I can see that being annoying in rare cases where you'd have to press H to hold fire but it's obviously strong otherwise. 6.5 range too.D is basically a 4th ability and it doesn't interrupt her attacking.Orb R is the highest damage (875) ult at max channeling, beating Pyroblast.Some awkwardness in how Q+W have to be combo'd and how unintuitive E is unless you use it as a quick dash.Lots of damage and you can talent for a bit of disruption but no self-sustain and crappy defensive talents.

I'm trying to imagine a Xal played perfectly, and I think she can be hard to punish given how strong a backward E is. No CC or point and click damage means E can't really be punished, but that's every hero. Draft CC to win.That being said her Q is short range and W does little unless it explodes on something marked by Q. So playing her at a safe range neuters the hero's damage, unlike a Chromie or a glass cannon W Ming. Nothing uniquely unfair here.Her Rs are also a DPS loss because of the 2s channeling time. The level 20 Void Eruption upgrade is however genuinely disgusting and needs a nerf. It's zoning, insane damage over time, insane burst, and it basically resets cooldown if it catches 3 heroes.

I can usually see what a hero was going for, or what kind of autist is going to main that hero for years and stubbornly never swap, but I don't see that with Xally, she just has good damage and a big fuck you R at 20 but she doesn't really have an enjoyable niche imo.

Who are your Heroes of choice if you want to smack people with big autos in QM? Normally for me it's Zul'jin, Leoric, or an attempt at Wizened Duelist Greymane but I've been trying out Alarak with the Discord Strike build recently and it's a lot of fun, depending on the enemy team.
