Hello /vmg/. First time poster here, really interested in some mobile games to play, but aren't interested in gacha or F2P games. Are there any good games where you just pay once upfront and get the full game?RPGs or turn-based games would be ideal, but open to anything you find interesting that fit the qualifications.I play on Android too if that helps, but Apple recs are welcome as well. Thanks :)
Not hating on gacha or F2P games btw, they're just not my thing personally
I prefer to go on Play Pass subscription, which lets me try different games and play them and all their DLCs without buying, and mostly buy games that aren't on the Pass. Some very occasional games like Iron Marines Invasion actually suck when purchased and are better to get via the Pass. Some paid games that I enjoyed one way or another include:Xenowerk TacticsA Dark RoomRiptide GP: RenegadeDungeon ClawlerSlice & DiceEpic Battle Fantasy 5 (only extra modes and dungeons are paid)Bad NorthKingdom Two Crowns80 DaysForetalesAnd also a good number of assorted puzzle games
>>2117088ex astris and animal crossing pocket campthe rest is mostly dogshit slop or portsmobile game industry is really shit thanks to all the f2p gachasloppai highly recommend checking out ex astris and even supporting it because it's literally the only high quality mobile game in the entire market that doesn't have daily login fomo gachashit attached to itwe need to make that game successful if we want more high quality games like that for mobile
minireview.io site makes it easier to find good games than the store app. You can filter by tags like 'turn-based', 'role playing', and 'paid' to find shit relevant to your interests easier.
>>2117088Hello, not a mobile gamer, just checking the board out for the first time. While I dont play phone games, my probably all time favorite pc game slay the spire has a full port to mobile too (probably cant get mods working on there)No microtransactions or anything shady, just peak roguelike experienceI checked its 9,99€ on the app store
I discovered "The Dungeon Within" during my vacation. It's like 5 bucks. What you get is a fairly well done "dungeon defense" game with pretty deep RPG mechanics. It's structured as a roguelite, where you pick your main lord, get 3 random monster a random trap and then try to survie increasingly challenging assaults on your dungeon, with a classic pick-your-path and pick-your-rewards structure. The combat is faily deep and loosly based on the DnD stat system with dice rolls. Progression is extensive as various traps and monsters scale with certain stats of your dark lord which you can upgrade, multiples of monsters/traps can be used to improve them and you can also fuse monster for higher level monster and fuse certain combination of traps for unique traps etc.The pixelart is good, but fairly sexualized. The dev has also made two other games, which are fairly well recieved, but serve more like predecessors to this game.
