For me, the thing that killed it was the lack of freedom of the game. Feels like you're in such a tiny sandbox. I think gatcha GTA can work but you need balls to give the player freedom and they clearly didn't.The coolest part of the game was the design of environments and bosses. There were some really inspiring imagery and bosses. GTA SCP hunters is a fun idea too. But again, it was too restricted.The actual story and characters however are unbelievably bland and just nothing. Really soulless cast. I'm trying my hardest right now and I literally can't remember a single character by name or wjat they looked like, and I still played the game for like a week.

I played during 1.0 and what turned me off from it was how tedious all the recurring systems were (the weekly stamina, cafes etc are cool exactly 1 time and after that just become a huge time sink), how uninteresting the story and characters were (no I don't fucking want to watch the fucking mascot try to stick his plushy dick into another plushie for 2 hours, this shit is cringe as fuck without at least some kind of hook to keep me interested in the overarching world), and how the combat was just WuWa but worse because you have to character switch in the right order to trigger the elemental reactions.The GTA world was also sterile as fuck and the blatant fanservice bits were just too on the nose. It doesn't help that the monopoly interface for the gacha just serves to make gacha rolling even more tedious and is only really liked by gambling addicts.Tragic, because the anomalies were cool as fuck. I think Blue Archive is the best gacha game in the industry. They're the only gacha game that dares to pander to the male desire of young little girls and actually provide tons of them, they're all handcrafted with care and all of them have deep connections with the player character.The story is also very enjoyable and filled with hope in a gacha landscape where everything is tragedy and has a beautiful soundtrack by a true master of his craft.
