Why does Retrostudio get so much hate, even though it's the only safe old Roblox simulator where you can actually make your own games? Sure, it's not a 100% accurate recreation of how old Roblox used to be, but it's not like other simulators do it any better. Honestly, I'd say it's way better than using off site launchers that are full of security issues and potential malware.Speaking of security issues, I remember a chat log shared on the Retrostudio Discord where a group talked about exploiting a vulnerability in Novetus? iirc to RAT the owner's PC. They wanted to hack all of his social media so he couldn't get help and get him banned from Roblox forever. Can anyone explain the appeal of reality show games on Roblox? I’ve played automated ones like Total Roblox Drama, Outlaster, and Eviction Notice, but people claim manually hosted games are superior. curious, I stumbled across Big Brother Reloaded which fits the description and joined a live hosted season. I was randomly picked as a contestant, and the experience was bizarre, if not awful, to say the least. (essay warning)Right off the bat, it was hard to take the game seriously when the lobby mostly consisted of generic Barbie dolls and "pretty boy" avatars (you'll get what I mean if you decide to, hopefully not, check out the game). Unlike the real show, there is very little genuine socializing. instead, most players know each other from past seasons. The first nomination happened simply because one player held a grudge against another from a previously hosted game. to top it off, the host had a rule to type !help if anyone didn't know a challenge's rules, and I was apparently the only one who had no idea what to do.the community itself felt very unwelcoming. Nobody wanted to talk to me, except two people who added me as a friend just to boss me around in DMs under the guise of an "alliance". Eventually, I was nominated for eviction by someone who claimed I never talked to him, ignoring the fact that he had actively brushed me off when I tried to chat with him at the beginning of the game. I ended up getting voted out, even after explaining that it was my first time playing and asking them for a fair chance.My takeaway is that, unless you are willing to spend hours playing a poorly designed recreation alongside a cliquey community that treats a Roblox game like a high stakes corporate ladder, you are better off watching the actual TV show instead of wasting your time on these toxic simulators.
