It's a fantastic game if you already have the shit from the gacha, but if you're considering starting it now it's basically not worth bothering. the game is built heavily around gacha powercreep and it feels bad to be throwing single items out when opponents get triple items with a chance of a jackpot spam.

I have been playing this game daily in bed while half asleep in the morning for many years, so I'll miss it, but it takes a long time to get to a place where you actually have enough of the gacha pulls to stop being forced to suck.

I'm going to miss didyougetanon more than the game.
I hope Nintendo does something more with the general control scheme in the future but I really doubt it

this game was special to me for years. it was even part of my gaming connection to family members. I don't have the time to play like I used to, but I still have to get soaring jack and at least I'll have a short chance to do so right before the end.

It was fun while it lasted. this game became part of my daily routine since the pandemic started in early 2020, around the time they started adding the special pipes, crazy, fun times; grinding every single track for its exp and making my own trackers for coverage, getting my top 1000 badges and my occasional top 100. wish I had the time to at least try going for a top 10 badge earlier in the loops just for completionist sake, but now there's really not a point anymore

Spending my level tickets before EOS:
1. Drivers: Pink Mii gives ranked coverage in the Vacation Tour for Peach Circuit R/T. Gold Luigi Knight and Gold Koopa Freerunning join my final list of Lv8 coinboxers (>>2075235) and will have some limited ACR usage.
2. Karts: These are just some pretty karts that I always liked and already had at Lv6. Carrot Kart and Cact-X have unlocked tracks this tour. Holiday Speeder is useful for the Sundae Tour along with some upcoming city tracks.
3. Gliders: These were gliders that I used a lot as a new player up to Lv6 and got passed by newer gliders. Star-Spangled Gilder unlocks Kalimari 2R this tour. Daisy Glider is useful mainly for the Sundae Tour.
I still have enough level tickets to take any Lv1 item to Lv8 for any remaining ACR track gaps. I'm saving cap tickets for a few items that still need to be quad capped for ranked.

Spending advice:
Purchase new and level up Miis with rubies in the Mii Shop for the best deal.
For non-Mii drivers, karts, and gliders: buying level tickets in Daily Selects is still the best deal.

I feel bad for the people who will win ranked on the 2nd week of the Anniversary Tour and reach Tier 80 and get the Gold Mii suit with less than an hour to enjoy it before EOS.

EOS spending: I am playing a LOT of Coin Rush to convert rubies to coins to buy cap and level tickets.
There are only 18 items (13 gliders / 5 karts) that I don't have, of which only 6 (2 gliders / 4 karts) are available before EOS (Reference: pic). So 6 * 70 = 420 rubies. Even if I level up a Mii, I can only buy it 3 times from the shop (3 * 70 = 210). So it makes no sense to keep more than 1000 rubies anymore, especially if the game keeps being generous.
My last 6 items to buy: Fast Frank (Sunshine, Summer, Anniv.), Paintster (Vacation, Summer), Cheep Snorkel (Vacation), Frosty Bells (Sundae), Piranha Plant Hanafuda (Summer), Soaring Jack (Anniv.). I only missed the Goo Goo Pink to possibly have all the karts. For all the gliders, I missed the Jolly Bells and 10 Hanafudas (includes the 6 permanently unavailable).

Account status: Big ticket dump today (more to follow). The only remaining high end tickets are caps being saved for Rosalina Tanooki and the Gold Umbrella. The driver tickets will make all of my Rosas Lv8/4c, and the glider tickets will give 8/4 coverage on 2 ACR tracks.

TLDR: I dumped a lot of tickets.
1. Project Rosalina will be completed with the W2 ranked rewards to give a 4cap to Rosa Tanooki, if I don't get them (need 3) in the Daily Selects or Daily Challenge. Volendam, Aurora, and Cat already got their 4caps because they have top shelf tracks this tour.
2. The Gold Umbrella got a 3cap and will get a 4cap after tomorrows daily reward. Top shelf glider for London 3R and LA 2T, and gives a coin glider option to lots of other ACR tracks. I also quad capped the Candlelight Flight (now Lv8/4c; not shown) for London 3T.
3. I got the rare Soaring Jack glider today! So I ended up getting all 6 of the missing items available for my collection after EOS was announced. (>>2107793) No need to save rubies now, and no regrets.
4. I will end the game with 898 badges. I guess maybe the only regret is not starting 1 tour sooner to reach 900.
5. Moo Moo Mii (Lv6/0c -> Lv8/0c): The best top shelf Mii available on the last track in the game (Rome 3R/T).
6. Pauline (Lv7.3/1c -> Lv8/1c): Just a level ticket / ruby dump. Only my second Lv8 Lucky 7 driver; the other is King Boo Mii.
7. Captain Toad (Lv7.6/1c -> Lv8/1c): Spending 2 extra tickets. Never spent anything on him before now; gold pipe resident nuisance but Toad Astronaut helped me a lot so why not.
8. Lakitu Party Time (Lv5.2 -> Lv6): 1 more extra ticket! Fun way to play on NY battle track.
9. Rose Taxi (Lv 7.4 -> Lv8): Extra tickets for another frequent gold pipe pull. Lots of tracks this tour.
10. Gold Sweet Ride (1 cap); Leftover cap ticket for a kart I wish I had invested in. I spent the rest of my kart caps on Cact-R (Lv8/4c; not shown) for Singapore 3T ACR coverage.
11. Gold Bullet Blaster (Lv6/1c-> Lv8/1c): The gold and silver bullet karts have the coolest graphic effects of any kart in the game with reflections of the surrounding landscape (more to follow).

So many nice memories with this game and the community, genuinely one of the most dedicated communities I've ever been a part of.

I used a lot of the rarely used karts and gliders, and had a lot of them at Lv8 (pic). Blue Sub Scooter, Desert Tiny Titan, and Dry Bones were great karts, and Glittering Glider had a ton of useful coverage.

yep, first place on both accounts, acct 1 in particular crushed it even with a sleeper attempting an ambush. I played both accts in just the final hour like I used to. without having to plan for anything in the future anymore, and with all the tickets and rubies being thrown at me for welcome back login bonus, eos login bonus, and free gold pass, I leveled everything I needed up and had very easy grinds. scored my highest overall score ever on acct 1 in one of the ranked courses in just a few tries with a maxed out kart and glider.

now I want to see what the game app will look like when we open it after maintenance ends.

Congratulations to your successful project!

Unfortunately I never managed to achieve my own personal goal of maxing out all the Daisy alts in the game. In the end, I was 35 tickets short. Such is life.

Since I first started playing MKT during Princess Season, Fairy Daisy was the very first High End Daisy I got. She was also the last Daisy I lifted to Lvl 8 before EoS. In a way it was nice to come full circle because the ranked cup of the very last week happened to feature her as a top shelf driver.

I stopped playing shortly after they announced no new content would come, but I kinda wish I had stuck with it to the end.

Koopavocelot being the triple faggot that he is, has decided to stop work on the offline version despite it being essentially complete. One last "fuck you" to the community I guess. Fuck you Koopa.

If the game had continued, it would be the Battle Tour. We would all be complaining about battle tracks in ranked. I would be debating whether to level up White Tanooki Mario or a random Mii for Donut Plains. And in the end it wouldn't really matter.
