Okay, so first off, how the fuck does this game HAVE SO MANY GRIEFERSLike my ban list is gigantic, yeah yeah, "ITS UR FAULT FOR MAKING IT PUBLIC RETAAAAAAAARD" valid, valid. But, as I'm playing, why is there so many griefers? Like an absolutely exceptional amount of them. For a game that has no real "barotrauma trolling" youtubers the same way that red dead redemption 2 roleplaying has it or GTA 5 RP, where the trolling is 100% deserved. just a nonstop array of children and middle easterners/russians sprinting for any explosives, poison, or blowing up the reactor with zero provocation, and for what? to get instantly banned with no knowledge of the seething unless they happened upon this very thread, even getting multiple copies of the game to continously keep griefing.Anyway, I died to a TRIO of griefers, whom I previously banned which means they actually went and got more copies of the game where I banned two, but the last one managed to kill me and a friend. Does anyone here have the know-how to do the files to force my character and his back, while keeping the game in ironman and still able to get steam achievements?
>>2720640>why is there so many griefers?Because it's a SpaceStation13-like, a very accessible one. SS13 (and SS14) has trolls, but those are just the dedicated freaks who had the time and autism needed to learn it's mechanics. Most would-be trolls end up getting filtered by the clunky gameplay and horrible UI, and the ones that do make it past the filter just get banned by moderators anyway.Barotrauma has similar gameplay and mechanical depth, but is too accessible for it's own good. Anyone can learn the game in a single session, so it only takes a troll a few minutes to learn how to nuke a reactor.
outside of poverty runs on the dugong or whatever you need a high ratio of autists correctly pantomiming their roles relative to players fucking around or getting in the way for it to be funit's not really a party game or sandbox you can drop into with the drawn out campaign, character building/mutations and the time and tedium cost of big mistakes (and ""mistakes""). thus most of the people hosting/joining pubs are totally unserious and last I checked half were constant third world deathmatch, finding a closed group is non-negotiable if you want to play without rolling back every hour or two
