this game has vast potential, but the way it is monetized and plays truly baffles me
gatekeeping racers in a kart racing game and pvp events out the ass to force you into spending
didn't anyone tell them to monetize cosmetics for the racers and their karts?
and this is disney we're talking about
this brand literally has dozens of marketable characters, so it's a shame to see how the game itself is handled
>>
It's doomed by the end of the year

It had a good thing going, but then started shaving off features and obligations one at a time

IIRC the cosmetics monetization wasn't working out for them

Shame since the roster's probably the best one we'll ever see for a Disney game, in 3D and with voice acting

the sad thing is, they could just admit their monetization and gameplay loop sucks and they will fix it, but they won't
it's easy to fix the game so that it's fun and becomes a great addition to the kart racing genre, but it's gonna be forgotten slop due to greed
all the high quality racers, fun race tracks, soundtracks, and visuals wasted because of greed

>and this is disney we're talking about
You mean the company that released an Animal Crossing rip-off as a f2p to justify an in-game shop then slapped a $40 price tag on it whilst keeping the microtransactions? Is that the company you're referring to?

i wasn't talking about their games, i was talking about their characters
they have so many marketable characters, so it shouldn't be a problem to make cosmetics for them, people would pay for those cosmetics
instead, the game is purely pay to win
