The smartest thing financially would instead be to establish some sort of whale economy via the cash shop, minimize development, and ride that long-term to profitability. That's what they did and it was successful. The brilliant attempt from the dev team to change course was KotFE which went over like a lead balloon. From a business POV, Swtor wasn't worthy of additional heavy investment. It was clearly never going to be the MMO phenom they were gunning for. Anthem was their next attempt to snag that next-gen multiplayer, live-service audience, and they ended up shooting even wider than before. I can only conclude that Bioware lost the mandate of heaven after Mass Effect 3. Or you know, should have stuck to what the studio was good at instead of trying to make WoW or Destiny.

After looking at Green lightsabers for over 10 years, I went from tolerating the regular Green crystal, to hating it and switching to regular Blue, to itching for Green and switching to Mint Green, to switching to Desert Green, all the way back to thinking the regular Green isn't that bad and putting it back in. If I had my way, the Knight Ataru disciplines would have Overhead Strike, Plasma Brand, Zealous Leap, Impale, and a passive that allows Force Leap to be used within 10m. Also, Vigilance is now an Ataru class, not Shien. I don't understand how the Ataru class (Combat) doesn't have a bunch of jumping animations. It's baffling.

I took a break recently to catch up on some other games and this is a slow season for swtor, but the rumors for 8.0 have me really excited and I've been playing again.
