probably the only pokemon that's consistently been in my top 10 throughout my entire life
>>59245132I think it's weird that this thing isn't from Unova. It looks so much like something from Unova.
>>59245140Why? Because it’s good right
>>59245152if they're a mid twenties fag, they might be thinking of Magnemite's popularity in BW2 for being the most traded pokemon on the GTS and being a common earlygame mon.If they're a young fag, they might just be typing shit
HEYTHIS IS THE GUY PUTTING MAGNEMITE IN EVERY GAMEGET HIM
>>59245132>Amazing in gen 1-3>Amazing in PlatiniumI love this little goober. Alongside Jolteon he's my go to electrical type.
>>59245132>great design>cool and cute>really strong defensively, tons of resists>really strong offensively, high SA and electric is great>has status moves and screens too, can really do it all>is good immediately, don't need to evolve it or anything>but still evolves into Magneton relatively quickly>which can further evolve into Magnezone pretty quickly too depending on the game>but if you can't then 'ton is still great on it's ownLove this lil' guy. Full marks. Only flaw is a lack of coverage, it's just electric stuff, flash cannon if it's around, and maybe signal beam. >>59246832>Madnemite
>>59246849Oh, and that it doesn't have levitate. I get it, it's for balance, that would be absurd, but...it very clearly does have levitate and I need to constantly remind myself that it actually doesn't.
>>59246873Closest it's gotten is Magnet Rise
I love Magnemite and Magneton, but Magnezone feels off to me for some reason. They're still cool and all, however I wish we could've had a side-evo where even more Magnemite join to form a whole cluster of them.
>>59245166Coil Coil
>>59246578amazing in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and BW2 as well
>>59248245it's because it introduces completely new themes, electrical welding and UFO, to the line and the middle ridge and middle unit make it look less Magnemite shaped.Sandy Shocks could have been a great branch evo
ze was the first nigga to believe in me
>>59247986Yeah, I know. But it's still weird. >>59248245>magnemite>three magnemites>ufo with magnemite-like features"For some reason" implies that the reasons aren't obvious.
Play BW2 would using Magnazone challenge.
>>59248936*without using
>>59248936Never played it, is it good there?
>>59249200Fucking amazing in it. You get Magnemite early and you get access to Magnezone by mid game.
>>59245132
>>59249367God I wish that was me.
>>59245132I used to think Magnemite was a boring nigga but the Magneton in XD (fuck you) was so good that it changed my life. One of my favorite Electric lines, I always have to stop myself from auto adding to my team because he's just too good >also fuck that nigga magnezone
>>59248399>welding ???
>>59248245Gen 4's cross-gen evos suck. They all miss the point of the original.
Do people still pretend to hate objectmons?
>>59249653Is the pope a cubs fan?
>>59249579her if it was you
>>59248936>>59249205BW2 Magnemite is stuck with thundershock until discharge at 51 or thunderbolt at victory road.
>>59245132Reminder that Iono is actually new evolution of Magneton (can someone translate this please?).
>tfw it and electebuzz are the only electric types I likeSuch a cool type with such mid designs.Volteon, vikavolt, and mareep are ok too I guess. Maybe I just don’t understand the allure of le Poketto Monsutā Denki…
>>59250139>Spark at level 21>Electro Ball after that>Charge Beam TM is early game>muh STAB muh minmax REEEEEEEE KysPlay the fucking game.
>>59248931More sad than weird, there's quite a few 'mons that look like they should be floating but don't get Levitate
My only problem with it is it always seems a little late into the game to pick up.It and Electabuzz are my fave electric types and both have this problem. Feels bad.
>>59250674Don't forget volt switch >>59250151A lot of electric types are just yellow animals that all play the same. >special glass cannon>mediocre physical attacker I still like a lot of them though.
>>59252539is it ever addressed why the power plant is abandoned by humans?
>>59249653I dislike most of them, but Magnemite is based
>>59245132Good taste. It’s my third favorite line.
>>59252601Zapdos killed everyone inside
>>59253312unironically good lore. Not out of character for gen 1 given Cinnabar Mansion and Mewtwo in the first movie
>>59253312Maybe not killed, but Zapdos roosting there made it troublesome for operations to continue. It does open back up after RBY, after all.
>>59248245>Biblically accurate angel shaped magneton cluster If only you knew how rad things could been...
>>59253491so it's implied that Red either caught or defeated Zapdos? Or if he didn't, Blue may have
>>59253543None of the legendaries are still around in GSC, so something happened to them.
>>59253543Or Zapdos found a cozier power plant to roost in somewhere else
>>59245132It's literally just a ball with magnets as hands and an eye. How does sugimori do itAlso def. having colors improved its appeal
>>59250674Spark sucks shit on Mags. Play the fucking game. Charge Beam is only debatably better than thundershock, and only barely even if it is. I don't think Magnemite's fast enough for Electro Ball to be good. >>59251466I did forget Volt Switch.
>>59250139Mag Iearns Mirror Shot at 25, 65 BP special steel move as a decent predecessor to flash cannonIMO Just Thundershock is OK with its huge SPatkIt's typing is the biggest game changer desu
>>59255577I meant electric attacks. I fucking hate mirror shot. It’s way too weak for how inaccurate it is. And while I’m at it, what the fuck is magnet bomb? Why give Mags a signature move of sorts and then make it physical? Ridiculous.
Magnezone is so fucking rancid.Even 20 years later.
How's it going, fellow Magnemite?
>>59257881IIRC Mag can beat everything by using sonicboomMost mons without fire / ground can't do any damage to it
spinni boy
>>59246873Game Freak is really autistic about giving Levitate mons any more than that ability. They clearly value its ability to attract steel-types over its ability to hover over the ground.
>>59255522
>>59248245>>59248936>>59249596>>59249639>>59258716Eviolite Magneton > Magnezone
>>59249367
>>59258716I don't hate it, and I'm happy they gave it something, but I do kind of prefer Magneton. At least it's not Rhyperior.Though I do find it intresting how both it and Magnezone don't feel that necesary. Frankly, the only Gen 1 cross evolution that genuinly does is Electivire and Magmortar. Since neither of it's pre evolutions has ever felt particulary good despite their rarity. In comparision every gen 2 and gen 3 cross evolution is a obvious salvage case and nigh unamiously very popular.
>>59262122you now remember Tangrowth exists
>>59262647Poketopia did that.Frankly, that was another case of them salvaging a failed mon (Mostly gameplay wise) but I guess it felt less necessary because at least Tangela had a obvious purpose in Gen 1(Not a good one, but hey).
>>59263897That game just keeps getting even more based each time I hear about it
>>59265901For me, it's the screws.
>>59245132Did you ever participate in the great magnemite exchange of the B2W2 era GTS?
>>59258716>uncs seriously believed this was supposed to be a clown nose
>>59261806I was going to call you out, but you're right, it's just Wheezing and Bronzong.
>>59266610And Weezing only got others years later for the new shill form.
>>59266644And Bronzong has that neat gimmick with heat-proof. Huh. I guess it’s such a good ability that they have to balance the whole Pokemon around it?
>>59248936That was easy
>>59260179happy :)
>>59249367>>59269628My ass hurts just looking at that. It's a big SCREW. It's not gonna feel good pressing up against anything!
>>59270647That sounds 'mitey painful
>>59266610Could've sworn there used to be more of them
>>59245132I like it, even though Magneton disappoints me because I would have liked a bit better than just 3 Magnemite
My bro should have had native levitate as an ability from gen 3 with magnet pull as a second. He literally fucking levitates./mad.
>>59279845cozy
>the line is in every mainline game from the very beginning>is unfathomably based literally all the time>Legends Z-A happens>not only did Magnezone not get a mega, he's not in the game at all>then the game suckscoincidence? I think not
>>59280335>But muh weaknesses I know, its sad. Themes are more important than competitions
>>59286240Wouldn't be all that overpowered even with Levitate
>>59288799It would be significantly worse with levitate.
>>59291627You're a big guy
>>59291629for you
>>59248399>>59292882>these arts matchnice
I liked using it in the TCG games
>>59292913>>59248399 is literally the reason on why i requested this meme on the drawthread.
A couple of years ago, I did a playthrough of Ultra Moon with only unevolved Pokemon, and Magnemite was part of that team. It even played a critical part in defeating Ultra Necrozma.
>>59248245Honestly I never felt much about the line until Magnezone, now I like all the stages.Maybe it's because I like working towards something cool (and I consider Magnezone cool even if I know this isn't universal), for example Helioptile/Heliolisk in XY always felt like it was messing one more stage, in theory they're Pokemon I like but I don't feel inclined to use them because of that nagging feeling.
love the guy sm
>>59293543ngl,the magnezone line peaked at magneton
Isn't it kinda weird how they introduce a UFO looking evo for it in gen 4 but nobody from Team Galactic, a space themed team, uses it
>>59265934I NEVER REALIZED HOLY SHIT
>>59293228That's the best one yet
>>59296997Will she get hurt if I tug on those buns?
>>59298058it would be extremely painful
>>59299438She's a big guy
>>59275193I don't know if gengar has always had a hidden ability, but if it did, they got rid of levitate from it and gave it cursed body instead. i guess it was just too good with levitate
>>59300421Gengar never had a Hidden ability, only Levitate until it was replaced.
>>59299449for you
>>59300617goated
Magenton was my MVP in my lastest FRLG playthrough. I like Magnezone but I wish it were a mega or regional variant of Magenton so it didn't get relegated to a middle evolution, but that wasn't on the cards in gen IV.
>>59303794For a good while it was a viable sidegrade to Magnezone, since it was only slightly weaker for a bit more speed. Pretty unique for a middle stage to not be reliant on Eviolite.
>>59246578>>59248315amazing in Pokopia.
>>59245173THIS! GET HIM!So we can throw him a party! A celebration in his honor! He so deserves it!
>>59303969How can something be amazing in pokepia?
>>59312800Gotta love the artists who draw one hyper specific fetish and nothing else
>>59312846I do love thoser a lot
>>59245132He's cool but not really fuckable, so the rating automatically goes down a bit
>>59246411Good line
Greenbros... how do we communicate with jasminefags?
>>59318889>Clang!>Clang!>Clang!>Clang!
>>59315663is that how you rate Pokemon anon
