Were these the X and Y of their day?
>>59303491In what way?
>>59303691idk this way
The only incentive about this joke of a game is that May looks by far at her best in it.XY doesn't even have that.
>>59303491No.Ruby and Sapphire were coming out of pokemania and Pokemon was largely resented/hated/ridiculed among everyone except hardcores. Those hardcores then had to deal with a game that presented only one region and removed day or night. It felt like a step backwards among those playing since G/S only added to the game while it was seen as garbage and infantile by those who did not play or dropped.X/Y saw a renaissance of interest in the franchise having been released as something that holds nostalgic commodity in an era where people were turning more towards geek chic and nerdy interest and nerds became the money makers through the late 00s and 10s and were the new Jones’ to follow. There was also 3D so there was a LOT of hope and interest going into Gen 6.They are hardly the same.Gen 3 sits as its own monster honestly, even Gen 4 didn’t get as much initial backlash because it brought back features Gen 3 dropped. Gen 3 felt like the first real downgrade (even if it wasn’t).
>>59303491The BW1 of their day.
>>59303491It was the SwSh of its day because it was the first dexit.
>>59303491X and Y weren't even the X and Y of their day
>>59303491Not even close. They're not great but at least RSE didn't kneel to game journalists. XY is just a baby game
>>59304263>RS isn’t a baby game
>>59303491RS were initially hated, they're not immensely hated now like XY are.
>>59304713Why do you need to lie, sagie?
