It's been a couple months. The honeymoon period has worn off. We've had time to see both the good and bad of NtE.Certainly there are good points. The graphics are nice. The city has lots of detail. Combat is fine for a more casual experience. Characters tend to have personality. Some of the anomaly encounters can be downright spooky! Sometimes the writing can be really good. The gacha is on the generous side.But not all is good. PvP modes are not well balanced. Cars could handle better. The UI is difficult to go through on a controller. There are too many menus and systems and sub-menus with more systems. Sometimes the writing can be awful. The pacing of a story can be bad. Some anomalies and quests can be impossible to figure without a guide. Movement options locked to certain characters. The Bond system is inconsistent, with some characters having zero development. The grind is time consuming and tedious.Also in the not distant future there will be some serious competition. Ananta, Silver Palace, and Wang Yue are coming. Each shows a lot of promise, and are highly anticipated. And Hoyo revealed Varsapura, a horror themed game in development, though that is still some years out.SO... my prediction... NtE does some things well, some things not well. It certainly had a much better launch than Tower of Fantasy. But it has issues, some that need serious work to iron out, and some so deeply rooted I doubt they'll be addressed. In the end, I feel NtE will only be a moderate success.

I just want to give you all a clear picture of what that game is like, so you don't jump in and get disgusted later.First, if you're fine with no ML (Master Love) content, with lots of yuri fans and sisters (jimei) around, and you're only there for the all-female roster, then you can skip the rest of this.Regarding ML: from the test server, the "spiciest" content there is around the level of Zhezhi or Yinlin - and even then, the ML writing is worse than those two. Also, the main subreddit of that game completely bans any mention of ML and "pufferfish" (yuri fans) - but under character videos, you'll see plenty of jimei shipping.Second, that game's story is written from a female protagonist's perspective - which is the opposite of Wuthering Waves. Even if you don't ship the playable characters as CPs, there's still a lot of yuri shipping between the female protagonist and characters, often driven by male-hating "turtle" (cuck) fans. We all know how toxic that kind of "spiritual jimei" can be.I don't know what Kuro will do in the future, but if you care about the points I mentioned, you should be careful before joining that game.
