot of MMOs these days have learned to tailor their early game as an introductory period. All the first missions just so happen to be things you need to learn through the game. And I thought this is what Nin Online was initially doing. You have the tutorial, then you have the tour around the village, then you have suspicious individual which is like a jumping/platforming introductory mission but then after that its "Ok go do dailies" and the dailies are just "Ok pick up 20 weeds. Ok cool pick up 30 weeds. You bored of picking up weeds? Go kill 20 Wolves. Ok now kill 40 wolves. Now kill 50 wolves!" You may as well not have the missions in the game and go "Just fuck off and grind."

Then you get to the sneaking missions and they just feel like time wastes too because you just get killed by high levels over and over and over and lose exp.

Its just little things that could be tightened more.
>>
>>2600655
its because its an rp game disguised as a real game. the main playerbase has been playing for so long they just dont even care about how the game plays at lower levels. they have millions and millions of the currencies and high level alts and friends that will just boost them through to max. its pretty pointless trying to start.
>>
>>2600355
>>2600398
>>2600655
Its pretty much what >>2600685 says. They cater towards their high level and regulars, most of which have been around since the BYOND days. And they are most likely the most active and vocal on their discord. Which is fine, a lot of changes to bring in new people would alienate that playerbase anyways. They're basically at a crossroads when it comes to that, in order to bring in new players they're gonna have to shed a lot of their BYONDness but in order to do that, it'll alienate their established playerbase.
>>
>>2600829
I get that big changes would alienate the established playerbase, but there are plenty of things that could be improved for newbies, yet wouldn't affect veterans. Decreasing the numbers early missions ask for, increasing low-level mob exp so you don't need to kill thousands of wolves to reach level 10, decreasing the prices of early-game healing items and commodities, giving newbies viable ways to sell stuff for more than a single digit. None of these would affect veterans.

While we've encountered some really helpful locals, I've also seen some embarrassing trash-talk, and players are very eager to pick on someone 50 levels below them for easy kills. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs are having headaches dealing with their established playerbase resisting change with literal "NO, noobs must suffer LOL" arguments.
>>
>>2600909
>I wouldn't be surprised if the devs are having headaches dealing with their established playerbase resisting change with literal "NO, noobs must suffer LOL" arguments.
You should have seen the shit storm after the PVP toggle was introduced.
>>
its sad to see, because i can see a really fun roleplaying/pvp game beneath the absolute dogshit fully required pve grinding. honestly, just remove ALL MOB GRINDING from the game and have exp come from interesting missions, crafting, and the cool role play mission thing thats already in the game.

when the fuck did naruto go out and kill 500 wolves or run around the city to smash trash bags? why is that even a thing in the game? just because 'all mmos are like this, so ours has to have this pointless grinding'?

is it literally just in the game to gatekeep new players? like, if you dont want your population to grow you do you, i can understand the appeal of having a tight knit small community. but i cant see a reason for any of how the early game is set up besides grinding for grinding sakes.
>>
>>2600922
I can sort of imagine. The PvP toggle is a mockery. The game is way too grindy to give up a +25% boost, especially when it even affects quest rewards. It's there so they can say "well actually" to the poor reviews newbies leave, while their veterans can keep feeling good, preying on people a quarter of their level.
>>
speaking of anti-noob shit, im genuinely curious how/why they changed the medical ninja missions
>medical-nin are given additional healing missions to mitigate the fact they cant grind for shit
>devs changed it so unless you're part of village organization, you can't access the mission
>the organization has a finite amount of slots and is no doubt run by people who've been there for half a decade
i would also think that the people in the organization would barely benefit if at all from the exp.
>>
>>2600941
You're starting to see why the reviews said the game was a giant clique.

Some anons said to grind mobs up to lvl 15 then do dailies. Or you can slowly grind it out over the course of a few days and just do dailies.

>>2601263
if you hate yourself, kill mobs til 15 so you wont waste your dailies that day. if you are a functioning adult, grind up to like 10 then just do dailies everyday.

Nothing. You aren't locked out ot nothing by disabling pvp.
Some quests (Parcel, infiltration, hot springs sneaking) will make you go to another village, and that insta flags you for pvp. But besides the xp and the drops, not much.
The drops help a bit though, specially early on when you are short on cash and need more blank scrolls, getting new jutsus can be a pain sometimes

small and autistic correction:
if you're unflagged for pvp, you cannot heal or resurrect any pvp-flagged players (only matters for medical-nin).
also if you do escort/envoy missions (which are BIG XP) while unflagged, there's a gang of pvp-thirsty rogues out there who like to body block pvp-off npc escort so the timer runs out and the quest fails, wasting your time and your daily mission.

id say the issue is, the non-grindy dailies open up at level 14+
and since the exp curve is exponential, its probably better to just spend an hour bashing a wolfs' skull in with other lads to get to level 10.
not really sure what to do between 10-14 though.
>>
>>2602476
the way the guy presented it is that the dailies give you fuckall for exp before 15, so if you wanted to be efficient you grind to 15 before the daily reset to take advantage of the massively boosted exp.

Summary of my village investigation and what they're like:
>Leaf: The most active for sure. You'll always find people at the village square and the village chat seems to always be active. You'll find the roleplayers there. They seem helpful and people will be approaching you, sometimes to say random weird stuff, sometimes to ask what you're doing and to help you out. They seem fascinated with new players.
>Sand: I have not once encountered another person here, however the village chat seems active.. in another language
>Mist: I keep seeing the same people standing in the village square constantly. All wearing 2000s edgy emo outfits, and they'll all mostly be quiet. They completely ignored me and I got to go about my own business with no interruptions. They'll only speak to bring up a discord called "Mistcord" or to as other people around them to spar. Due to their quietness and congregation in one place I assume all the discussion is on discord and not village chat. Their numbers seem to rotate less and its the same people I keep seeing, but it is a much larger amount of people than Sand.
>Rogue Nins: They all seem to be members who have played for 10+ years, never grew out of their BYOND phase, and they just sit and seethe about the "current state" of the game. They're so bitter than I wonder why they still play.

It seems like Mist is the one behind more of the organized attacks on the other village, Leaf does all the player events, and Sand just doesn't exist in the wider world. Rogue nins seem to be behind newbie targeting and ganking.
>>
>>2603100
>Rogue Nins
>Outcasts of society who are perpetually angst-ridden about the state of the world and bitterly distrustful of outsiders
Art imitates life.
Definitely glad we sided with Leaf over Sand. Getting to interact with niche communities of equally niche MMOs and seeing how they react to our presence is part of the fun, and that whole side of things wouldn't be on nearly the same level had we rolled Sand.
Mist sounds like it caught the Discord mindvirus as well, so we dodged a bullet there too.
>>
>>2602042
That's aids. No wonder the overall community for this game is dead. These jaded vets bullying newplayers for a gig and wonder why retention is so ass. You'd think a small community like this wouldn't act like retarded fags towards newbros.
>>
>>2603100
I also want to put out my two cents, info I got from my experience with the Rogue nins (who talk, instead of just ganking you)
The biggest clique was once part of the "Neo-Akatsuki", which was a pvper organization with some rp involved, according to the wiki, they even had a storyline going, then they splintered into two organizations, the "Jesters" and "Malice", they take turns as the "owners" of the rogue nin village, Usually decided through organized 1v1s. Jesters seems to be your average PKer that preys on newbabs, while Malice players usually bum around villages waiting for TDMs, 3V3 or other events, some of them appear to have a roleplaying past.

So if you see someone rocking Jester "colors", it would be better to avoid them, they will either kill you or grief you

Didn't meet any sand nigs yet, Mist chuds seems to be a bunch of uncs, I saw them rping while I was killing some mobsters yesterday.
Our "guide anon" seems to have ties with them. Quite surprised he didn't ask us to join them
>>
>>2603200
It's sounding like it's mostly just Rogues who are the ones to pick on newer players.
Obviously this is just anecdotal, but I've come across at this point dozens of enemy faction players from other villages who are flagged-up for PvP, and they've just ignored me or wave emoji'd at me while passing by. Had conversations with them out in the field, and a medic from Mist even healed me for a few minutes while I was grinding in the mobster house basement in Kinsen, despite both of us having our PvP flags on.
Not saying it doesn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of deliberate ganking is due to bored Rogues looking for an ego boost.
>>
>>2603189
>>2603100
Yeah, rolling leaf was the best choice we made, sand would either be a miserable experience, or we would topple down those filipinos.
Leafies are literally the golden retrivers of this game it seems, fuckers will literally appear out of thin air to smooch your character then leave
>>
>>2603216
When I stumbled into the Kinsen Quarters last night to purchase the hobo hat they helped me out with the quest. Seemed alright. I have only seen english speaking chat so far as a sandie. There is an overbearing loud sandie that acts as kind of the pvp shotcaller for them it seems. Playing on my leafie right now so couldn't say it's all english 24/7 there. Have encountered helpful people so far from all three villages.
>>
>>2603200
>>2603232
I think I was there with you, and I agree. Out if all times I got ganked, it was all Rogue nins. Me and the lads took a quest to sneak inside mist hotsprings yesterday, and the mist nins helped us find a more secluded path, the three of us were flagged, and we only got attacked two times due to us taking the trip during the mid of a Village war. Seems the issue is the pvp tards who won't accept the social aspect of the game

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised with the community when playing this game due to all the steam reviews slaughtering the community, so I came in with specific expectations. I think thats due to rolling Leaf as they've been very nice, though they can be a little overbearing. I think maybe to make up for the other villages they try to come off as too nice and welcoming and it ends with them following you around, always checking up on you, asking if you need help with everything etc. Still, I'll take it over assholes.
>>
Trying to decide on a mastery, do we have any medical ninja?
>>
>>2603270
Quite a few yeah. Seems we got no fire, weapon or sword nins yet
>>
>>2603200
>You'd think a small community like this wouldn't act like retarded fags towards newbros.
They're in the BYOND mindset still and refuse to get out of it. In their mind they dont need anymore new people because they and their friends have played for 12 years, nobody's gonna leave!

They also think that 150 online max isnt pitiful numbers. It is for an MMO, but its not for BYOND.
>>
>>2603216
This sounds like the edgiest shit ever. This is shit I'd see on the internet in the 2000s. 13 year old me would have loved all of this.
>>
>>2603275
I would have expected fire to be more common, I already made a sand medic so I'll try something else then. Sword or Tools might be fun.
>>
>>2603232
>I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of deliberate ganking is due to bored Rogues looking for an ego boost.

More like rogues salty that the game is changing and taking it out on "lowbies" who dont know "the culture"
>>
>>2603287
Yeah, rogue nins can be edgy af.

The one who talked with me belonged to the Jesters, he killed me, told me I was weak, revived me and said I should leave my village and join them to get strong. They are all 30+ fellas who never grew past their edgy phase, which I find funny in a way.
>>
>>2603275
we've got at least 1 fire. don't know about the others
>>
>>2603287
The sad thing is they're not even 13. They're 20-somethings who never grew out of their 13 year old phase so they pay as a noob PKer with a scythe with BLOOD dripping from it and they're crawling in their skin.
>>
>>2603315
Their beloved BYOND game is changing for the better (or worse).
They will seethe.
They will dilate.
They will quit after having wasted the better part of their life playing it.
>>
>>2603315
You know, they sound a lot like the average channer, makes you think
>>
>>2603356
Comparatively to the average discord and reddit user, anons are a lot more sane.
>>
>>2603270
If you want to pick medic just pick medic.
Literally impossible to have a surplus of medics in this game. Healing is sparse and every party wants/needs you
>>
>>2603372
Only downside to picking medic is wanting/needing every party in turn, since they have no AoE and can't even heal themselves until level 35.
Solo medic in earlygame is actual suffering until level 15 when you get chakra scalpels, and then it's still suffering but slightly faster. Find others around your level and try to progress along with them.
>>
>>2603386
Unless the physical masteries are somehow good at the early game, elementals seem like they are just as bad early on. My cooldowns are too long to fully depend on ranged attacks...
Plus that anon seemed to already want to play a medic, I wouldn't ever recommend playing this game solo anyways
>>
>>2603417
Everyone starts out predominantly meleeing things, yeah. Medic actually has an advantage over most other choices between 15-20, thanks to chakra scalpels attack speed bonus outpacing other options in that range.
Elemental masteries don't really start coming online until level 20 or so, but do start offering good AoE cooldowns from then on, whereas medic is really just stuck 1v1ing mobs until 30/35. Either way, everyone wants a medic on their team when doing basically anything combat related, since healing through items is expensive as shit, so it's still a very good choice as you mentioned.
>>
Didn't realize you level your jutsu up by using it. There's a daily cap for it too so I guess there's a reason to grind mobs.

I can see a lot of potential for this game if they get their act together. I don't hold the clunkiness against them as its obviously not a professional studio but a small team of indie devs who's prior experience before this was probably BYOND and thats it.

I think however, in order to increase the amount of people coming in, since a lot of newbies get driven off, they need to make changes to make it newbie friendly even if it may alienate a small, but vocal core that have been there for years. Its not BYOND anymore. On BYOND you went to these games with certain expectations, that it'd be full of BRs, that there'd be edgelords, lots of PvP etc. but this is on Steam now and when people see something called "Nin Online" they expect an MMO and one of professional quality.

I think the devs are beholden to a very vocal minority and in turn are alienating a potential majority. Shoving the BRs into a containment server was a good step, and step one, to improving the community but now they have to get rid of the bitter old guard. Once they've got passed that hurdle, as hard as it may be to piss them off, they'll find it beneficial with the new members being able to settle in better, and just a better atmosphere.

Basically I feel like there's a lot of acceptance needed that it's not BYOND in 2011 anymore.

MUDs had the same problem as byond games where they heavily focused on the enfranchised players and never once looked at their new player experience. They always just assume if you're a new player you either already know someone or someone will pick you up and teach you the 1000 things you need to know to actually play the game that the tutorial doesn't even mention. I get that the enfranchised players are the ones giving you money usually but even some very minor QOL updates would go a long way in these games.
>>
You guys all read weirdly deep into some of the games we play. The game has a slightly more active RP component and it has notes of FGC because it's PvP oriented. That's really it.

Noticing what
You guys are out here making all these broad declarative statements about the community being unable to move past such and such or "it's not 2011" and it's clearly all shit you've judt made up in your head
We've all grinded mobs before, killing a hundred wolves to level up is nothing special. Somehow the concept of grinding for fifteen minutes to hit level 10 has spun off into this whole in-depth discussion on like the nature of the community and who makes the money and yadda yadda.
>>
>>2604424
yeah, killing thousands of low level garbage mobs is standard in trash mmos where the metric is to stuff you on a treadmill to funnel you into the cash shop. in a game like this, with a 'more active rp component' as you say? what does it add to make it grindy as fuck? and pretending the grind is 'only 15 minutes' just makes you ingenuous as fuck. you know it isnt.
>>
>>2604424
>malding faggot hates the thread is right and sperging out
In other news, I hope this 3v3 tourny wraps up soon. I want to finish grinding out beastiary kills and hit lvl 20 to wear the trashcan hat.
>>
>>2604424
I don't really care if the game is grindy or not. Kill 1000 wolves quests are no different than picking up 20 different quests that end up being the same thing (though I think if you're going to do a stat reset at level 10 anyway, you should just speed up the process of getting to level 10 or start the game with your choice of jutsu).

What I meant by QOL is simple things like 'if you close the tutorial menu, there's not a quick simple way to pull it back up'. The guidebook doesn't even have the tutorial stuff written in it, so when I was doing the tutorial I closed the menu too fast and didn't read the keybind and had to dig through the keybinds to find it instead of being able to just open the tutorial menu again.

That's the kinda stuff enfranchised players would never think about or care about, but it's such a minor change that would improve your onboarding process. The MUD in particular I was referring to had a long convoluted intro sequence that let you pick your stats/skills, but it was poorly explained and a lot of new players couldn't even find the place to pick their stats. Other byond games, like Meranthe, have similar problems too. There's no conspiracy, just complaining about design.
>>
>>2603233
Yeah I've noticed that. Or they'll say something random to you and run off. It feels like today and yesterday they calmed down but Saturday and Sunday it was constant. They'd run up to me and start jumping, or run up to me and make a heart emote, or say silly things and run, or they'll keep helping me with quests. Now they just leave me be.

If I had to guess then I think they were just curious about all the new folk who suddenly appeared and it was a novelty to them.
>>
If you're browsing the thread occasionally Fento as much as I appreciated the 3v3 event for newbs it felt rather rough organization-wise. The TDM and CTF events are cool as the organization for those seem faster and both teams get tickets for participating which is nice. I like that you're trying to give us some fun stuff to do to break up the monotony of the grind and keep things interesting but please on't step on the toes of your vets to do so. The vast majority of them have been really good to us.
>>
Maybe I'm lucky but I've not encountered anyone hostile even in PVP areas, or people trying to ruin the missions I'm on. It's always people who are running by and they'll wave or heart.

I think the Land of Waves (level 20 Arc) might be the single worse quest I have ever seen in an mmo.
Why?
Quest begins with you killing 60 frogs.
Alright you team up with your fellow anons and go to work.
Done that? Now bring 30 drops from the frogs.
Thats 30 * PartyMember eggs you gotta get. Not bad, they drop very often... But the area is just one map and it's not party instanced. You might be fighting with some other locals for drops.
Done that? Now deliver the eggs! The quest giver will COUNT INDIVIDUALLY EACH EGG, you are prompted a dialogue option every few eggs! Pick the wrong choice? HE BEGINS FROM ZERO AGAIN!!!!
Eggs delivered? Alright! Find some guy in the casino town, get jewed out of your cash if you don't deny the first offer for the train keys, resume.
Now, we enter the Trains. You get in a very small wagon filled with gangsters (pic very much related).
See that bald gangster? Not the ones with spears mind you, the only poor fucker that decided not to bring a weapon. Kill 40 of him. Did it? Of course you did! You are in a party silly!
Now get fingers. "over" 10% chance of (thankfully) any of the gangsters.
Again, thats 40 * PartyMember...
Did that? Good! Now get 30 Avulsed Teeth! Whats that? You only got a few? Wonder why?
Well...Remember the bald guy? Hes the only source of teeth! And all wagons are mixed with baldies and spears! Have fun!
This took so long some of the guys just traded teeth with other players. This was by far the worse of it.
Thankfully after that you get to take a break and kill 20 of each spearman, because fuck it we couldnt ask you to do this before, and finally kill 3 bosses

P.S this is my final kill count of the baldies (the one we had to farm the most).
We were quite the big party (two parties, 6 anons total doing the quest and 1 VERY NICE anon that decided to help us) so the real number is higher since they also killed a lot of em and those prob didn't count for my statistics

Eyyy das me, glad you had some fun anon, wish you were on the newbie tourney earlier, it was definitely more interesting than this whole ordeal with the bandits.
I said before and I will say again, if it wasn't for that paid actor who showed up and asked for a red shoe in exchange for 72 units of teeth, I would probably have abandoned the game there, focken bandits

Playing it now, I can sew how miserable the newbie experience can be, and while we met a few decent players in our way, some veterans are trully rotten, like those Mist folks in the frog zone, poaching all our loot and halting our grind

Here's a little peak at what happened during the newbie event.

Yeah, it could be just a concidence, or our sudden apperance really make them change their ways for a while.
I also noticed that they have a big updated bound to launch.
If we took a few weeks and played Nin later, I think the experience would be miles better, due to the fact that they have a MSQ lv 10 in the plans

My overall thoughts on this game is literally: If I wasn't playing this in a group I'd have quit already. Its not just the gankers too but the first 10 levels are extremely rough and boring.
>>
>>2605391
>a mechanically impressive MMO
You're joking
>>
>>2605421
at least the first 10 levels can be done in an hour if you know to just fuck everything and go to wolves with a wooden kunai
i dont know what the fuck they expect of the next 5 levels since each level requires exponentially more exp, 1st jutsu u get is ass, and the dailies are basically the same as sub level 10

>>
>>2605421
And to add on, I actually don't think the game is bad, its good once you get to the good parts, I just shouldn't have to wade through boringness to get there. Especially when its easy to get rid of that boring part by making the levelling quicker and the grind lesser.
>>
>>2605440
I know they had to pad the jutsus since there's so few of them per maestry, but man, why the scroll crafting has korean tier rates?
There's a huge chance you might get bricked and only have a basic bitch jutsu the whole way
>>
>>2605456
I'm really surprised they didnt go full korean MMO and add in an "increased scroll chance" on the cash shop
>>
>>2605319
>Yeah, it could be just a concidence, or our sudden apperance really make them change their ways for a while.

Its definitely not a coincidence since they're organized by a GM who used to do /mmod/ which is why it shouldn't just be because we're here IMO. Keep doing them even after we leave as its also a really good way to get to know people, as it got people chatting with one another too.
>>
>>2605466
The cash shop isn't even that predatory, it'a something that surprised me a ton, thought they would be balls deep with it since it'a such a small game. My only complaint is that you need ninja gold to make a guild, but anything else is open to everyone: Housing, crafting, mounts, storylines, events, unique cosmetics, summons. I genuinely been thinking of giving them a token of good faith just for the good vibes, even thought that's retarded, since we won't be here for long
>>
>>2605474

obviously anyone here can say "hey guys it's me!" so take what i say with as much salt as you please :^)
but yeah, hosting events and tournaments for you lads is fun. i've joined the project a couple of times over the years (PSU and uncharted waters), and i check in on these threads occasionally. you lads are always great to be around. i didn't vote or shill this game (except once in /v/ months ago), but i'm happy the project finally came to a place that means a lot to me. i'm gonna keep doing stuff for lowbies even after the two weeks is up, too, it's one of the only ways i can actually offset nin's unabashed shittiness. still, there's another week and a half left in the wild ride, and i'm sure we'll run into each other again someday after it ends.

>>2605486
you can get the premium currency ingame, like plat in warframe. people sell them in chests of 1k NC ($10), and they go for about 6k-7k ryo. if you get lucky while grinding and drop a nice weapon or cosmetic (~10k - 100k for most), you can easily cash it out and buy some nice hairstyles for the lads or something. (i made a few of them)

Why do all the taijutsu skills knock the enemy away? Isn't that completely counterintuitive? You invest all these points into agility so you have a strong melee attack, you don't want them getting away from you. You have a skill that dashes to the opponent then knocks them away from you. What is the point?
>>
>>2606044
Their skills are reserved to interrupt opponents jutsus. Your main source of damage are basic attacks. Taijutsu uses Flash flicker, Body flicker, Substitution technique and Speed mirage a lot as a gap closer, and they can also expend stamina as a last resort too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X11orzX_JZg&t=96s
