Do you guys actually like the gameplay?
I ask because Ive deleted all my other mobile games from boredom and only have czn.. For now. And right now its between this and brown dust and id prefer not to get a gooner thing. Everything says this is a worthwhile try but is it...

storywise almost 2 years later and it's usually worse than better

Everyone deserves a comfy thread suited to them after all! I hope this will make both sides happy!!!!

I dont mind powercreep since Im only going to be f2p and just want something getting new content every once in a while that is purely a fun experience without needing sweat. Ive never needed to car about endgame stuff in other games, im not that committed
>>
>>1929766
>>1929773
I enjoy the gameplay. Endgame content isn't of interest to me either.
The main content isn't very difficult, so I intentionally try to keep my units from being very powerful.
Definitely worth trying.
>>
>>1929766
The gameplay is alright but I don't think it's good enough to make you want to stick around. I think most people would stick around for the aesthetics, characters or story.

Thanks anons, Ill give it a shot then, it cant be any worse than what ive played previously

Its very mediocre, you end up playing the same cards in the same order in all battles and main content (history and events) is too easy, there is not even a need to work around boss mechanics.

I am only here because I don't want turbo coomer stuff too and is 99% of the other games.

I'm going to start posting things I've seen from the general for future reference.
>In 3.4 you get an item that applies either 50% discount for the suitcase background and/or the UI, or for the RJ garment selector. This can lead to the user missing out on a discount if not using it in the right order:
>BG + UI = 3300 Crystal Drops, 1650 with discount
>BG alone = 1980 CD, 990 with discount
>UI alone = 1900 CD, 950 with discount
>RJ selector = 1360 Glowing Strands, 680 with discount
So not buying the background and UI together will deny you a discount on buying either on its own later. It's worth considering to use this discount on the RJ selector instead since glowing strands cots money.

Something is going with the 3.5 Teaser event. Posting this here for when global gets this event:

Carvings on the Sun Stone - Day 1: That Which the Beast Destroyed
>"Tezcatlipoca"
>Location: A museum in Mexico City
>Exhibition Hall: Main Hall of the Smoking Mirror
>The god Tezcatlipoca, also known as the "Smoking Mirror," represents the first sun yet symbolizes "impermanence." According to folklore, he is a tempter who uses his captivating appearance and enchanting illusions to seduce, test, or destroy his people. His methods include, but are not limited to, toying with the rulers of kingdoms, thereby leading entire dynasties to their downfall. Under the "light" of this capricious sun god, the world descended into chaos and was ultimately devoured by the jaguar into which he transformed. This relief sculpture replicates the wall decorations found in an authentic archaeological site. It is worth noting that the statue's right foot is made of obsidian—not a reproduction error, but a reference to the myth in which Tezcatlipoca, in his jaguar form, lost his foot during a battle with his brother, Quetzalcoatl, the "Feathered Serpent."

Carvings on the Sun Stone - Day 2: That Which the Storm Destroyed
>Does your history begin with myth, or with agriculture?
>You witnessed the rise of the second sun, but then came the wind. A storm that devoured the sun, scattering Quetzalcoatl and his people to the winds.
>The wind ceased. And so you transformed yourself from a prisoner of the wind into a "prisoner" of the crops.
>Yes, the storm destroyed a blazing sun, yet it anchored you to this fiery land. Plants became not only your sustenance, but the foundation of your calendar, and the metaphor for your society. You and your kin lived for them, and died for them.
>Your mind learned to weave, to smelt, to write. Your body labored in the fields, fought in wars, forged innovations. And your soul sowed a civilization both magnificent and burdened.

Carvings on the Sun Stone - Day 3: That Which the Rain of Fire Destroyed
>"It's a pleasure to have you here for this important academic exchange. How should I address you, esteemed...?"
>"What makes you say that? You are not my people! I am simply I—the god of rain and life—"
>"Very well, 'I.' A rain of fire destroyed the world you once nourished. Does this mean your tenure as ruler of this era was a significant failure?"
>"The rain of fire did indeed consume human flesh, along with the water-borne seeds. But this was merely the breaking of balance."
>"So you accept destruction as a means to restore cyclical equilibrium?"
>"Perhaps."
>"An intriguing perspective. Then what advice would you give to humanity, reborn as they emerge transformed into butterflies?"
>"I would advise them to become beings capable of holding water, whether tears, blood, or molten iron, and to once again embrace the cycle."

Carvings on the Sun Stone - Day 4: That Which the Flood Destroyed
>"Era of the Four Waters · Ātemoztli · The Day After 'Blood Tears'
>I may be the last recorder of this world.
>She, the goddess of lakes and rivers, adorned in a jade skirt and shawl—her tears of yesterday have become the torrents of this moment. Temples, cornfields, stone houses—in an instant, all were swallowed by the sea that surged into the valley.
>Fortunately, the goddess spared me a canoe. Wave after wave of the flood tried to consume this small vessel, but failed.
>Night fell. Beneath the moonlight, the water's surface shimmered with scales. I looked closer and realized they were people... no, fish. Their skin glistened with scales, their hands had flattened into pectoral fins, their feet fused together into caudal fins. The people had become fish. The fish leaped from the rivers and lakes, paying homage to me, the living.
>I waved back in response. The fourth sun destroyed the world, yet in the end, She showed me mercy. Revere this. Revere this sorrow."

Carvings on the Sun Stone - Day 5: That Which the Earthquake Will Destroy
>I saw you standing on a path paved with marigolds. Through the stained glass above, the lights of ten thousand homes glimmered. Children clutching sugar skulls brushed past you. In your hand, you held a brush, applying the glaze of Tonatiuh to your beloved ten-stringed instrument.
>You and I live beneath the fifth sun. The world's "movement" still tears open old fissures, creates new faults. The earthquakes will not cease—but will the world end by them? Unpredictable. In truth, it exists in perpetual chaos: construction and deconstruction, aggregation and fragmentation.
>Perhaps your mission is simply to continue walking this path toward destruction, and to pray that the glaze never dries. For the world is still growing, and we must leave behind more unfinished works still dripping with ink, so that we may continue to create the joy of life for this world.

A strange thing is that these images have Egyptian elements to it, which is odd to say the least. Day 1 has an image of Tezcatlipoca came from Codex Borgia, a 39-sheet minuscript from the XVI century mostly about the "Tonalpohualli", an aztec calendar.

Each day has "That which (?) destroyed". Does that imply The Storm and The Flood aren't the only type of temporal cataclysms arcanists have enacted?

Did ancient arcanists try to reverse time before? Or is it a phenomenon than can happen completely on its own without any intervention? Were worldwide deities real and just powerful arcanists that lorded over the masses?

The picture is based on Chalchiuitlicue, goddess of water and childbirth, from this page from the Tovar Codex, about rites and ceremonies of the time. She features the hat of Nefertari, the primary wife of Ramesses II, who was renowned at that time for being able to both read and write in hieroglyphs, which was rare back then even for men.
>The fourth sun destroyed the world, yet in the end, She showed me mercy. Revere this. Revere this sorrow.
>Day 4: That Which the Flood Destroyed
Did she use The Flood? Maybe ancient arcanist could survive arcane cataclysms, and modern ones lost the trait over time due to lack of exposure to them
>I may be the last recorder of this world.
Who was the narrator? And is this related to the "Blank Era" and maybe to The Three Doors? Something VERY strange is up with this teaser event.

Finally, Tōnatiuh (Huītzilōpōchtli), the final sun and brutal and temperamental war and solar deity. He also has wings added, which I believe could only really be a reference to Horus, also a sun deity and god of death and rebirth, but more importantly as "the victorious" among the Egyptian gods.
>For the world is still growing, and we must leave behind more unfinished works still dripping with ink, so that we may continue to create the joy of life for this world.
It seems the message is ultimately hopeful, but final sun is the last one. There's nothing after, or so this mythology dictates.

Time to put on your tinfoil hats and listen to this while you read:
https://files.catbox.moe/ivmrtq.mp3

The "Five Suns" are the creation myth of Aztec and other Mesoamericans that believe that our world is created and destroyed 5 times in 5 cosmic eras, each ruled by 5 different "Sun Gods", each of which started their rule with creation and ended it with destruction. The first two eras lasted for 676 years, while the 3rd lasted 364 years, no word on the 4th... but something happened: Chalchiuhtlicue (4th Sun) decided to leave Earth by making a bridge between it and Heaven, allowing those she liked to come hang out. So unlike with the four previous eras, the 5th one didn't transpire when due because Tōnatiuh didn't like this, and he refused to start it until a lot of gods had sacrificed themselves. This could suggest that before the new and last cycle began, most arcanists had to be wiped out to force the new era to begin.

We're supposed to still be in the 5th and final one, which started somewhere between 100 BC to 500 AD, but mostly likely in the year 535 (~1480 years ago in-game, based on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcanic_winter_of_536), and which will end in a great earthquake that will break the world apart if the constant tribute of sacrificed gods and humans alike were to cease.

This brings me to my final and ominous thought: What if Manus Vindictae isn't really about "RETVRN" but "We need to keep killing humans and arcanists or the world literally ends"?, or even worse - that there are simply not enough arcanist left to sacrifice long-term for the world not to end, which means we need to go back to antiquity so the number of arcanists is high enough to sustain consistent sacrifices?

What in the five suns did Zhou mean by all of this?

The character of Reverse are stuck in a reality where gnosticism is real

Because gnosticism is real, there's an higher plane of reality and fate is controlled by seven entities called Archons, each Archons is tied to a planet and everytime the game has some non sense about the planets, it's actually a clue about the archons, the archons also have a symbol in the form of a pyramid with an eye on it, these include

- Ms. Radio backstory includes a line about her not being loyal to any planet, her nub is also the Archon symbols, Ms.Radio role in the plot was also to accidentally be found by Vertin
- the intro where there are 2 moons in it
- Regulus discovering Ceres
- Salvation, the painting actually represent an eclipse
- the eclipse in patch 2.4
- Salvation the song also has a line that goes "before the fall, no sky, no sun"
- when Kiperina goes to space, the planets turns into eyes, oddly enough the sun turns into an empty space

Because of the last 2, I believe the Archon of sun either
1) Got Stormed
2) Is a Traitor
3) was betrayed by one of the other archons

The Storm is generated through chaos energy, chaos energy seems to accumulate when fate actually starts getting changed too much, Arcana knows this and the entire point of Manus Vindictae is simply to fuck up fate until they get to a reality where Arcanist never became a minority

This event is either the fall of Constantinople or extremely further in the past

The Apeironite decided to get stormed because their religion venerated order and harmony, they venerated the storm as part of it but in reality the storm is an anti-fate weapon which destroyed the harmony they venerated, they basically realized they venerated Satan all along, I believe that 6 and Sophia are actually aware of this and that Sophia simply decided that joining Manus was the best way to fight fate
>>
>>1968686
I want to clarify, when I say "extremely further in the past" I mean in what the game calls "the blank era" which I don't think has a real world equivalent

Arcanist are either gnostic or christians, the stronger they are as Arcanist, the closer they are to perceive the higher plane of reality,

Chapter 9 is actually a mini version of the big plot of the game, Aleph behaving like an archon manages the prison in a shitty manner so Recoleta representing the Storm destroy the prison

The storm has been created by someone at the foundation so he could escape his own fate or a fate where some sort of apocalypse (like WW3) happens

I believe this person is also seeking how to become immortal and that if he manages to do that, it will absolutely fuck up fate
>>
Merel is just Regulus but different. I hope to have a different impression by the end of this chapter.
