Those are both good classes right now and they're really easy to play. Tanks aren't a real thing in the game though, picking a class is more about what specific fighting archetypes and visuals you enjoy, or whether or not the key input combo flow of a class is fun for you. Your first class doesn't really matter though so just pick what looks fun and figure out the rest later

Most worker stuff you want to just leave for a while to amass large quantities, then process. Ideally you want to organise things into separate storages to keep everything clear, for example I have all my ores and gems in Velia, herbs and alchemy stuff in Heidel, and timber in Calpheon. Workers can do that for you when you set them going on a node.
If you want to make trade crates, you should be doing that in Valencia and then selling them in Nampo to get the maximum trade distance bonus. So really I'd just say hold on to it for now, the quantities you have aren't huge but will build up quickly with patience.

dps checks are so incredibly shit, used to be i tagged a class and pulled competitive trash/hour regardless of my skill level, i followed a rotation or priority list and managed to have a good hour, one way or another. i learned from there, starting with nothing but profiting both in silver and in skill. now i can't fucking pass the dps check and even risked death a couple times by playing something i'm not familiar with. what the fuck is this, why am i supposed to be so proficent in a class to fucking grind, can't i tag something and still grind what my main can, why does it have to be so difficult it's already a waste of time. now i'm supposed to learn a class, reeeally learn a class, to fucking perform or even just to survive? no thanks and no thanks, i won't go back to dsr or gyfin or some other stationary low tier spot just to spend 25 hours mastering micromovements and cancels, go fuck yourself

rate is based on kills as is drop rate its 3 points per kill. So places where you kill more mobs = faster drain rate but drop rate is always the same so places with faster drain rate = faster drop rate. It is not affected by drop rate according to them.

I think Aphrodon's implementation is pretty bad, basically the entire time you are under a DPS check, it normally only becomes a risk when you have to play around the scarecrow, but yeah you can't take a moment's respite. With Hermesia there's only one part which is a DPS check, outside of that you can take as long as you want with the first and last packs and both of the bosses. Aphrodon is not a good introduction to these types of mechanics.
