It has some good parts. I like the changes to the battle system, the PvP, and it's hands down the funniest Pokemon game ever. The rogue mega evolution battles are a good evolution of the Noble Pokemon fights from Legends Arceus.But the bad parts are pretty bad. The wild zones are so small and dinky that it's disappointing. A single zone in Legends Arceus is bigger than all the wild zones in Legends ZA combined. The city has a lot of verticality to its map which makes it annoying to navigate, esepcially since ladders don't show up on the map.Lastly, on a personal level, I don't like exploring urban environments. I want to explore an actual jungle, not a concrete jungle. So this game was very disappointing to me on the exploration front.Overall I did enjoy my time with Legends ZA and I think it was worth the price, but Legends Arceus was superior in nearly all ways.

I’ll give you the ladders part though, having to circle around multiple buildings just to find the one rooftop that you have to hop across from to the building you want to be on top of is annoying.

Z-A is one of those games that looks super boring at a glance, but when you play it it's actually pretty good.

The city itself is incredibly ugly, boring and repetitive, they didn't even bother giving each district an unique theme to differentiate them. Battles themself are also a bore where you just spam low CD moves, would have been much better if you controlled your Pokémon directly like in Poképark. Really the only positives for me is that some of the characters and mega have neat designs, that's about it. This is far worse than Arceus

I really liked it. I pirated it since I havent given nintendo or gamefreak money since ultra sunmoon. There are some downsides, the graphics in some areas are dogshit, sometimes the AI pathing breaks and is annoying. Not enough wild zones and taking place in a city only kinda sucks. However, it's the most fun Ive had playing pokemon in decades. Its just a really, really fun game to me. The writing is funny and enjoyable most of the time, the combat is fun even if it can be a bit repetitive. Parkour and running across rooftops is neat, not perfect, but fun. It reminds me of playing early pokemon games as a kid. Lots of places it needed polish, but it actually felt like they took risks and tried to shake up the formula more than just by adding a gimmick. It has flaws for sure. But it's playable and fun. whenever something annoyed me , something fun came along and made me smile.
this game would be 100x better if it had a jumping button
