>What is ROSE Online?
ROSE Online is a 2000s-era Korean MMO developed by Gravity Interactive, the studio behind the venerable Ragnarok Online. Originally considered a spiritual successor to RO, ROSE draws many elements from that storied title and presents them in a classic grind with a cutesy, 3D aesthetic.

The Clan's been expanded yet again! At 30 slots in total, surely this'll be where we stand for a fair while to come. Inb4 we're nearly maxed-out again by tomorrow evening.
Major, major props to Parasyte in particular for putting in some serious overtime in rushing Valor Quests for the occasion. Takes time out of ones' otherwise-expected grind to divert attention towards the wider goal of Clan maintenance, and for that, any and all of (You) who do so have my thanks.

As an aside, for those who get a kick out of researching the titles we play during our stay in them, here's a general glossary of terms and links to various other forum threads/guides, detailing most major aspects of this title:

Mobbing pre-100 is almost impossible and so is AoE farming, taunts override leash so knight is basically required if you want to farm with non single target outside of dungeons and level 100+ parties

You couldn't really tank it either, mobs do NOT fuck around on this title

Made it to Luna!
Never thought I'd see this place for myself. Reaching this beautifully frozen rock was a feat only for the most obscenely committed players back in the day, something spoken on in hushed tones by Level 30s and 40s as Level 90s and 100s walked past them in glowing armor.

A few of us lucked into joining some of the grinding parties via the Party Finder tool, invaluable from Kenji Beach and onward. Even a small party is better than going it alone in this title.
That said, putting up with the local population while in said parties can prove trying. The obvious language barrier is an issue, albeit one solved through translation sites (or just knowing Filipino as a first/second language yourself)... But the real galling thing is their propensity to join in, roll up, and immediately go afk seemingly in perpetuity, blatantly leaching on full display with absolutely zero shame or self-awareness.
At least having a clanmate or two along for the ride provides a nice outlet for venting together, and assures /some/ of us in the group are actually carrying our weight. If any of you 'lot have ever had to step away from a grind-session before, you can take solace in knowing however-long you've spent pales in comparison to a startling amount of natives on this game's official server.

After enduring some seriously half-functional groups and nearly freezing to death, it's almost Cleric's time to shine.

Just like any other classes' 2nd Job kit, Cleric doesn't really come online 'til a bit later, once you've gained enough skill points to flesh-out more of the board (and gain better gear to make those changes hit harder). As such, while I've technically become capable of throwing down Salamander Flames like any Cleric should, they're far from where they should be to support a proper party, and my Wand-ing capabilities still leave much to be desired. Still have to play like a bootleg Mage for a bit longer, albeit one which could spec into emergency healing if necessary.

The hope is for Level 120 to be the tipping point of Cleric coming into its own, after happening across some choice Skill Books from player shops, and (somehow) landing a better Wand+Magic Tool to be ready for Eldeon. We'll see if that actually comes to pass.

For the past four days since our Clan was founded, we've been rocking one of the default icons clearly intended to be used as a placeholder, rather than anything permanent. Time to customize!

Man, the combat in this is becoming mindless and the leveling experience eventually just devolves into grinding the same mobs for hours on end with obnoxious seanigs who both constantly afk, AND try to police you at the same time. Party level limits are a huge mistake in a title that heavily encourages you to group. Can't even join up with most anons because they're either too low or too high. I'm tired boss.

>Party level limits are a huge mistake in a title that heavily encourages you to group.
Do agree with you there. Can see what the devs were intending, since there doesn't appear to be much (if any) cut in EXP for grouping-up with others, so too wide of an accepted level gap between players would make powerleveling ultra easy (as was the case for all previous versions of this title)... But having a party gap of only 19 levels is annoyingly narrow, especially early on when one or two solid grinding/questing sessions can put you out of range for grouping up with your friends.

Honestly feel guilty whenever seeing one of us in the Clan sitting on their own little level-gated island, with similarly-leveled Anon either offline or just slightly out of reach to qualify for teaming up. Partying together is way more enjoyable than going it alone, so that just stings all the more.
You lads ARE seen, there's just an aggravatingly limited number of ways to assist your plight in this title.

>>3007408
>can you powerlevel the lower levels to catch up?
Outside of the admittedly lame (and occasionally quite frustrating) method of joining groups of natives via Party Finder, the closest thing available to powerleveling for us is having Clerics establish safe grinding sites via their Salamander Flame healing summons.

That's a big part of the reason why I've been rushing ahead to unlock Cleric, backwards as it sounds. Starting from Krawfies at Kenji Beach (level 65 or so), having Salamanders on-deck completely transforms the grinding experience, as their healing effects can be felt by anyone in their vicinity, partied-up or not.
Being able to massively improve our survivability, even if I wasn't earning EXP myself, felt like the best way I could alleviate some of the frustrations of the low-level experience. If anyone at Kenji Beach or Mana Snowfields needs help, feel free to give me a shout.
>>
The game is very unfun, and as usual, everyone has already leveled too far ahead.
We NEED some kind of play-time schedule. We need to establish times to be online to play together - maybe different groups for different time-zones. Otherwise this is all pointless if we can't play together - which is supposed to be the point of the project: to play odd MMOs alongside each other, instead of as singleplayer games, all alone, with only the occasional message in guild chat.
I don't see this project keeping people, and I'm SURE that the next game will destroy any chance of this turning around.
The next game IS going to be the last nail.
>>
>>3008663
We're partying right now and have been chatting all night, nonny.
The party level thing is annoying, but it's not completely game ruining. People will naturally spread out in level due to having different playing hours, that's just not going to change no matter what game we end up playing.
>>
>>3008673
Ignore the schizo.
>>
>>3008663
Or we could just play better games where 5 hours won't desync everyone.
>>
>>3008663
I fall behind because I'm a wagie so I always anticipate playing solo
>>
>>3008663
>>3008674
I can see his concerns as it does happen to anons in awkward timezones or wagecagies. we can utilize sites like https://whenisgood.net/ to sync schedules abit better.
>>
>>3008716
Yes, but you can just say "I'll play at this time on these days" instead of doomposting and expecting someone else to organize a "play-time schedule".
>>
>>3008725
I can see the benefit to scheduling at least with more intensive games where you burn a couple hours a day then quit. stuff like puzzle pirates or lobby mmos for instance. or being the 3 people in a shit time zone would need more coordinated scheduling.
>>
Its just the grind fatigue sets in and anons stop logging in the level divide lengthens and more anons stop logging in because of it, happens with every kmmo
>>
I don't think trying to designate a scheduled playing time for people wanting to play together is necessarily a bad idea, it's just our timezones are pretty split.

Whoops, totally missed blogposting earlier this morning.
Haven't too terribly much time to spare before heading off to work, so let's make these fairly quick, eh?

The second floor of Luna's Forgotten Temple can provide incredible EXP with the right group, but even just getting there is an ordeal in and of itself, navigating both the first and second floors' winding corridors and teleporter exits. Plus, the sheer volume of monsters blocking your path necessitates some deft movement whilst driving through the halls.
Still, if you /are/ able to survive the trip (and the party you're landing in has a well-geared Knight able to handle the deluge of monsters), it's well worth the expedition. Just be sure to bring your sunglasses.

This particularly nasty Minotaur in Arumic Valley is a notable roadblock for anyone keeping up with the MSQ, dealing high damage and regularly stunning players/summons with its attack cycle.
Definitely bring a Cleric along for the ride, and spec yourself to build tanky, as you'll absolutely need it against this guy.

Also, not pictured here, but my ambitions in establishing pop-up grinding camps for others in the Clan via Salamander Flame summons proved fruitful earlier this morning, allowing several of us to kickstart a bear-slaying camp in Mana Snowfields which soon formed into a full party.
Assuring to see these plans are coming to fruition. Have to take what ways of helping you can get, with such restrictive level requirements for parties on this server.

Shaking off the snow and frost, the jungle planet of Eldeon awaits...!
Gorgeous though it may be from the outside, the dark innards of these largely-untamed wilds will easily test anyone brave enough to have survived the level climb back on Luna. This place doesn't screw around, and I highly suggest tapping one of our Clan's respective Artisans, and having them fix you up a set of Reinforced Level 100 armor (and ideally a Hardened Level 100 weapon) before coming here.
>>
File: Extreme Off-Roading.jpg (3.84 MB, 3840x2160)

Upon arriving at Eldeon, a decision must be made: Valor or Levels?

Technically both can be achieved by accepting the various missions offered by the four village leaders stationed around Xita Refuge, but for those who prefer more of the latter choice over the former, running the incredibly dangerous delivery routes to the Sikuku Ruins will be your best bet.
Be warned: The journey is not for the faint of heart, sending you straight into unavoidable damage and LOTS of it. You'll absolutely need to have a set of quality armor, heaps of HP restoratives, and one eye glued to your map at all times while undertaking the treacherous trek. Just over 9 million EXP awaits your successful return for a full two-delivery route, however, so the returns are quite notable if you're able to survive the ordeal.

Worth mentioning the Valor Quests of Xita Refuge are fairly quick to repeat when in a party, assuming you luck into landing one of the good grinding spots, so it might be worth it to collect some Pincer Claws and Pollen Seeds first for a while to pad your Valor count. We'll certainly need heaps of it for equipment and scrolls later on.
