I don't give a fuck what mr fake voice mccringe thinks about diablo 5 no matter how much you post it.
>>3053593cool, it was an interview
With Diablo just outright winning at the start of D5, it becomes more and more impressive how badly Malthael fucked EVERYTHING up by breaking the Black Soulstone. Sure, the stone wasn't going to last forever, but it probably would've lasted another decade or so since most of its energy had been lost when Prime Evil Diablo died. Breaking it wasn't even part of his plan either, it was just a desperation move to try to beat the Nephalem; even if he did win the fight, he was absolutely gonna get fucked by having all the Hell Lords inside him at the same time.
>>3056532>Malthael fucked EVERYTHING up by breaking the Black SoulstoneI think the soulstone would've lasted much longer had Malthy not taken it. We don't know the full extent of its properties after Diablo's defeat unless there were some dialogues I missed. Also Malthael went crazy after wandering the halls of pandemonium for ages so his plan was definitely half-baked.>NephalemOne big hole in blizz's usually okay writing (D4 notwithstanding). Instead of doing something cool with him or make him into some overarching mentor they do nothing. Are we supposed to believe that a being that was able to harness all that power within would just wither and die? C'mon now, not a chance. The character deserves the acknowledgement at the very least like "The Nephalem disappeared, lost to the unknown power/phenomena" or sth like that. It wouldn't be top tier writing but it'd be better than nothing. So much potential. Not that I expect anything from blizzard "writers".
