>>59283266Heyo Ayumu anon that you? You happen to post anywhere other than here?
(Huge WIP)This is Darcy. She's an Ace Trainer in Sinnoh gunning for the championship. She has a reputation as a taskmaster, but she cares a lot about her Pokemon and has a playful, teasing side with those she's closest to. She has an arrogant, perfectionist streak, so she prefers to raise her Pokemon from birth. That way nobody can give them any bad habits. Her battling style is precise and theatrical. Compare her to Cynthia at your peril. She invests a lot in her Pokemon and is drawn to high potential, hence a lot of her mons are late bloomers or Pokemon that get stronger as a battle goes along.Mint (Meowscarada, M) was her starter, and they're practically childhood friends. She trusts him more than she trusts any of the humans in her life, and he's the one that gets to see her softer side more than anyone. He's hopelessly devoted to her and wants to win her the championship as much as she does. As a human-raised mon, he has very human hobbies. Darcy teases him endlessly for still reading comic books and playing video games as an adult. He's very persistent and as one of the only creatures who can truly challenge Darcy, he's become quite adamant. The sexual tension between them is palpable.(Larvesta M) is a young Pokemon, full of power, joie de vivre, and absolutely no focus. Darcy wants to tame him to finally have an answer to the Fairy type, but she has a long road ahead of her. He sees Darcy and Mint as parents, but he’s not a very obedient child.(Mienshao F) is Darcy’s second oldest Pokemon, and her greatest achievement in drawing out potential. As a Mienfoo she was klutzy and presumed unfit for battle, but Darcy noticed she had an unusual knack for bouncing back from injuries. They discovered her coordination issues were due to bad eyesight, and with that corrected her ability to regenerate mid-battle made her a force to be reckoned with. She's cunning and hates to lose. Extremely doomed crush on Mint.
>>59283434>trainer OC thread>OP is of a fakemonLOL
>>59284149Now try to make it look like a Pokemon character instead of a generic anime character
>>59284273Do you have any suggestions? What separates a Pokemon character from a generic anime character to you?
>>59284360That autistic retard probably thinks a character's hair needs to be shaped like a Pokemon in order for it to count, but he is right that there's nothing tying that headshot to the setting. I would make the bangs covering his face longer than the bangs on the opposite side so it imitates Morgrem's appearance more faithfully, make the iris red to match 3/6 mons, borrow the color scheme of at least one and only one mon for his jacket, and put some stylized Pokeball emblems in there so he looks like an inhabitant of the world and not just a visitor. Ideally, a standout character design shouldn't use much more than four different colors so it doesn't look like clown puke. Less color is more color unless a character is explicitly dressing like a carnie. Also holy cow that lineup is a mess with no consistency, his team reads like the roster equivalent of potluck.
>>59283466>albeit with some noticeable misspellings here and thereYeah, I'm no multitasker, so I'm not surprised that trying to act like one made my ESL apparent.>>59283522That me, yes. Did you remember the Volcarona's name? or was it perhaps my rambly way of talking? >You happen to post anywhere other than here?Specifically about Pokémon? No. Rare as it is, these OC threads are the only place I talk about Pokémon.

>Ghost-type Box Legendaries (Ice/Ghost embodying tradition, Eletric/Ghost embodying progress?)>Players release them (Accidentally? Maybe they're exploring a previously-untamed region. Archeologists?)>Things happen.>????Can't even say how helpful the ideas from last thread were. Went from a vague "Maybe this will work" to an actual idea.Anyways, here's two of the region's Starter 3rd evos to get things going. Asteraze (Fire/Rock) and Soothsea (Water/Psychic)I have the Grass one done too but hate it so it's going back to the workshop. Do you like them? Would you pick them? The plan is for 4 players so the "Starter" question is actually a mess but, figured every region has them so they might as well be there. Thanks for the help already! Gimmicks for towns, ideas for other Fakemon to fill out the regional dex (Monster Manual lmao), NPC ideas, etc. all would be awesome.>>59284265I'll have to get around to doing OC NPCs for the region eventually... surely. I'll try to contribute sprites in between filling out the dex, if anyone wants one, too.

>>59286017Urshifu is rare, but not that rare.
>>59286143>Urshifu is rare, but not that rare.It is as rare as all the other rarest possible pokemon (Legendaries) as there is only a single one in the cosmos.
>>59284729Do you have a Pokedex entry for your fakemons? Probably that is worth thinking about if you want to tie in the environment or where they live to how they would live.>The plan is for 4 players so the "Starter" question is actually a mess but, figured every region has them so they might as well be there.Do you plan to have a professor? Or who do you think it's going to deliver the starters? I don't think you need to stick with the 3 elemental starter line up at this point, so you don't need to stick with the water/fire/grass trifecta.Looking at the typings, you could probably make a square and add another type, maybe Bug type? Strong vs grass, weak vs fire and neutral vs water, other options could be maybe Ground or Rock, or be safe and just make it a normal type (remember that eevee is technically the 4th starter in Kanto).>>59285384If you have questions or need resources, feel free to ask, I have used the program enough that I can probably point you to the correct resources or offer some help there.>>59285994I have to agree with the other anon with the urshifu, mostly because this is a water team and he is not a water type.
>>59286585>Do you have a Pokedex entry for your fakemons? Probably that is worth thinking about if you want to tie in the environment or where they live to how they would live.I'm doing stats, abilities and basic movesets for each. Figure it's a good baseline to alter into TTRPGmons later. I guess as more of the Dex gets filled out, the region's traits might come out of that somewhat.>Do you plan to have a professor? Or who do you think it's going to deliver the starters? I don't think you need to stick with the 3 elemental starter line up at this point, so you don't need to stick with the water/fire/grass trifecta.None yet. I fortunately have a few months before schedules are going to align, so plenty of time to figure that out. Any ideas are, of course, welcome. What mons I have done already might end up scattered through the new region's dex, in new places. No reason these ones must occupy the starter slots, just initial ideas so far.
WIP for (>>59284149)>>59286585My major questions are with colors. For example, you can see that nearly all the colors of her top are coming out distorted. The green is too dark, the gold is too orange, and the skirt is way too orange. Do you know what's causing that? Also, the cape is an accessory, and I can't seem to change the color. All I really want to do is make the maroon part green, is there an easy-enough way to do that?
>>59284550Yes and yes. Unforch I can't catch you and the migu talk anywhere other than here since I only occasionally glance at the threads these days. Hope Ayumu's adventures are going well.
>>59287154>KoikatsuAh, I seem I'm in a thread with blessed individuals of culture.
>>59287225It's my first time ever working with it, fun so far.
>>59287225Yee, we have a few koikstsu users: gene, grym and this dude
>>59287275>>59287154Nice! Koikatsu is fun once you're used to it.If you want additional colors, you MAY have to do it yourself in photoshop.
>>59287311Is there an easy way to export an existing accessory to photoshop? That cape is perfect except for the color.
>>59287154>Do you know what's causing that?I think that might be an issue with how Koikatsu renders colors, I think it makes colors a bit darker than they should look like if you put their hex codes in there, I don't know what is happening to her shirt though, that kind of looks like its clipping with something else.>All I really want to do is make the maroon part green, is there an easy-enough way to do that?It is easy, but at that point you need to do the changes outside the game. In the stuff you want to change, you press the button called "material editor, that will bring you a new menu, for the time being just ignored everything in there and try to search for the word "maintex", and export that image, it will open up a file in your PC with the texture the model uses of the cape. From there you can edit it in your image editor of choice, then import it back to the game. Here is a collection of guides made from the old 4chan thread in /h/, there is a visual guide for the material editor utility in there.https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZsEm1ZtcWobHPUPmHixbD9NUMRfJDIb607
>>59287519Export the "maintex" in material editor :)
(WIP for >>59287154)TQ: I considered giving her an Eevee or a Kirlia since branched evos are all about potential. I still haven't really thrown them out, her team is in flux.>>59287587>>59287616Thank you, that wasn't too hard once I stopped accidentally overwriting the shirt's maintex. The clipping appears to be a persistent issue across a lot of skirts, but not the archery hakama. Between that and the glove technically being an archery glove, I guess she's an amateur archer.Any more feedback on the design?
>>59287691Hmm. Aside from looking onto getting mods from expand your outfit options, experiment with patterns and clothing shaders. A slight off topic post, but look at my once-pokemon oc Nuwa. I used a gradient pattern on her qipao, and in material editor I changed it's shader to IBl/StandardAlpha to give it more of a glossy metallic sheen. Same with the gloves and legwear, just without the shader change. All those mentioned items are in base koikatsu (at least they should still be), but with a little experimenting you can turn even vanilla clothing into somwtime somewhat unique looking! That's pretty much the name of the game here (aside form "Koikatsu") - Experimentation.Just don't forget to save often, save multiple cards if necessary, and if you're modifying a character's scale or body parts, take note of the current numbers you have them set to.I hope this helps a bit!>>59287284Dah, you can just call me Halianon now if you want.
>>59287691As for feedback, it's not bad at all! Just needs a little more variety, maybe some accessories or color alterations. I hope my tips help!
>>59287726Thank you for the advice. I tried to grab an outfit off BepisDB but it's just getting saved as an image of the outfit. Can I use that, somehow?
>>59284360they have tall eyes with thin iris'
>>59284360>>59287917It's the eyes, most exemplified in the sprites imo.Typically 4 pixels apart (with variance for head tilt / expression / unique features), and a 4x4 square. Pic related is 99.9% of Pokemon's visual identity.Simple color blocking and evenly-sized proportions are less-ubiquitous but still significant features.
>>59287917>>59287943Like this? I think it makes her look too cutesy, personally.
>>59287917>>59287943Took a look at her closest living relative, Clair's, Sugimori art. The eyes weren't very tall but the irises extended out past them. Tried emulating that with this one, I think it turned out better than my other attempt. Still think I like my original eyes better.
Ghostly bump.>>59287185Honestly, until a few days ago, I haven't really thought about my OC or even Pokémon in general... which's sad. Can't say I'll be active, because I won't, but do you have any suggestion of a place to talk Pokémon and OCs outside of here?
>>59288482SPooooookyy.
I'm settling on a landlocked, highlands "great lakes" region for the TTRPG region. Something like north Europe / Siberia. Nice combo of available challenges, but with environmental variety.Chose a Gen 3 map style to figure it out in, it's a good mix of trivial to replicate and looking decent.Need a region name. Need town names. A Professor. Rivals... Complete NPCs at all... Need many things. Progress is good though, huge help so far everyone! Thanks a bunch already, great to have people to bounce ideas off of.
>>59288007Looks much more in-style now, definitely.
>>59289028A main land region? Now that's interesting. You don't see many of those. I think the only ones that have that merit are Johto, Kanto, and Sinnoh.Maybe Unova and Kalos, but they don't "imply" there's land beyond the region.
>>59287726Having more trouble, I was trying to create a custom emblem with the MainTex but now it's adding these weird black bars at the edge. The MainTex file doesn't go beyond the edge of the numbers at all, so I don't know where these might be coming from.(Figured >>59287909 out with the help of a friend. Never would have guessed dragging and dropping would work as smoothly as it did...)
>>59289183>A main land region? Now that's interesting. You don't see many of those. I think the only ones that have that merit are Johto, Kanto, and Sinnoh.>Maybe Unova and Kalos, but they don't "imply" there's land beyond the regionNot just mainland, full landlocked. Had some stuff happening yesterday, I managed to finish the Larvesta encounter todayhttps://rentry.co/Larvesta-encounter>>59284550feel free to also diss on the errors of my work, fair is fair.>>59289028What System are you using? I know there is PTU, PTA and I think one or 2 DND E5 conversion modules, you should probably also think about how your players are like and try to guess what they might like.Looking at the map, the middle of the lake on top left and the center of the map look important.>Need a region name.>Do a quick google search and Google translatemmmm... Remya?>>59289211You can also drag and drop the cards themselves, the function is useful if for whatever reason you dont have all your Koikatsu stuff in your main install. Scenes work the same in the Studio sideprogramFor the Skirt issue, you can probably fix it through Alphamasks (basically telling the game what to load or not load based on a black/yellow texture) or moving some sliders in skirt scale. Still so far you just have to test stuff and mess around with the program, if you press F1 you will see options for your plugins.
>>59289284>What System are you using?Haven't settled on that yet. I've picked up a few Pokemon TTRPG variants. Will be reading them soon to see how they translated the games to the table. Usually I end up jury rigging together some ultra-streamlined system out of whatever parts from other games feel like the best mechanical identity for a particular campaign / player styles.>Looking at the map, the middle of the lake on top left and the center of the map look important.I'm thinking the town at the end of the road on the top left is the Starter Town.>RemyaDone and dusted. Perfect.
I fear I have made her look too much like a milkmaid.>>59289304Currently in a Pokeymanz game, the system seems pretty streamlined for actual Pokemon needsMaybe the next step write out a full list of everything you're sure you need. Town 1 name, town 2 name, rival name, rival personality, etc. Then it'll be easier to just pick one off the list and sort it out piece-by-piece.
>>59289339>Maybe the next step write out a full list of everything you're sure you need. Town 1 name, town 2 name, rival name, rival personality, etc. Then it'll be easier to just pick one off the list and sort it out piece-by-piece.Oh hell yeah it's spreadsheet time!I love spreadsheet time.
>>59289339>I have made her look too much like a milkmaidBe happy she ain't a Hex, or I would've asked for a glass instantly. Maybe change the top?
>>59289343That's the spirit!>>59289367A little change to the top and getting rid of the sleeves seemed to do the trick. And it gave me a little design space to add the cape again.
Still don't know what's wrong with the jersey number but I want to try posing stuff now.
>>59289490Sporty!
We have names!Town names, at least. I went with the names of pigments because it's the first thing I thought of. Mixed it up a bit with a few random Estonian-inspired names. Why Estonian? Why, because it's the first thing that came to mind. We're really putting in that maximum, deeply iterative creative effort here. Please forgive the ordering, too. I ordered them towns first, then cities, then big cities, not in any linear routwise direction. Also updated the routes slightly to include some sick loop de loops. Gotta have those.Pick a town to visit or city for your OC to visit! I'll tell you something they find there. I don't have any ideas yet for any of them, but I think this might be a good excuse to figure it out.
>>59289725Ok, I'm curious. If I were to visit Jasper City, what would I find?
>>59289847>If I were to visit Jasper City, what would I find?An old abandoned mining town turned into a museum, next to a new lively agricultural hub. The town almost died forever when the mines dried up, but descendants of the locals who stuck it out found new use for the land. The Old Jasper Mining Town is a big tourist attraction for the region, bolstering it into a proper city far bigger than the town it used to be. Don't stay long, though, because rumor has it that ghosts of the old mining town come out after dark...Watermelight, the Watermelon Pokemon, is common here. Its roots enrich the the soil that it calls home.
>>59289871>Watermelight, the Watermelon PokemonI wonder if he gets confused by a Watmel berry.
You will never guess which one of these I posed myself and which one I could use a premade pose for>>59289725Darcy's looking for strong trainers in Verdegris, right before what appears to be Victory Road. What else does she find there?
Of course, Watermelight's pre-evo, Tastyslice, is the true mascot of Jasper City.>>59290071Verdisgris is the city of art and energy. The streets are filled with sculptures, galleries and performers. The great Verdisgris PokeTheater hosts regular epic stageplays. Maybe your PokeFriends want to test their acting chops!Of course, the strongest trainers gather here to enjoy themselves before the grueling trek up Victory Road. One in particular, the famous Old Man Villem, longest-reigning former Champion of the region, resides in a cottage north of the city. He's retired, but some say he can be bribed to battle with an ice cold glass of Lemonade.
>>59290165Are you also going to add a fried chicken themed Pokemon, by any chance?
>>59290193>Are you also going to add a fried chicken themed Pokemon, by any chance? No that is not currently in the plan.
>>59288482Darn, hate to hear it, but still, you did show up out of nowhere with some writing so that's something! I honestly don't really have a suggestion as for where to post, a thread dedicated to OCs is probably your best bet, but I was willing to bite if you had any socials or anything of the sort. Guess if you wanted to talk poke-migu or Ayumu to someone more directly you could catch me over mail, worldismine39@proton.me
>>59289725Considering the big lake at the middle of the region, do the cities or towns have a ferry system to make people go across?
>>59290512Makes sense. I could also make it a deathly acid lake of constant horrible storms that nobody can cross. Options, options.
>>59290071>You will never guess which one of these I posed myself and which one I could use a premade pose forI don't know, you posed that Archaladon behind you pretty well I think!
Things are coming together already. The overall arc of two Box Legendaries being released from their prisons then starting a localized calamity seems reasonable. Themes of progress vs tradition are rock solid to go off of.I'll probably start working on NPCs soon enough. Will need a Professor, 8 Gym Leaders, an Elite 4, and whoever the Evildoers end up being. Team... ????Who knows. Ideas more than welcome. Actually contributing OCs to the OC thread will be nice though.
>>59290928The evildoers can be your classic private corpo who thought "hey, let's dig this evil and creepy hole, nothing bad will come out of it."AKA, Doom's excuse 101.
>>59290987>The evildoers can be your classic private corpo who thought "hey, let's dig this evil and creepy hole, nothing bad will come out of it."Reasonable. I'll make a note of it and go with it, if no other big ideas pass me by.

I can imagine that becoming a issue later down the line when you fight the upper half of the gym leaders.
>>59294342The Meowscarada, obviouslyI still don't know what that means. KK's a porn game, it could be literal...>>59294587Nah, I'm new around here. And new to KK, only been using it a couple of days.
>>59295233>Actually how complicated it would be to make 4 consecutive Gym fights per character?Already been thinking about that. My current plan is encouraging the players to pick their roles; As in, one player gets to be "The Red" and challenge the gym battles. The others are part of the group (Archeologists, cooks, I don't know. Something cool.) but less focused on being THE champion. I'll be a discussion as things get closer, surely. Maybe I'll demand three players just be the pokemon and ban them from saying any words but their own Pokemon names for the whole session. Many things to consider. One extra objective coming together is some kind of conflict between the two Teams of the region. No idea which is which or what really do yet, but siding with oen or the other could be a path.
>>59295284I see. Welcome thenIm a guy who stops by from time to time to do OC swimsuit requests

>learned how2sloppa decently just so I could finally put my dream team together with my OC like I've always dreamtI do enjoy doing simple sketching, but the actual colouring and shading parts just fly over my head honestly; if sloppa is unwelcome please lemme know and I'll banish myself to the dedicated thread (despite its sorry sorry state). As for the OC, movesets or competitiveness or viability have always been of secondary importance, she's just gathered a fun collection of chill mons to travel around with; I don't think they'd care much about tournaments or badges or leagues, seeing new places and enjoying nature is far more important to them. I do plan to have them visit a lot of different environments, possibly (eventually) travel across all regions and portray each one's quirks and landmarks, but this kinda stuff takes a surprising amount of time so it'll be a while.
>>59296205>if sloppa is unwelcome pleaseIt's unwelcome to the schizos, but tacitly accepted by most. Also, you are welcome. To the thread, that is. Exceedingly based and kino team.

>>59296205>>59296320Yes, AI has always been and always will be allowed here. I'm actually impressed by this, and I'm going to laugh my ass off if some Redditor tries to claim this isn't art o algo.
>>59296619Regardless, I do want to give props to the artist for sticking with drawing and having the talent to create stuff on their own accord, Mostly because I was never able to draw very well, kind of why I liked being able to use this program for some of my random ideas.>>59296205Do you have names for your team? >Early Gen Route maps trivially translate 1:1 to square grid battlemaps. This is revolutionary. I've been sketching out the Remya region, 1 pixel = 1 tile scale. I might honestly do this for all my battle planning in the future. It's a lighting fast way of tossing together landscapes and area shapes. Went with red clay for the starter area, I think it's going to be a unique place to describe, and something nostalgic about "home" when the players finally get back there.I even have some proper OCs now, the Gym Leaders. One sprite done, a few more started. Might actually be able to contribute thread-related content soon! Very cool.A hook is settling. Players start in a small fishing village. Someone fishes up a mysterious thing. (Related to the Legendaries?) and the players are sent on a journey to bring it to the Verdisgris City museum. Something something, mishaps and shennanigans, something something, ancient usnpeakable evil Ghost legendaries awaken, get stopped somehow, the end.
>>59298838Very nice. Im seeing a lot of new designs. Ill try offering some swimsuit requests soon if anyone's interested.

>>59299199>I like how this pixel map looks. It's absolutely blazing fast, too. Obviously you can improve things later, but as far as smearing an area with a color, then scribbling a different color goes, the workflow is maximum efficiency.

They don't realise that a lot of Pokémon need bedding that suits them for sleep. Lairon-grade hammocks are tough with tensile steel rope that handles up to 350lb of weight, and because they're closer to the ground you won't be woken up by the sound of your Pokémon's feet stomping on the ground each morning! High quality and comfort for affordable prices! For the next thread question, I would like to suggest:>Where and HOW does your OC's favourite Pokémon sleep?

I have this guy, ace trainer Arthur Potts, who would basically be an anime trainer in Unova to replace Cameron as Ash’s obligatory “random ass trainer he loses the tournament to”. The idea would be Arthur would start out as having a full team of weak unevolved bug types + trapinch but would slowly grow over the latter half of the series, eventually beating ash with a fully evolved team. Think kinda like Sawyer if his arc culminated in him beating ash. Would probably use tricky tactics like entry hazards, status conditions, and switch out moves. Personally wise, to contrast ash, he would be shy, introverted, and unconfident (think kinda like Arthur from The Tick), while also having a sarcastic edge when dealing with the zanier members of the cast and being highly methodical and calculating when it comes to battling.
>>59314679Are you doing a fanfic if he is supposed to be a swap of Cameron? Is it a rewrite of the Anime BW? I heard that one was pretty weak or mid all things considered.
>>59314679EXCEEDINGLY based team. Love how you kept the general Bug aesthetic with a few non-technically-bug includes.

>>59315141Unfortunately, no, it’s just an idea I’ve had bouncing around in my head for a bit. I have too many fanfic wips to consider adding more to the pile right now. It’s all just hypothetical. Actually, speaking of, here’s a hypothetical idea for a character for a bw2 novelization fanfic, Joan Charbonneau. The idea is she would be the male protagonist, Nate’s, older sister who ran off to join team plasma and is now part of the original team plasma faction who still follows N. Desperate to make up for her past wrongs and seeing the writing on the wall regarding Neo team plasma, she decides to gather up and train N’s old Pokemon companions so she can present to her lord N-sama for him to battle with in the inevitable conflict ahead. In case you can’t tell, she would have a bit of a pseudo celebrity crush on N and is somewhat based on Whitley from the pokespe bw2 arc. She would also be the one to give Nate N’s Zorua, since he’s the only one of N’s Pokemon she can’t get along with. She’d probably also have some heroic stand moment where she fights off some plasma grunts so Nate and Hugh can advance.
>>59316005Very cute team.
Yukina The ColdHer real name is Mitzi UkiCurrent Age: 29Occupation: Idol and performerPokemon: Glaceon and Eevee*Summary: She was born and raised in Snowpoint City, her family were on the more poorer side of the economic spectrum so her parents invested their money and time to make her a successful child star through intensive idol training. They succeeded but she became very cold, not just towards them but almost everyone she encounters and when she got old enough to gain her own independence she cut all ties with her parents. The only thing from them she kept was her partner Eevee who evolved into Glaceon during her idol training. She does solo songs, rarely ever collabs with other artists and when she does her role is usually the “bad person”, even in movies, shows, or ads she participates in she is always the villainess and with that reputation she gained the title of Yukina The Cold. She’s so notorious for this that people can’t tell if it’s her default personality or a character she plays, but there are rumors that she intends to add a new Eevee into her idol life with the sole purpose of being the face while herself and Glaceon plays as the heel. Speculators are saying she will evolve it into Leafeon but nothing is confirmed
>>59316326>Speculators are saying she will evolve it into Leafeon but nothing is confirmedThere's no way. She's going for Flareon, no question.
>>59287311I prefer regular swampert, but the art is pretty cool

>>59318795It is a bit weird, at the very least it is something people will notice. I'm assuming you're not using actual game stats in your writing, so it's a bit easier to handwave, but even then, even if you don't agree with the idea that Pokemon would naturally have some kind of "Affinity" for moves of their same type, it makes sense for them to at least have moves that correspond to it, because having a certain type should count for something offensively as well as defensively in a type matchup. And if for some reason you are using game stats in your writing but don't want to have a Pokemon using STAB... the fuck are you even doing? You might as well just not use stats at all.

>>59322394It was added a while back, I just didnt realized until I saw a scene with it.>>59322629>Nobody leaves the Jacinthe Zone without blacking out. Some of my friends made that joke, except they added that he appears tied to a bed. That, and another friend interjected saying "No, what actually happens is that he is forced to watch while Jacinthe pegs Lebanne, if Gene tries to run away she threatens him"Im not sure which is worse.
>>59324115>if Gene tries to run away she threatens himAnd if he succeeds, he better doesn't get caught again!BROTHER!
>>59325331Now that I'm going to bed, I realized I ruined the spoiler.Damn. Well /tog/, I'm off to bed.
>>59325755Pleasant dreams!
>>59325331I have not watched JJK, only thing I know from it is from internet osmosis, So I only know about the fight animations, and the memes from it like glazing gojo, and that guy that apparently rewrote his entire memory to become the homiest homie to the protagonist because of his taste for women. After doing that I started to think how Gene would act if he was dragged in a situation like that. Sadly I don't have a Switch 2, or is my PC strong enough to run their emulator, so I'm just stuck assuming Jacinthes personality unless I go watch some stream or lets play of PLZA, from what I heard she does seem like the kind of person that will do a kidnapping in broad daylight and not consider it weird or crazy.
>>59326544>I have not watched JJKMe neither, but this meme got popular because a Dominican guy made a rape joke about a character called Mahito. Some other guy made an animation, and that's where the face came from.https://youtu.be/bYiJJKW6IiA?si=eu1DHrvReEifUAiI>Internet osmosisI also have a second fanmade part, but that will have to wait because I have a perfect image for it in my home PC, especially because it explains how people read mangas nowadays.
Don't know how often I"ll be poking around these threads, but thanks for the help and ideas so far with the tabletop stuff!I have a clear hook now (Fish up a mysterious object, get sent to bring it to the big city to get it looked at.) and the general shape of things.Likely won't be filling in many details beyond the first few towns, unless necessary, until they come closer to being encountered. No need to do work that won't be seen for eons.Still though! Muchos gracias! Huge help so far.
>>59327438Glad we could help, man. If you dver need some ideas discussed, or some funny tips, you know where to find us.
>>59327438>Likely won't be filling in many details beyond the first few towns, unless necessary, until they come closer to being encountered. No need to do work that won't be seen for eons.Yeah, also depending on how they RP they might end up fleshing out the town themselves, its good to keep things kind of loose and see if the players can help you create the world alongside them.Have you finally decided on what system you plan to run? I imagine you want to tell them early so they can familiarize slowly with the mechanics of it, Also how is it going with the Fakemon creation?
>>59327028I have found part 2.Besides the obvious rape jokes, it also gave me this perfect image that would make /a/ mad and cringe as fuck.>[I read the manga through Tik Tok.]>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsAcE47cYu0
>>59328320>Have you finally decided on what system you plan to run?Still have a while, I'll settle sooner or later. PTU's the one I'm gravitating toward.>Also how is it going with the Fakemon creation?Decent enough! I've settled on Humanmons for the "Box Legendaries" which, shockingly, has never been done before. Will be getting done the small early-Route guys sooner or later, filling out most of the Dex with existing sprites to ease the burden. Among the ideas,>Normal/Steel early-route hedgehog kind of guy with Iron Barbs, just to annoy people.>Bug/Fighting Trapdoor Spider 'mon with an ability ("Trap Door" or something. Very creative name.) granting it immunity to Flying.>Ghost (Probably Psychic too) royalty-themed catmon with ability that clears Hazards before it enters.>Tiger-themed (Fighting/Dragon) Pokemon for the Mythical.Been helpful to think of the mons in a game context, hopefully easier to jam them to the tabletop system that way too, comparing them to other similar options instead of going in blind.
>>59328939>Tiger-themed (Fighting/Dragon) Pokemon for the Mythical.>HumanmonsSomehow my head went to Tony the Tiger.
I had a dream last night that a lemongrab-type character had joined Hali, Midori and Cain. And much like Lemongrab, this girl was an absolute fucking nutcase.>UNACCEPTABLE!!
>tfw made teams before I even made the characterDoes anyone else have this problem?
>>59329616Only when I'm playing around with PMD ideas
>>59329581>"Hey is that a new Pokemon?">"No, he's just shaped like a lemon."kek
>>59329555>Somehow my head went to Tony the Tiger.I may or may not be called to make a Tony the Tiger clone now.
>>59329787>I HAVE TO USE MY FIRE TYPE POKEMON NOW>IT'S A FIRE TYYYYYYPE
>>59330429Lemon-Type (Super Effective vs Steel, Fairy and Water) would fix the type chart.
>>59328939>I've settled on Humanmons for the "Box Legendaries" which, shockingly, has never been done before. When you say "Humanmons", you mean humanoid looking mons like gallade and so, or you mean pokemon/human fusions? because that concept existed before in Reburst, being more of a super sentai kind of transformation>Normal/Steel early-route hedgehogkinda sounds like togedemaru except no electric type>royalty-themed catmonmaybe a sphinx looking catHave you considered maybe some regional forms? maybe some ice version of mons like Chandelure or similar, you could also make a ice version of Will o wisp.>>59329555I got curious and I found picrel, so great minds think alike ig?>>59329616I don't think it's a problem, In pokemon a team can infer a lot of the trainer, you are just taking a different approach, going first with the mons before the character itself, having issues coming up with human designs?
>>59330500>Because that concept existed before in ReburstNo lie, it should've worked like Megaman Battle Network's Cross Fusion.
>>59330500>Have you considered maybe some regional forms?Weirdly I just put one together. I didn't want to do regional forms to start, but have changed my mind. First, because it's way faster to edit an already existing sprite than to iterate a new mon design from scratch. Then also, I think it would be a nice touch to take some of the players' favorite Mons and give them Regional Forms.I'll have to double check with a few of them, but I know for certain that one's favorite is Absol. As much as Mega Absol was a boost, I think Absol's original identity of a mid-speed, fragile pure attacker is surprisingly unique. I wanted to focus on amplifying that identity, instead of just the "Give it more Speed lol" obvious route. OG Absol's Super Luck ability gave me the next idea, a Poison type attacker built for pure destruction via Merciless. That player's favorite overall type is Fairy, so slap that on and we have our first regional mon, Remyan Absol! I think it's settled into a unique, potent identity. Horrifyingly threatening wallbreaker, extremely fragile and vulnerable to Ground, kept in check by mid speed (Which was honestly half of Absol's core mechanical identity) and reliance on Status-spreading support. Added Aftermath as an alternative tech option, works well with the "Disaster Pokemon" theme too, I think.>kinda sounds like togedemaru except no electric typeVery similar thematically, yeah. Love me some Togedemaru, so it fits.>maybe a sphinx looking catNot a bad idea! Slots into the history/progress themes well.
>>59331054You can make the flavor dex of this absol be like "it sees the disasters that befalls everyone, it shows a vision of the disaster to the affected, then asks for a deal to stop the disaster, not being able to see the ruse" now that it's a fairy, since all fae are trickster, spin around the idea of Absol being a harbinger/warning of disaster to be someone that takes advantage of the future disaster.
>>59331523>now that it's a fairy, since all fae are trickster, spin around the idea of Absol being a harbinger/warning of disaster to be someone that takes advantage of the future disaster.Phenomenal stuff. I've vaguely planned a trio of "Trickster" / "Chaos" (The embodiments of the forces that act against both tradition, by destabilizing it, and progress, by disrupting it.) non-box Legendaries so that fits perfectly in.
>>59330341Prompt?
>>59331689None. I wanted to bump with old art.
>>59331539Another option I could give is probably Xatu or gothitelle, one supposedly sees both the past and the present and the other has seen the heat death of the universe, you can probably make a version that cannot bear with the knowledge and they either just rampage or become super nihilistic over life.
Miror B (Midori's Father) team!
>>59332769Do you have any original ideas to go with that?
>>59332986Do you have any original statements to make?
>>59332994Are you an actual child or do you just have a learning disability? So you attached your idea to a canon character. Do you actually intend to do anything with it or did you only plan on riding a popular character's coattails so your idea can be cool by association? If it's just a trivia factoid then it doesn't matter who is related to what.
>emilyfag of all people is complaining about "originality"KEK
Goodnight all, here's a look at one of the cards (not final) for the upcoming /tog/ set.Details and submissions open June 15th!
>>59332724>Another option I could give is probably Xatu or gothitelle,Current plan is for 4 Regional formes (One of each player's favorite) but I could do more. Gothitelle's a long time favorite of mine, Xatu's awesome. Maybe I'll sprinkle in a few more, the sprites are way easier to do so it'll save me plenty of time.>one supposedly sees both the past and the present and the other has seen the heat death of the universe, you can probably make a version that cannot bear with the knowledge and they either just rampage or become super nihilistic over life.I'll have to dig into more 'mons that fit the region's themes. Some great ideas.
>>59333120Cute!
>>59332769Miror B would have a Quaquaval...
>>59332769>DragoniteI wonder if it's the same one you can snag from him in XD.
>>59333600I'd like to think so! I might end up replacing Hitmontop, I thought he had swords dance but he only has Rain Dance... maybe a bug type with Quiver Dance or a grass type with Petal Dance?>>59333514It suits him surprisingly well! I can see him striking mad disco poses with Quaquaval.
>>59334140>I can see him striking mad disco poses with Quaquaval. His battle intro dance cutscene (unskippable) just extended by 5 minutes.
>>59334363DDR minigame VS Miror B!
>>59334545Finally. I've been training for this moment!>https://youtu.be/c5uT7fas-WE?si=698QKs07Egk-XRW6
>>59316449>>59317434Yeah, Flareon does make more thematic sense for it huh. But just a lil spoiler, the Eevee ends up in another trainers hands but regardless Flareon still fits>>59317471She has solid nerves>>59318386Genetics are sunny sometimes. Some grandkids take features from their grand parents.>>59322344Does he make it alive?
>>59334820He sure as hell won't be able to beat her from his team alone, technically on typing alone Crobat is his only real option, lucario is there, but the fighting type won't help at all (at best he will be able to take down aurorus), absol is going to be irrelevant unless he manages to take down gardevoir, mimikyu I don't think will be able to beat someone from his own typing, Serperior can only fight in an even ground against carbink and eevee is eevee.I have been considering the scenario for a while, and the best chance for Gene is trying to escape and hopefully not be found by jacinthe, or try to reason with her to show that is going to be a boring match, or something like that.
>>59335025Keep the Absole away from the pixies
>>59335227>Best starter turtwig not on sightSadthat reminds me, do you guys have seen the site where you can announce to people what is your favorite mon?https://favoritepokemon.vercel.app/I have been checking out what people have to say and seeing some of the picks surprised me, like trubbish being top 10 of gen 5, the people agree with you, Oleana.
>>59283434>Eben Does it sound like a nice name?
>>59335025>Today I am reminded that Aurorus, the Aurora Pokemon, (The Aurora Pokemon that sets snow) had to wait two generations to get Aurora Veil.>Today I am reminded that Aurorus, the Rock-type special attacker, still does not have Power Gem.
>>59335520>Eben>Does it sound like a nice name?Sounds ebin.
>>59335520Sounds good.What are you naming, anon? A berry? A guy? A place?
>>59335556How many special moves Rock and ground type has? By the nature of the type I'm surprised there are special attacks.>>59335520Yeah, I have to ask what you are calling Eben, mind showing us what you want to call Eben? Because that could be a place, a mon, a person or a item.
>>59336783>How many special moves Rock and ground type has?For Rock? Three. Aurorus gets the two unusable ones.I hate it.
>>59336853I sometimes wonder if bringing back fossils is a good idea. They went extinct for a reason.
>>59336970>They went extinct for a reason.>Fisheous Rend flashbacks intensifyI can only imagine some went extinct via destroying their local ecosystems.
Last 10. Any ideas for questions and tasks?
>>59337063No.
>>59337063>Any ideas for questions OC's favorite regional formes? Vaguely on-topic of this thread.>and tasks?Drawing a blank on that one, sadly.
>>59335559>>59336783>>59335925It's the name of my rock-type gym leader. Means rock; short form of Ebenezer (means stone of help).
>>59337501Sounds good! Though a rock type gym leader named "Scrooge" could be kino too.
>>59337501Sounds european, I like it.

>>59337635Scrooge sounds like the name of a guy who would have this ugly motherfucker as his ace and think it's the best thing in the world, not a rock type gym leader.
