Since the first song in Junior is free, the goal is to have 5 songs overall. If you look at the monthly earnings you get a feel for how much the ratios matter since the difference between top 5 /v/ clubs used to be within 150M but now the gap is 1.5M because of auto. Lets say EDEN is full tryhard and fits in 16 runs a day per trainer vs /v/mers which is 1/3 tryhards if we're being generous. In practice /v/mers tryhards aren't going to be doing 16 runs a day so it's really maybe 3 or 4 EDEN-tier tryhards worth there. There are going to have been tryhards who just didn't have time before to fit in as many runs as they could but with auto that opens up doors for them to 10x their output. The higher up the rankings you go, the higher the club tryhard ratio becomes so this gives the appearance of a drop in performance but the reality of it is that the time commitment demand became higher and those who play casually wouldn't be changing their play rate significantly even with auto.
