>FAQs
>How alive is the game?
The game still has a considerable playerbase, peaking during Christmas with over 1 million players.

>Is the game P2W?
You can rest assured that if you are good, you can beat other shitters reliably. Shitters can spend millions and still get owned by good players.

This game must have the biggest player base of pussies out of anything I've ever played. So many people literally frightened to simply play the game, contest for ground, many just want to sit in the base from the start regardless of their vehicle, this gets worse the higher the rank you play at.

Comparing old WoT to new, the player base is more skilled now because they’ve been playing the same game for 15 years. Like back in the day I’d be drunk tanking and constantly yolo pushing like a retard and I’d have a win rate in the mid 50s. Now I do the same shit and, although I can occasionally pull off something clever and carry a match when the stars align and I luck out, I’m a solid 49% mediocre player
Players at high tiers 10 seem to take the game more seriously and play “better” in the sense that they’re cautious and expose themselves less and play more patiently

On one side it's a motivator to do arty missions, on the other, nothing else is possible. I'm doing the standard ProtonDB steps and went further with my own, but it's terrible. Anyway went to T8 french arty in the few days of play I've had since reinstalling.

Thoughts on the Medved? I already have the Toro for Tier 9 burst fire fun, might just leave it at that until the Kame comes in.
>>
>>2648641
I think the general impression was it's a pretty mediocre tank that only functions as a brawler. It has poor dispersion/accuracy (0.45) so you're not going to land the entire four round burst unless you're in close, but it also has a pretty long intra-clip (3.75) while not being a particularly fast heavy. Basically you are hoping to be in the right position at the right time (you can influence this to some degree with good game sense) and then when someone in a tank with a longer reload fires you all-in them and kill them before pulling back. If you can't make opportunities like that it doesn't trade very well (3.75 means only someone overextended or tracked is going to take follow up shots,) or do well at mid-range (0.45 accuracy means you're only landing 2, maybe 3 shells out of 4)
The armor is also very mediocre for the close range playstyle - the hull isn't good, at all, and the turret has both a large cupola and a viewport weakpoint that prevent you from sitting hull-down and dumping your mag at your leisure
I think it's still a playable tank, if you got it from a lootbox, but I don't know that I'd direct purchase it. It's certainly nothing like a Skoda T56 or the Kame.
>>
>>2648661

In crew skills, your main goal is Offroad driving, bottom of the barrel soft resistance. As a medium you can double bush for Camo, it could be your 3rd skill.
>>2655743
Rotation Mechanism brings down the factors very slightly, but worsens them by increasing rotation speed. They work off each other. So With your slow aim time it'll be worse with IRM. Use HP and especially T3 Survivability for tracks.
>>
The K91 line feels very weird to play. T7 has 235 Gold pen, T8 330 but that never improves up to T10. The T8 even has Light amounts of Camo with 2.5k DPM. Overall strange line.
>>
>>2655926
Obj 416 with low noise is an absolute meme chariot post 2.0
>>
>>2655895
IRM reduces dispersions on driving forward when you are not turning and guess what you are doing 99% of the time in a combat med when you are peeking over hills or chasing someone down

It also reduces after fire dispersion, even with 4.5 second intraclip it helps because having a smaller bloom means your movement and turret traversing on said bloom will be miles more manageable than if you were using IRM-less build like hardening

IRM or hardening is playstyle diff but I vastly prefer comfortable gun than more hard stats
>>
>>2655743
>>2655895

20 iq choice
>>
>>2656467
>vents/CVS
just play something else at this point
I have a gun handling build and I like my Lion, it's a fun auto-reloader with a pretty snappy gun (if built for it) that lets you pump DPM on the second shell like a reverse auto-reloader with an emergency shot in reserve
Reverse auto-reloaders (and auto-reloaders in general) are very powerful and usually pay really heavily for it, so considering the Lion's surprisingly okay turret, mobility, and usable gun handling it's in a pretty nice place for what it is
>>
Why would I play the tier 11 Leo over the tier 10?

You wouldn't, WG failed to design a meaningful T11 and in fact made it worse than the T10

It's actually not that bad I think people think Squall's camo rating is WAY worse than it actually is
No, you're not outspotting a stationary Even 90, but I catch them out of position SURPRISINGLY often and they get deleted by an HE clip
And against other LTs that aren't braindead, you can scout surprisingly well. It's a bit fat to be a proper active scout (but you can still get away with a decent amount of stuff as long as you're doing it defensively) but if you take the right positions you're far from being a retarded pseudo-med that gets spotted from the moon by heavies (looking at you, Blackdog!)

the average player can't scout because they crutched too hard on elc even 90 and manticore that they feel other lights are too large, but i don't blame them too much

i have experience in anti-scouting and playing big chassis LTs but that's like 1000 games over a decade. i'm always going to ask people what they know before going into LT assassins, let alone the light tank class.

we have 44 maps, 2 spawns each so you have to memorize the right bush angles per side, decent understanding of the camo system, the game sense to predict how the game could play out in 2 minutes / enemy positioning AND have a competent enough team to plug gaps or help you out

the knowledge gap and economy/crew requirement to get into decent LT gameplay is frankly crazy and i never tell new and/or bad players to play LT ever in current WOT unless they are REALLY in love with WOT or are jumping through the hoops for tank campaign missions

>>
>>2694083
Because Wargambling has forgotten how to make a unique tank without making it overpowered. I could imagine a T8 premium artillery
>5shot autoloader
>2s interclip
>4-5s stun
>less stun per repeat-hit
>low damage
>slow reload
>very fast shell speed
>good accuracy
You have a tank that has to move positions and can't just hit over mountains, which also can't be dodged well and really only exists to make those "Stun multiple enemies" missions less annoying. And its gimmick of having that unique stun falloff makes it less like a TX french arty. So no focusfire.

Yes. Blood guy you see yourself in the mirror a few dozen times in-game. and RoTT you have a character select screen and pick which character/class you want to be (everyone picks the fastest one cuz if you dont there are some secrets you cant get)
>>
PSA: I spam camouflage on every tank because it looks cool, but just learned last night that not only does each camo have three different size scales for the pattern, some camos have multiple different color combinations you can swap between.
>>
Oof that Far Cry tank looks rough, good dpm but a bloody massive cupola on top
>>
>>2706118
Maybe, but there are a lot of tanks with massive cupolas that do well (e.g. the Renegade, even if it's less popular now)
I think it has SPHT HE pen so it's sort of the poor mans SPHT? It also has a workable turret if you're working a ridgeline, you can never hide the cupola but you're not going to get hit in it every single time ever if you aren't exposed for significant amount of time (and it has decent enough gun handling for peekaboo)
>>
>>2707474
I might get it actually as they say the gun handling is going to be improved on release as well as HP up to 2000. Think QB also said HE was going to be 150 pen which is nice. That cupola is bullshit though, but you can't have everything. You can just play smart and do some good trades with the DPM and you'll earn a lot of credits plus bonds.
>>
>>2707501
It already has 0.16/0.16/0.08 on Tanks.gg which is pretty usable, if they improve that further AND give it 2000 HP there's no way it won't be good
Giving it a tiny or non-existent cupola with the otherwise pretty solid turret face (granted it suffers a bit if you're using gun depression and expose the bottom of it) would make it a bit TOO good

>M-VII-Y

everyone comparing M-VII-Y to SPHT are retarded because it's missing 10 km/h and a ton of engine power, otherwise you might as well start calling GSOR the TANK a poor mans SPHT too

M-VII-Y doesn't have troll armor like the SPHT does against regular rounds nor the mobility or low profile to play like a crackhead around hard cover
ignoring the obvious commander cupola weakspot, the turret curves downward like maus so even f2poors can lob shots near the turret ring for RNG pen

go play AE Phase 1 if you want to play a tier 9 USA heavy that sits like a hulldown bitch. at least AE Phase 1 get 340 HEAT pen while being a free tank from battlepass...

I'm getting so tired of this game, trying to grind but so much of your XP is dependant on the 14 other mongoloids you get paired with. Can literally earn more by sitting back and doing jack shit than by sweating if the 50/50 goes your way. Think I'd just prefer War Thunder where win gets you a bonus but individual performance counts for a lot more.

The mkpz is too team dependant, you will need to use your team as extra hitpoints to be able to deliver more than 2 shots per battle

Looking for tech tree advice on which lines are worth grinding up to play for fun. Currently my only tier 10 is the IS-7. Most of these lines I have ground up to tier 8 or so. Main lines:
TDs:
>T110E4
Heavies:
>T110E5
>E100
Mediums:
>M48 Patton
>E50M
>Obj. 140
Lights:
>Sheridan
>T-100 LT
>Rhm. Pzw.
>Tesak
Side branch lines for later down the road:
>T57 Heavy
>Ares
>Maus (though I really didn’t enjoy the Vk 100 p, maybe superheavies aren’t for me)
>Leopard I
>IS-4
>Obj. 430U?
>>
>>2726850
do you use food?
do you fire gold? if you don't, do you have intuition trained?
for lights - how much knowledge do you have about the camo system and map positioning? can you ignore your team yelling at you for not playing their way?

for fun is also somewhat subjective. do you aggro and try to break enemy positioning, or are you more comfortable with hanging back and punishing misplays?
>>
>>2726850
>T110E5
Kind of pointless now that both Soup conq and canopener exist, it's a solid choice nevertheless since the turret weakspot is a 50/50 chance to bounce standard ammo
>M48 Patton
Very limited by the mobility, but exceptional gun handling and can outspot reckless LTs, if you know how to play big soft tanks, you will prosper in it
>Obj. 140
Very little downsides, but the downside that exists is a big one - the fuel tanks are next to the driver, you will need to run fire extinguisher with it
>Ares
Despite the nerfs the T11 is still a death machine, but you will be punished for overexposing
>Leo
If you don't know how to use your team as extra HP, you will be punished
Excellent spotter if you find yourself without lts
>>
>>2726850

IS-4 is pretty outdated and not worth.

So tired of grinding out the Gorilla, don't really like the play style of the E4, don't know why I started. I thought the alpha of the T-30 would be fun and it is at times but it's very situational. Should be done soon then I think I'll grind the Leopard 1, definitely more my type of vehicle.
>>
>>2726850
>M48 Patton

IX's stronger, meme counter spotting vision maxxing can be fun and effective. Just get M60 in the bond shop.

Heavies: China rockets might be memeable if you enjoy IS-7. Czech heaviums. Soviet double barrels & Polish brappers.

Mediums: 430's a nice minimal modules grind. Weak frontal fuel tank/ammorack Worth hardening if brawling.

Lights: Sheri brass are func; Rhm >T-100 roach AIDS gun depression for DPM memes and higher pen HE. Brit one for max camo.

SIDE:
>MAUS: Piñatas, XI sort if worth it. IX reverse turret Maus thing for bonds has better turret than Maus itself. Jap overmatch if you want to do doom turtle stuff.

>LEO
Get the old French IX/10 in Collector's Vehicles then decide on grind. If you dont care for Lights, similar playstyle challenges.

>IS4

Finally ground it out, it's quite the upgrade over the E4 so happy about that, more speed and armour. Did 4k in my first game with 0 rank crew and no upgrades and made a profit too by just firing standard ammo. The cage stays the same colour as the other guy said but that doesn't really bother me.

i don't play very often anymore, and when i do it's only for 2 to 5 games on a select few comfort tanks
i have an entire garage of kitted out tier 10 that i don't play, even when onslaught was going on. with tier 11 being boring due to lack of tank variety and tier 9 and 10 getting flooded with prem tanks, i'm honestly thinking about allocating all those bond equipments to tiers 6 and 7

by the way, any professional TOG II gamers?
bond turbo for the extra 1 km/h or T3 experimental turbo for faster rotation?
does TOG take a lot of module damage?
>>
>>2736970
I probably wouldn't bother putting fancy equipment on the TOG II, it's a meme pick you drag out every once in a while for fun not a tank you try to hyper minmax to hard carry matches with
You have fuckall armor with no flexibility and not even a bond turbo/T3 Exp Turbo is going to make you move fast enough to avoid soaking hits
I think it takes an average amount, you don't really need Experimental Config if that's what you're asking. Hardening, (Bounty) Turbo since I think you can dismount that for a kit and a rammer. The gun handling isn't great but the tank also doesn't move fast enough to bloom it enough to need vert stabs and 0.35 is enough you don't need to be running something like aiming. Your terrain resist is good enough you don't need grousers on hard/medium so off-road will get you moving at your full 19km/h. In fact your resists are good enough compared to your top speed/PW I might take Lightweight for the durability.

new/returning player here (yes, unironically), haven't played in years, never made it past tier 9 (got a e75, liked that tank) for """"germany""""" and t32 for usa
what are currently the best heavy trees for people like me? looking into it I assume IS-7 (obv) and WZ-111 5A which is essentially the chink version of the soviet line I guess, mostly interested in heavy tanks or TDs that play like heavies
my rationale being that E100 is just too damn slow while the t110e5 has the small turrent and I don't want to deal with that shit right now which is why I won't be getting them as T10s any time soon so my only options are all-around strong and easy to use tanks that also don't have a dogshit line (that I can't skip for free exp since I have almost none left) so I can focus on learning the game
I haven't played in 3ish years, any big changes to progression/game mechanics that I should be aware of?
>>
>>2739108
IS-7 is not new player friendly anymore because it needs field mods to reduce the terrain resist stat, but you have to research the tier 11 at 325k exp first

How much credits do you have? Are you okay with switching to gold ammo to penetrate modern meta armor, or are you a 100% silver ammo only player?
>>
>>2739150
>How much credits do you have?
around 1.5 millies
>Are you okay with switching to gold ammo to penetrate
uh yeah if I have to

more than a new player friendly tank I just need a tank that will allow me to make some mistakes, the two tech trees where I got ahead are not ending with those kind of tanks, besides what would be a new player friendly tank anyway, you are getting there with shit crew, no good equipment and all that, you are fucked whatever you choose

before i write down what tech tree tanks seem good for a new player, turn on the armor flashlight in settings first. this is not enabled by default for returning players

this was introduced last october during the big version 2.0 update. it significantly reduced the knowledge gap required for tier 8+ gameplay, but has the side effect of non-meta tanks having significantly worse armor efficiency.

>I just need a tank that will allow me to make some mistakes
the nature of high tier battles does not really allow mistakes to happen anymore compared to even 3 years ago.
the high tier tanks WG releases and what the playerbase settles on are BIG alpha single firing tanks that will slam 500+ damage into you, or autoloaders that dump 800 to 1600 damage into you in about 8 seconds

these are the current tech tree tanks that could be considered "new player friendly". the japanese superheavy line is the strongest tech tree line that holds their own against all the premium tank / gold spam ever since their giga buffs a while ago

If you are merely looking for a comfortable tech tree grind over a strong individual tank, consider these following lines
>Object 432u (Russian med)
>Object 140 (Russian med)
>Type 5 H (Japan heavy)
>Batchat 25T (French med), but the tier 11 sucks
>E100 (German heavy), but you've already did this line

or do what everyone else does and buy one strong premium tank for cash and be done with it
>>
>make one over peek/mistake
>the MBT-B or Blackrock magdumps you and you lose your entire tank instantly
>>
>>2739649
idk if I'd call the Batchat line comfortable considering it's an LT line into a MT line at T9 and requires good map awareness and game sense

centurions get gold spammed on the flat side on the turret and gold mantlet.
udes has no one shooting regular ammo at it anymore. the entire hull gets HEAT spammed now with giant "fuck me here in the green areas" no matter how you angle

... do i look retarded enough for you to suggest that i do that?
i can go 70 km/h on a object 260 meme grouser build with no vstabs and have no issues with gun accuracy.

CS-63 i had to grind out the entire 225k exp on field mods for slightly usable accuracy WITH bond vstabs because the paper stats on the gun is a lying piece of shit that goes straight into the round despite playing in regular mode at 60 km/h.

yes Ive never obtained a t10 (I got filtered by the t6 grind and jumped to wows back in the day)

this as well. I hated that wows also had the hide behind a hill(island) and spam for damage. I stopped caring and grinded to the t6 american spg. just to blast the 5 heavy tanks sitting behind the hill. Its unfortunate that both wot and wows had this oppertunity to make a non realistic power fantasy where you can TANK in heavy tanks or in batleships and couldnt see it though. I kinda understand it though, dps vehicles need something to dps, and the big gun heavy hitting heavy tanks want to fight eachother so everyone is gunning to kill the big guys and crashing the gameplay (with no survivors)

If you're loading gold it's to go through their turret face and not deal with cupola sniping, if you can't pen their cupola with standard rounds then honestly just leave and go to a different flank or fall back and wait for them to get bored and overpush
Yes, the gameplay can be mind-numbingly fucking dogshit at times welcome to modern WoT where a single mistake means instantly getting by three different guys for 800, 1000 and 400+400 in the span of three seconds and dying before you can even do anything about it so you sit hull down with your pixel thin cupola staring at their pixel thin cupola and trying to decide if it's worth wasting several rounds to try to hit it
>>
>>2756443
idk I think you can, or at least could before the insane DPM/fire creep, tank in battleships pretty decently
the state of Battleships back in say 2018 was pretty fucking good, your Montana could take a lot of punishment if you angled it properly and didn't let a Yamato citfuck you.
WoT sorta had that too with stuff like the Maus before gold ammo for credits was a thing (and even lower tier stuff like the KV menace back before pen creep invalidated its armor) but I don't know that WoT ever did the armored behemoth tanking huge amounts of fire as good as WoWS did. In tanks you need the right tank, often hyper-specific map positioning and somewhat stupid enemies. In WoWS you just needed good game sense, positioning that wasn't braindead (but you didn't have to hide behind one very specific island on the map to tank millions of HP in a BB) and away you went. The longer TTK helps, even a shitty Kurfurst player in a bad position against competent players would usually last longer than a bad Maus player caught out of position (although that becomes less and less true with each Hawaii or Bremen they add to the game)
>>
>Heavies : fun for those still quite new to the game/want to be powerful

Udariny first official release? people used to doompost hard about this tier 8 russian tank back in 2022. i'm not sure if its that oppressive now, especially with armor flashlight in the game
>>
>>2764612
sidescraping got a big hit in general and K-2 is better at it. even i had problems trying to get people to bounce off the k-2 side armor so i don't know how effective this armor really is in practice, especially when people intuition switch to gold in like 2 seconds.

udarniy have is-3 level top speed at 45 km/h but you need to meme build turbo and grousers to get it. nearly highest in-class gold shell pen at 285 HEAT pen.

i don't think it's a super good tank for aggro play. if it had more DPM, or better terrain resists i would've bought it as a baby object 260 clone.
>>
The Far Cry tank is actually pretty good, using hardening, rammer and turbo. With the speed you have a few more options than most other heavies.
>>
>>2764612
I bought it, one can never have too many Russian heavy tanks
>>
I honestly only find myself playing the 703 II, I got rid of my IS-6 for it and that was a good trade-in
>>
>>2765473
do you find udarniy fun? what build?
>>
>>2766810
I have not played it yet. Might try it tonight. I slapped tasteful camo on it, threw in hardening/rammer/turbo (I could see hardening/vstab/turbo too but I haven’t looked at the stats yet WG ITS BEEN 15 YEARS WHY ARE THERE STILL HIDDEN STATS I CAN ONLY SEE ON THIRD PARTY WEBSITES), and threw in a brand new crew, which I expect to train in repair then BIA then whatever.
It looks like a standard Russian brawling heavy that can’t hit shit and its gun depression gives you gun depression and its alpha was good for 2014, but has good armor.

At least these are new(ish) and interesting, but I'm not sure the Terri is worth buying when I'm pretty sure it was basically a sidegrade of the tech tree tank

stuck on final wave for the 2nd difficulty, I like how the turtle enemy doesn't have a frontal weakspot to shoot and they can absolutely obliterate you in 3 shots
>>
Won't be able to play the new mode until tonight. What's the general strategy for it this time around? Last time, settled on a mix of Grom/Turtle/high DPM TDs with armor, and fast mobile snipers like Kpz 07 RH and ShPTK to roam hunt obelisks. And the "fast reload" skill was key to murdering boss from behind.

Map is more open, AOE abilities defacto nerfed, don't get shot by the turtle special enemy, guaranteed multiple crits on you
Team composition definitely needs a runner to take out the obelisks
>>
not a fan of this DPM race event
>>
So what do we think about the Summer Sale?
I didn't buy anything but at the same time at least they've sold a bunch of interesting tanks.
I'd probably buy both the Latt and the XM57 if I didn't already have both, the Terri was at least new and I don't remember if the Udarniy has been sold either
I haven't fished anything good out of the pond though, has anyone got anything that isn't common? I'm thinking it's probably a determined pool and the only thing that changes is the order each person gets their T-34-3/Skoda T17/Pz58 etc in

the finishing event was full of shitter tanks at 50% off. the only thing there remotely worth it was 59-patton for having comfortable turret dispersion on a DPM medium, and even that got obsoleted by panther 8,8 cm

if i wasn't slowly falling off this game and didn't drop 80 boxes to get an MBT-B from the last scam tiered lootboxes i'd get terrifiant.
improved gun, +2 km/h faster base stats and vastly better acceleration due to terrain is overall an upgrade to big gun AMX M4 51
>>
>>2782047
The thing is though, are the TINY upgrades to the big gun (when small gun M4 51 is usually played anyways) and a LITTLE bit better mobility worth paying for a T9 premium?
It doesn't offer anything that new and it's not really a huge upgrade, I think the niche here is "I love playing big gun M4 51 so much, I just wish I made premium tank income playing it" or maybe "I have my crew in the Fauteur but I really wish I could play my M4 51 again"

i've played the pre-nerf french heavy line and it could do so much more when it had 40 km/h

terrifiant base speed being 35 km/h is significant in an aggro frontlining vehicle.
when the amx m4 51 got double tapped to 35 km/h to 33 km/h in that big version 2.0 update last october that nerf really hurts.

they tried to justify the speed nerf by buffing the firepower on the big gun amx m4 51 but the terrifiant have an even more improved gun while retaining pre-nerf speed limits and better terrain resists

it's straight up an upgrade along with credit earning potential. the only thing that sucks is weaker armor on corner peeks but the m4 51 upper armor already got lolpen by gold so whatever for the tier 9 french heavies. if i was slamming 100 games a week like last december i would've bought.
>>
the ares 75 oneshots the hedgehogs and HE pens the obelisks, I think it is a much better choice as an obelisk runner than the kpz 07
>>
Thoughts on the Japanese STK-2 line? Worth a grind? I like flexible heavies like Super Conq and E5.
>>
>>2782533
very mid tier VI and VII
picks up at VIII and stays fun
type 71 and stk are just very fat mediums
>>
>>2782403
I’ll try it out but I’m skeptical, I think its sustained DPM will be low. K pz 07 is the best runner I’ve found, better than shptk (too slow) How does it interact with the fast reload skill? Does it drop the heat like in onslaught?
>>
>>2782657
I think the burst damage is a better option to avoid being overwhelmed, but you will not do anything against the boss
>>
>>2772303
I think this problem is highlighted in the new gamemode. that is, the game isnt balanced in a fun way around selfishness. With the ai in the newmode you always see them rushing in and overwhelming from both sides, and it works if you dont have a good team comp. made me wonder? how come no one in the base game plays like this and would rather stack up behind a mound pf dirt with 5 other men? no one wants to be that guy who breaks the stalemate with his body because it simply isnt rewarded. what is rewarded is counterplay against any form of aggression thanks to spgs and module breaking and exposed flanks once you push out of the choke and dabbing that 2 key. oh and getting exp cucked like the free thinking GOY that you are. once again you cant tank in the tank game. theres too much risk in a push that only the most lightest of tank gamers and garage enjoyers can endure, and that psyops the player base to camp bush. there needs to be risk to make risk taking enjoyable but too much risk transforms into restriction. bad plays or bad luck becomes more like punishment. I like how wows rewards you for tanking damage and how you have enough space and time to take risk assessments, but it isnt too lenient since once you commit you cant just turn around and run away.
>>2775329
I loved parking my spg right behind one of the two main lines there and just memeing on the heavies who think youre parked at spawn. lights rushing mid? never 4get theres always a td in the td spot.
i always lament at the state of open maps. like that one with the crashed blimp. they added all these nice hills and village houses but no one uses them and bundles themselves at the blimp or castle. and for me the reason why is that the hills and houses only provide cover from getting shot at from the bases, not the flank. once again wargaming has made a map which funnels everyone away from having any form of divergent gameplay unless youre a suicide light (also known as a pro gamer)
>>
>>2783153
>no one wants to be that guy who breaks the stalemate with his body because it simply isnt rewarded
I do this because I still pretend I’m playing in the beta, drunk tanking in my IS-2 while blaring Daft Punk’s “Essential Selection Hotmix” from 1999, circle strafing and ramming fools and jumping in to buy my teammates time

There are more impactful carry options for heaviums. But if you want more speed + more turret armor, and a medium favored playstyle, the VIII isn't terrible to grind, and the rest are fine. Take the 113 from the Collectors Vehicles first and ask yourself if the lack of gun depression is worth trading off Alpha dmg.

>>2772303
>t. Didn't win their weak side faster than they are breaking ours and can't be fucked to push laterally ahead of time to counter that and/or prevent being capped out and/or isolated and farmed ineffectually in their spawn.

beat the final wave on brutal, team composition E-65 (You), King Tiger, 2x KPZ 07 and tortoise
A lot of AOE ablities were spammed, the vampire heal and stun shot came in clutch, the team properly focused one flank on the waves where the enemy comes from 2 directions and I think this is the key

Matches matter with one life and can last up to 15 minutes
The player vessels are neat historical tanks (only applies to tier 7 or below)
>>
Saw an amazing clutch on the last round of brutal tonight. Losing tanks left and right, I rushed in and bursted down the Zero before exploding, leaving only a VK 100 left. I was sure we were gonna whiff and run out of time but he perfectly lines up and chain rams the last three tanks with literally two seconds left on the clock. Absolutely beautiful.
I generally like to play Kpz 07 or ShPTK in this mode but I’m a believer in the meme tam build now. Seen some hilarious shit when you get three superheavies on a team. Still need a fast med and a DPM TD for balance but they can perform well when the stars align
>>
sometimes when I spg I try supporting the lesser flank but I find that its not reliable to let the heavy blob just duke it out by themselves. not that I would make much of a difference but im learning to dedicate my time to get into a good postion to peepeepoopoo on the largest mass of players
>>
>>2795953
SPG got neutered with the stun reduction nerf and inability to damage internal modules on splash and setting people on engine fire
It’s not fun anymore. It’s more entertaining to be a TD bushwanker these days

It doesn't look THAT bad, aside from being a lazy kitbash
It's meant to be a T10 Bourrasque and it looks to have pretty stupid burst potential with 1400/5s, but it does ultimately lack any meaningful armor and it doesn't quite have the LT levels of camo the Bour has that'd make it really monstrous.
But the DPM is pretty good, the burst is exceptional, the pen and gun handling aren't terrible (although it doesn't have award winning accuracy) and it has pretty respectable speed and P/W although it'll need off-road for the piss poor ground resists (it can't hit 60 on soft)
It doesn't bring a super niche playstyle with it though - it's a poor man's MBT-B (although having a smaller and more compact profile with twice as much camo and a bit more speed will probably make it a lot more survivable) and you can also just play the BC25t as a tech tree tank - you do less burst and require more time to magdump, but honestly it's usually an all or nothing situation anyways where either you can sit there for the full 10s to magdump your entire clip or you get punished within 2-3 seconds in which case the Durendal wouldn't get its second burst either.
I think it's a cool tank, and there's probably some value in owning it, but a lot like the Ashigaru it feels like a 750k fxp tank and not a 1m fxp assembly shop.
>>
>>2797806
Durendal doesn’t seem too bad to me either.
Usable turret armor and being able to time your peeks to the burst instead of exposing yourself in regular autoloaders is strong and more suited to current tier 10 burst meta
I already have an identical playstyle with MTB-B so i won’t get it. It’s surely better than vickers 3 MBT and aSHITgaru
>>
>>2797905
The turret armor is a lot thinner than the suggested value, although I guess it does have some auto-ricochet angles
While the gun is the same general playstyle as the MBT, I'm not convinced it'll be the *exact* same playstyle. The MBT-B has fuckall camo and relies almost entirely on using hard cover, catching someone out and then magdumping them hard. The Durendal has enough camo you can play it like a regular medium, abusing bushes to get into decent positions and possibly even firing from stealth. I think that and the extra 10km/h base speed is going to lend a relatively different playstyle to the vehicle. I'd love to see the two vehicles next to each other for a size/profile comparison but the Durendal also seems to be pretty compact for what it is.
I don't know that it's worth 1m if you already have the MBT (which I do, so I'm really debating if I grab this one) but I don't think it's going to be a boring clone of the MBT-B but instead it'll be a proper medium tank and not a support heavy
Honestly I'd love to get the opinion of someone like Iyouxin on this thing before it releases, but I think it's going to be pretty strong. Even some of the more mediocre CCs are putting up good numbers in it.

>The Durendal has enough camo you can play it like a regular medium, abusing bushes to get into decent positions and possibly even firing from stealth
the bursting is trolly for playing like a medium tank at range though, if you had experience trying to hit moving targets at range with MBT-B
>I don't think it's going to be a boring clone of the MBT-B
durendal is more of a TVP competitor than anything else, the more i look at the firepower stats
it's really strong for the medium tank slot it occupies in queue. getting a durendal player is loads better than an Ares 90 or progetto 65 player
