Not super useful. The gear meta focus right now is that all the new monsters will have a point boost during riftcharged monster raids, so thats the main gear grind after you’ve already made a set of G10.5 elements

Usually every new armor set will introduce either a new armor skill that will enable a new strong playstyle (like Advanced Burst on viper tobi armor that enables some stronger raw focused DB builds, and Advanced Water Attack enabling better water sets), or minor optimisations for your existing sets because you one armor piece will provide one more drift slot or extra armor skill point

how are you guys feeling about the weapon styles?

I put rage slash on my GS but it kind of just feels like a downgrade. the extra long tackle serves no purpose as far as I can tell and it really throws off the attack > tackle > attack timing. I can't imagine that surge slash is any better though.

similarly the sword boost style feels pretty underwhelming. I'm hesitant to unlock anything for dual blades but I would very much like to unlock the swaxe counter.

I have a blunt force 5 set using beotodus body and legs, and lunagaron arms. Increases charge attack damage by 70%

Complimented by rajang waist for focus 3 and kirin head for lock on and fighting spirit

Fully rift upgraded diablos hammer with meteor hammer style, 2 full charges kills 8* tzitzi or kulu and if you time them well, their attacks cant hit you in the air

I think you can theoretically haul more ass with brute tiggy head + waist but then you do lose out on lock on and would have to grind out 3 attack boost drift smelts and that would take forever so eh

It is, the game IS hard but its learnable

Some tips
>the roll is very liberal with how many iframes it has
>monsters tend to follow a super predictable pattern of attacks, if you have good pattern recognition skills you will generally know what the next attack will be

I got the 2000 kills medals for almost every weapon and i will say hammer is probably the hardest to pull off because all combos and high damage moves have insane animation commitment. I suggest sns or insect glaive as your first dodge weapon to get accustomed to the game better, or lance or gunlance for a blocking weapon

It is especially overwhelming with how many monsters you have to learn. We had it easy in the beginning with only 15

Offensive guard and regular guard are core skills for lance. Anything else i would just minmax damage

Since you have a status you can also do sidehop into jumping thrust spam so you could minmax blast. 3 piece teo is pretty good for that.

What's the best raw longsword to build for a f2poor?

Sergio ls looks cool and very strong but im never getting those r6 plates, i struggle to kill 7 stars.
From the looks of it magnamalo or banbaro ones look very strong.
Im saving my driftgem currency to buy reflection (easier parries + dmg on parry) but i'm not quite sure.

Yeah, the battle pass weapons and armor are great, with little to no investment I've been clearing 8stars monsters with ease, the auto dodge skill has saved me so many potions too, I wonder if they are going to nerf it. But I hate the most is that elder dragons weapons and armor are the best, no other weapon can compete, why even bother crafting other stuff, and yeah the droprate is ass, 300 machetes and I'm still missing a lot of velkhana horns

A 9 star Zinogre is easy to kill, whereas a 9 star Stygian Zinogre is hard to kill because he's really powerful and he's really fast.
