What is Pokémon Sleep?
Pokémon Sleep is a sleep tracking app that utilizes your smartphone and/or the Pokémon Go Plus + device to record data as you sleep. In doing so, you'll be able to meet a variety of Pokémon and fill out your Sleep Style Dex.

Be sure to post your Research ID so that you can add and share candy with fellow Anons. We are currently locked at 50 friends.

FAQ:
>How do Shinies work?
If you encounter a shiny Pokémon, a single Poké Biscuit will auto-befriend it.
>What should I spend my diamonds on?
Expanding your ingredient pockets, item pockets and Pokémon box. Long term you’ll want to max out ingredient pockets, everything else is up to what's convenient for you.
>When should I use my items?
When you have a good grasp of the game mechanics. You may want to save up Recovery Incenses for event missions.
>What should I spend my sleep points on?
Poké Biscuits first or if you’re a premium user: Main and Subskill seeds and Great Biscuits.
>Can I play this game if there's a lot of noise where I sleep?
The game tracks sleep based on motion only; sound has no impact.
>A Pokémon I fed got full! Will I have to start from scratch the next time I find one?
Nope! Pokémon retain any progress from when you last saw them.
>How do dream clusters work?
The higher your research rank, the more shards you get. You may want to hold onto them as long as possible.

I ended up saccing a lot of gather time to get enough ingredients for Sunday. I'm not going to hit any significant tier, but I hope it pays off at least somewhat. I finally have enough ingredients to make 2 of the new salads, but saving enough Mushrooms was a bit tough because somehow Ninja Leek salad tends to be my go-to.

None, Eevee is so abundant and common that anything that isn't close to near perfection isn't worth consideration. I'd want at least something better than double inventory or at least a big payoff at 75 with these stats

Well, my overdue shiny showed up... And straight it goes into the box.
Now I realize I didn't get any other Cleffa/Clefairy these Good Sleep nights.
>>
>>59241507
Unfortunately you still need to roll slumbering or snoozing sleep to encounter the Clefairy family (all babies are slumbering).
Although events that give varied sleep style encounters help if they overlap with Good Sleep days, there's also that debut Pokémon events tend to overwhelm encounters with the new Pokémon.

That said the boosted chances of new sleep styles, helped me to get the 4 star sleep for both Sandshrew and Sandslash, so I got all 8 of their combined sleep styles now.
I noticed my Amber Canyon hit 90% sleep styles discovered, I'm surprised I'm that far along with only a 55% area bonus.
>>
>>59241553
It's a bit ironic that sleep styles are sort of a progression point, but if you're advanced enough, then you immediately get all the new styles when a Pokemon is introduced. Except for maybe single-stage Pokemon that just don't show up.
>>
>>59242503
Two stagers tend to be the easiest to fully research, it's the single stagers and the third stage Pokémon that are hander to research since they stuff the high value sleep styles at the highest ranks.
They're also considerably harder to research on Greengrass Expert due to highly inflated ranks, with the trade off being you get waaay more resources for powering up Pokémon, and an optimised encounter pool with fewer undesirable commons.
>>
File: ShrewWeek.jpg (397 KB, 2160x2400)

Didn't wind up with many shrews. Not that they were top priority over Bagons or Larvitars if they showed. Haven't really seen many Larvitars on Amber though. Just a little regret on passing so many Larvitars early in the game on Taupe, since ingredients weren't as useful back then. And BFS wasn't quite the hot shit it is now that levels have unlocked.
>>
Sitting on Amber again just to build up area bonus for the next event since Tyrunt and the berry event already starts next week.

Berry week overlaps with New Moon, which could give you a pretty decent payout by encountering Mew/Darkrai in conjunction with the gains from the extra berries. They may not have adjusted the extra berry to affect sneaky snacking though, so +1 berry is really only active for 2/3 of the day. And judging from the previous event, the extra berry really might not provide that much power overall anyways.

A surprising number of islands allow you to field full Berry/Berry Burst teams now. You could also roll 2.4x berries on Expert, but good luck with that.
Cyan (4): Dodrio, Braviary, Feraligatr, Clefable
Taupe (6): Typhlosion, Ninetales, Swampert, Onix, Marowak, Tyrantum*
Snowdrop (6): Walrein, A.Ninetales, Raticate, Vigoroth, Weavile, Darkrai
Lapis (7): Meganium, Sceptile, Musharna, Xatu, Mew, Blaziken, Primape
Old Gold (4): Raichu, Steelix, Banette, Mimikyu
Amber (4): Butterfree, Arbok, Altaria, Salamence
>>
>>59243901
You could always try a few weeks (I usually do event weeks) at GG because they still give Larvitar incense as a M3 reward there.
>>
>>59244460
My Amber Canyon team is primarily skill focused on cooking thanks to Heracross, with Salamence being the only berry farmer pitching in occasional cooking pot power ups.
I do have a good Butterfree, but it is probably in my best interest to go to Taupe Hollow instead where my Entei team can go ham with Typhlosion and Ninetales gathering loads of 4x berry helpings.
>>
i unlocked amber last week and went there so my area bonus will be lmao5%. do i go there again next week or taupe? taupe is at 72%. both teams are shit but if i roll deserts on amber it's not too bad
>>
>>59244896
Next week is berry focused so if you at least have a decent Typhlosion or Ninetales, so there.

I was checking my map PBs earlier, and it turns out my M20 at TH and M14 at AC were both 4.4m, go figure.
Last week's M14 was thanks to the cooking bonuses though, so I don't stand to reach that again anytime soon whilst my TH team will go nuts with berry strength.
>>
On a side note, Mew with Berry Burst would be able to get both berry benefits. I doubt it would really be THAT effective though.

>>59244896
It would be better to be on Taupe in that case. Otherwise, you're going to get stuck with fewer spawns for longer on Amber.

Since Latias needs max skill trigger to perform best, I'll keep looking. I'm planning on using my Latias incense on the new moon event since I'm pretty sure I have enough pips to guarantee a friendship with it.

When you tap on a Pumpkaboo during feeding time, the name shown also identifies what size it is.

If you’re full bonus on every island except for one and you go to a different island, does the full 5% get applied to that one island? I’m still only at 25% on amber canyon but I figured I’d be higher by now after I spent a month on other spots.
>>
>>59257835
Yes, assuming your current max bonus is 85%, and all but one island are at 85%, then spending a week at any of those islands will give a full 5% to the last island not at cap.

Your maximum bonus is decided by your sleep dex goal progress (as is your maximum cooking pot size).
If you have multiple islands below the area bonus cap, the 5% bonus will be divided up across the islands. I believe it favours the earlier islands to get higher portions, e.g. if you have four eligible islands, the earliest non-max island gets 2%, or if you have two that earliest island gets 3%.
That is unless those islands are only 1 or 2% away from cap, then the bonus sharing is more intelligent and only allocates as much as is needed.

Expert islands have a separate "expert bonus" that is excluded from overflows. The only the way to raise an expert island's bonus is to complete a week there, and there won't be overflow between future expert islands.

Also, if you're in a situation where the remaining area bonus to be raised between islands is less than 5%, that remainder will be lost when the remaining islands hit 85%.
>>
>>59257923
Yeah I’m at 85%, I probably just overestimated how high amber canyon would be by now, thanks anon

85% takes 17 weeks minimum to reach, assuming you're not in the new-player period where you get accelerated area bonus gains.

Amber Canyon's been available for 6 months now, so getting AC to 85% has been entirely possible, but plenty of events have encouraged going to previous islands.
Except Snowdrop. Fuck Snowdrop.

Guys, what can I do with those eevees? Is any of them a material for any evolution? mostly asking about the base BFS one
>>
>>59258559
Eevee and all of its evos are skill mons,They want skill triggers most of all, with speed ups being good and everything else being largely irrelevant. There is one eevelution that really likes BFS and thats jolteon, but it still wants speed, and is only useful with raikou.
So these sadly are useless. Also, for asking mon opinions, take your screenshots a little lower so people can see the nature like these >>59255948
>>59250422
>>
>>59258572
base BFS is Lonely, the other one is Brave. Well my entire team is garbo because i'm a newfag so I am wondering if I can invest in one even if it's suboptimal to get some better berries or something
>>
>>59258572
You can run BFS effectively with several Eeveelutions, but they're pretty much all just stop-gaps for types you're missing. Jolteon, Espeon, and Sylveon to some degree are all decent for berries; the latter two being "free" to evolve, just requiring sleep time. As tempting as it is, there is a much better variety for berry Pokemon now. If you can find a good skill-focused roll, the ones that use their skills are still really strong though: Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Espeon.
>>
I’m at 5 weeks of no Sunday crits please pray for me
>>
>>59259497
Gotta get yourself an extra tasty team.
I've had 10 out of 20 cooks go extra tasty this week, Sunday breakfast and lunch crit and I'm just waiting until bedtime to cook dinner.

It's mostly just Heracross being fucking baller, but I have Mew and Dedenne for tasty maxing on Sunday, and Cramorant sometimes pitches in some tasty chances when I run it for oil and potatoes.
>>
So for the event will my Sceptile and Braviary with max level berry burst do better on Amber Canyon than my regular favorite berry mons?
>>
>>59260215
Half of each Berry Burst is the user's own berry, so you're going to lose out on the favorite berry bonus with Sceptile or Braviary. Unless you're just lacking berry Pokemon entirely, then an equally leveled berry Pokemon should beat either of those.

Berry farmers get +1 berry per berry help. Berry Burst users get 1.4x berries on activation. And I didn't notice before, but berry specialists & Berry Burst users get 1.5x inventory as well. Because of that, it seems likely the +1 berry won't be applied to sneaky snacking.
>>
>>59260590
The announcement specifically says +1 berry "as it normally would." Sneaky snacking is not your pokemon finding berries as it normally would, since finding a berry normally requires inventory.

Every time this bonus has been applied in the past, the wording has stayed consistent, and the calcs show no increase to berry strength through sneaky snacking while the buff is active for the event.

Tyrunt and tyrantrum details are out

As I expected, onix still outclassed tyrantrum, but only slightly and only with the 2k hour sleep ribbon. So tyrantrum is definitely one to hunt for rock berry coverage
>>
File: tyrantum_comps.jpg (284 KB, 1267x710)
284 KB JPG
Simple comparisons. I mistook Cooking Power Up with Tasty Chance when initially trying to judge it, but Tyrantum is still capable of heavy berry duty. It mainly misses out by having a lower base power ingredient of Sausages vs anything higher, but it can get Apples, which aren't very common for Taupe.

>>59260841
Amusingly, it seems to have the same speed as other newly-introduced berry farmers.
>>

>>
>>59260841
>>59261511
I guess its not a surprise, Onix will continue to to be a nightmare to find at all, let alone a GOOD one, and you're reasonably likely to want to turn it into a steelix. Tyrantum seems so much easier to find, farm, and justify to use as a rock mon.
>>
>>59261511
It's one of those Eviolite scenarios like Chansey and Vigoroth, but it requires literal thousands of hours of sleep for a small advantage.

This also makes it easier for Onix to evolve into the Steel type berry farmer it deserves to be, which is still truly exclusive..

>>59258574
If you're new you can use that bfs one as a filler provided you don't spend any resources. Don't fret, I have caught 40 Eevees and only two have been good, with one being exceptional. At the end of the day it's about how much you want to wait for min maxing and unfortunately the eeveelutions are not the best at their roles and some like Jolteon, require specific set ups to work. All Eevees require main skill seeds and you're better off spending them elsewhere early on in the game.

Personally I would leave it as is. Use it to fill a gap in Tundra. Someday you might get a good Raikou and this guy will be able to work with him pretty well, not top tier but above average. Other than that the other option would be Umbreon, since the Umbreon skill is pretty crap to begin with and dark berries are one of the stronger in the game. Either way, no need to rush into a decision.

To what end though? Cresselia's event had the goal of dispelling Darkrai's darkness.

>>
I assume skills are more important than nature
>>
File: xe1n229s7hvc1[1].jpg (211 KB, 1244x2241)
211 KB JPG
>>59271526
It's nature and last two subskills are arguably detrimental, but it does the most crucial part of gathering lots of berries very fast.
It only really prove detrimental during events that increase berry gathering, since that bonus does not apply to sneaky snkacky.
Otherwise, there's a niche where berry specialists can be left in sneaky snacking and they can maintain a stockpile of ingredients to carry into Sunday.
You may not want to do that if their main skill is useful, which Cooking Power-Up S can be.

>>59271670
Natures are not less important than subskills, but subskills feature effects absent from natures, whilst natures exclusively can accelerate or slow EXP gains.
For ingredient and skill specialists, there's a three out of three scenario they want to achieve: Subskill M + Subskill S + Helpful Nature.
Natures have a very strong effect on skill triggers and ingredient gathering, stronger than helping speed or EXP gain effects. Energy Recovery natures are pretty insignificant and at best/worst influence a half-hour's worth of energy gains from Energy for Everyone S level 6. Energy recovery reducing natures only have an impact if you cannot hit 100 sleep score each night, and do not run an E4E healer.

As for main skills, depends on the Pokémon.
Berry or ingredient specialists with something like Charge Strength S or M largely don't care.
Charge Energy S on the other hand is great for them, but it's terrible on a skill specialist (Umbreon deserved better).

It's not required, but Noivern performs best with BFS because it's fast and has good berries. It benefits more from favorite berry rolls on Amber and Greengrass, but a full skill build might be able to catch up during weeks with skill boosts.

The thing about your Noibat is that even without the nature or BFS, it doesn't quite reach the critical mass that I'd be willing to invest seeds into it. Double skill trigger is good, but in order to consider it without a nature, I'd want access to HSM over HB. IMO Skill Pokemon that want their activations are better off having selfish skillsets than running Helping Bonus.
>>
>Event Period:
>• May. 25 (Mon) at 4:00 a.m. to Jun. 1 (Mon) at 3:59 a.m.

>Bonuses:
>• During sleep research, one Pokémon will for sure arrive hungry (once per day).
>• A few Pokémon of different sleep types will appear during sleep research regardless of your sleep type for that day.
>• Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear during sleep research.
>• The limited-time Mini Candy Boost function will be available.

By the way, another candy boost coming up.
And technically Greengrass actually has access to all boosted Pokemon during Drampa week, except Swablu, which isn't boosted at all.

I'm using so many biscuits this week, probably going to run out of single biscuits far quicker than I'd like, and so far with nothing to show for it

I've been getting a lot of random crits this week, so I've been able to catch almost 2 Pokemon per day. 4 Tyrunts so far, but haven't seen any Bagons yet. Nothing with keeping either, but I suppose that's normal. The only time I ever got anything out of an introductory week was for Blaziken, I think.

Tyrantum has the unusual recruitment requirement of 20 pips, but the normal evolution requirements aren't very difficult. Usually it gets boosted because of sleep time or an item requirement, but Tyrunt's only unusual restriction is time of day (12 hours).
>>
>>59277033
It has the same befriending and evolution requirements as Lucario, with the exception of needing 150 hours of sleep (as all babies do), so there's the basis.

He is ass obviously but this is a cool shiny
>>
>>59278558
All Pokemon should have shinies so distinct. Ever since they decided to take full control of the colors and changed existing ones, they should have went back for more than a few
>>
Did they add new night time music to power plant or have I just somehow never heard this?
>>
>>59279554
My volume is always at 1, so I rarely ever hear the music.
>>
>>59279554
New Moon event has new night time music.
It used to be the Canalave City theme because of the Cresselia-Darkrai connection, but when Mew was introduced they changed it to the mystery gift menu theme.

Speaking of which my community research notes today has been plenty of Mew but zero Darkrai.
Both are supposed to be available for this month's New Moon, but I'm curious if that's actually the case after last month exiling Darkrai to Snowdrop Tundra.
>>
>>59280685
I can't tell if they messed it up or something. This post says they put Darkrai and Mew back to all areas.

Also the second part about spawn bonuses is a little confusing. Does each Pokemon actually have its own "guaranteed" appearance countdown for New Moon or was it some kind of weird translation error?
>>
>>59281484
In my current research, I'm counting 9 Mew snapshots but only 1 Darkrai snapshot from Taupe Hollow.
So it's not banished to Snowdrop Tundra still, but seems to be heavily biased towards Mew since they're mutually exclusive special appearances.

From my snapshots, nearly everyone went to Greengrass, Taupe Hollow, or Amber Canyon this week. One player went to Cyan Beach for some reason.
>>
>>59281879
people who encounter darkrai are probably sending out other candy, like tyrunt, because darkrai is shit and no amount of availability buffs will make up for its trash skill and only being useful at snowdrop.

Reminder that during next week's dragon event, that you'll be getting a free Latias incense.
Since you can't hold more than 1 legendary incense at a time, you'll need to use your remaining Latias incense if you managed to save one from the recent event.

I'm using mine tonight for the new moon event, as I'll have a better chance of befriending one with the "less likely to get full" bonus.
I'm pretty sure my last Latias got full at 20/30 pips, so I should likely be able to befriend it with a premium bonus biscuit and two great biscuits.

I was at Taupe Hollow last week, so I wasn't able to use my Latias incense there. Went back to Amber Canyon this week.

You could also just use it during the Latios event, for an extra bit of Latios Down. Unless they're specific for an ongoing event (like an event biscuit), gifts that are delivered to your mail typically get a 3 month timer.

How important is it to get ingredient pokemon to 60?
>>
>>59289973
Extremely important. 60 is a huge breakpoint for ingredient pokemon, but especially any of your ABB ingredient pokemon. Having 66% chance to drop a particular ingredient is a lot more consistent than a 50% chance. Plus the higher quantity drops allow for much more consistent strong recipe cooking. With dishes getting larger and larger, the more ingredient pokemon you have that have unlocked their full ingredient gathering potential, the easier it'll be to cook the brand new stronger dishes
>>
>>59289973
I don't find it to be the biggest thing to rush towards, but it does increase that Pokemon's overall gathering power. Instead of a 50% chance at getting the lowest quantity whenever it actually picks up ingredients, that percentage dips down to 33%. And it's actually better for Berry Pokemon too. Aside from the increase in berry power. By filling up on ingredients faster, they go into sneaky snacking mode faster, which is generally stronger than using helps to pick up 1-3 ingredients.
>>
>>59290577
It's a selective advantage for berry specialists.
If their main skill actually matters, sneaky snacking can be disadvantageous.
If not, there's a use case where they can hoard ingredients until Sunday, by collecting only their berries whilst your ingredient bag is full.

Also for mono-ingredient specialists hitting level 60, which typically have quantities 2/5/7, the average ingredient quantity increases from 3.5 to 4.667.
I have mono ingredient specialists I'm keen to get to 60, like Blastoise (milk), Blissey (eggs), Aggron (sausages), and Dragonite (herbs), but it'll take time.

Update is slated for later today, so you might need to feed sooner than later.

Also looks like at the very least, Snowdrop spawns will finally be readjusted (in a future update).
>>
>>59292537
Snowdrop had so little going for it, that it needed balancing.
All of the desirable spawns were too weighted towards the later and earlier maps, somehow.

As a theoretical balancing mechanic, what if your befriending badges could play a factor in the encounter rate for a given Pokémon?
Like, once you hit Bronze or Silver for that Pokémon, separate to the gold subskill bonus you could opt for a focused or reduced encounter rate?
The idea being you can aim to narrow the pool to pursue actually interesting Pokémon.
>>
>>59292783
Snowdrop was always weird because it was the final island included in the base game, meaning it didn't get its own introduction event and lacked any Pokemon to chase there. It had Abomasnow and Slaking, but they suck and have basically always sucked. The skill update even pushed Slaking out of its skill niche to just be a worse and slower Ingredient Magnet option.

There have been a several Pokemon introduced since then that match the types, but you can also just find those on later islands that aren't inundated with "filler" Pokemon like Slowpoke, Belsprout, Geodude, and Cubone. Even Cetitan ended up overlapping Meowscarda for no reason, both picking up Potatoes and being favored types on the same island. I fear even with a spawn pool rework, the Pokemon that are actually exclusive there still won't be with going out of your way for.

>RP 5194 -> 5528 (+334)
>Frequency 42m8s -> 39m58 (-130s)
In my top 16, she rose from 14th to 11th place, overtaking my shiny Shuckle (RP 5269), but not my Gardevor (RP 5816) or Pawmot (RP 6745), which both have BFS.

Wiggly's base ingredient rate has reportedly increased from 17.4% to 19.1%, which might have a small impact on its overnight performance, but the helping speed boost helps it a lot.

>>
>>59297108
Hardly guaranteed, but it seems likely given our current set of Dragons. 100% won't be a berry type, but there's still space for more skill and ingredient specialists. We just got Noivern, and Dragonite has been the only ingredient specialist for quite some time. I'm just wondering what Drampa's skill will be, regardless of its specialization.

If it's actually that reliable I'd consider it, you can still run it in conjunction with a dedicated tasty chance specialist if you get one eventually.
It's good for Sunday and trying to maximise tasty chances, works well when you've managed to ready a full ingredient stock for top Sunday dishes.

Heracross with Bulk Up has made a huge change to my Amber Canyon weeks, a lot of my weekly strength there comes from extra tasty cooking now.

Single-stage ingredient Pokemon may be a little unexciting, but they're typically pretty strong for what they pick up.

Plusle is actually a secret Coffee fiend, but it requires Plus/Minus to be active. Minun does work well with it, though, allowing you to use extra pot space. And both work well with BFS.
Togedemaru's skill I doubt will trigger on anything very often. 7 helps to fish for skill activations isn't very much for non-skill types; even for skill types there's a good chance you'll go without.
Murkrow/Honchkrow doesn't quite put out an ingredient quantity to be anything but niche. A perfect one can average 120 total (about as much as a good ingredient Pokemon), but that's reliant on chance and split between 4 different ingredients.
Ditto's skill can be strong, but its gathering capabilities are lacking. And it doesn't activate enough to invest skill seeds into it in the first place.
Comfey is pretty middling in its ingredient gathering power and isn't quite fast enough to break away with BFS.
Sableye has been a disaster from the outset. In fact, it even loses to Swalot in activations and just plain gathering speed. It'll need a speed boost, inventory increase, and a new skill. If we're being lazy, just a variable Dream Shard that can crit would be enough.

If Drampa ends up being an ingredient Pokemon, it could be a slow fuck that starts with Avocados or Pumpkins.

>>59301692
Yeah, more than one of each kind of legendary incense.
So, you can't receive a second Latias incense if you're already holding one. It has to be consumed after sleep research too, wouldn't count to set up the incense and then try to claim the gift.

Both Latios and Latias will actually show up during Latios' event, it's just that most people were already holding into a Latias incense from the previous event. Most people tend tof or the legendary events, just so you can encounter it again at a future date for some boosted rewards; usually during Dream Shard events.

Drampa details are out, basedbean ingredient farmer, with avocado and sausage in the 2nd and 3rd slots.

Potentially an alternative to trapinch?
>>
>>59305102
It's way behind Flygon as an avocado farmer, since ingredient counts are scaled on the strength of the first ingredient.
Drampa only gathers 3 and 4 avocados on B and C.

As a bean farmer, it's fourth place behind Tyranitar, Golem, and Quaquaval.
The only niche going for it is it has Tasty Chance S with Dragon berries, otherwise it's a 16-pip single stager that's going to be a far less accessible bean farmer.

Also sausages on C is insulting, what the fuck were they thinking with Drampa?
>>
With dragon week on, and latias/latios encouraging dragon builds especially with BFS, does a good latias/ noivern and I guess Latios too need BFS in addition to speed/triggers, or is a skill focused build still strong enough without it to be worth considering?

Another comparison set.

Drampa's ingredient rate is really high, but that also means it doesn't benefit a whole lot with BFS. Its skill being Tasty Chance does play a role in its overall power, and if you want beans or avocados. It's still plenty good at that. Sausages are a huge waste though.

Decided to go to expert GG this week, so I can get some more Dratini encounters. I've not had any in ages, and my max-herb Dragonite is nearly at 60.
I candy boosted my BFS Salamence to 60 this morning too.

Rolled Grass / Normal / Ghost with berries effect and desserts, this is gonna be a nice easy expert GG week, though cooking will be a slight pain.
Since I didn't roll berries for E4E healers, I need to check if my HB skill max Wigglytuff is now a better pick than my other healers in this situation, they all lack HB.

>>59305760
See I think people might actually use that sleep diary, if the option were prominent during your sleep reviews.
But as it currently is, you have to dig into the sleep data for each day so you can fill in a 200 character text box (when it might be too late to jot down a dream), seems pointless and little more than a bullet point on their premium plan sales pitch.

>>59305835
Best general use case for any legendary incense is to save it for big events, and use it at the end of the week when you've got higher DP (or DP multipliers) so you can find the rarer, much more valuable sleep styles.

I actually used my Latias incense the other week, because I remembered it was at 20/30 pips and could guarantee its friendship on a New Moon. I got the Latias but it wasn't worth running. Maybe I'll find a better one during the Latios event.
>>
>>59305977
Quick check on Raenonx team builder, and it definitely looks like I should run Wiggly.
I was curious since it was just buffed, and my Wiggly now outperforms Gardevoir in this scenario; higher daily skill count and HB boosts the rest of the team nicely.
>>
Can't decide if I should cut my losses and take this Bagon or hope for something even better. Admittedly level 75+ isn't something to realistically worry about, but it does just make it worse as it unlocks skills toward 100. I suppose it'll be better to have a higher level Salamence for the event than a lower one that's slightly better at a stage that won't even be available for quite some time.
>>
>>59306937
The ingredient finder "penalty" really isn't as severe as not having BFS and/or helping speed bonuses.
That thing has near-max helping speed, I'd be happy with it.

The strong dragon type berry farmer you can run for the next few years, is more important than the small penalty it gets down the line, because you'll have better Drowsy Power gains and rewards more often.

I’ve got this support chu I like to have overnight but it’s between him and gardevoir, even though it’s expert mode with electric favored berries.
>>
>>59307992
Yeah, it's usually best to sleep with an e4e Pokemon, because waking up with extra energy pays off a LOT. Extending the time you can stay at max helping speed (80 energy+) has a sort of cascading effect, allowing the excess energy buffer to hold you over until the next activation. Dipping below the 80 energy threshold tends to diminish your chances of staying topped off for the rest of the day.
I honestly leave mine in 24/7, but you could probably swap it out so long as the rest of your team will comfortably stay over 80 energy for a long time. Just keep in mind you'll need time to swap your battery back in and for it to fish out another activation, which could be anywhere from 1-4 hours depending on your luck.
>>
>>59307023
Getting so much Ingredient Finder is actually pretty damn harsh for Salamence... going up to 40% ingredient finding cuts a lot of berries out of its pickups. Depending on the species, it can get pretty bad, but for others it's not as big a deal. But ultimately with 75 still over the horizon, the Bagon is more than safe enough for the time being.
>>
>>59308510
The point is that you still have something that performs far above the baseline BFS find, because of the high helping speed gains.
It'll be hard to find something better, and you can absolutely run it now to make progress sooner.

I already had this happen with a BFS Meganium, that was superceded by a BFS+HB+Double HS Meganium. The first one is occasional still run when I need grass types, but it's all about the unlikely better find now.
