We also know now from the leaks that they struggled for the longest time to even find a motif for the two from light-darkness, time-light, human-pokemon (their final designs clearly resemble this the most). Their abilities are the generic Pressure instead of something that informs their role like the Weather Trio. In-game, we can see the decs struggled establishing the relationship between them if they fought, worked together or if they were sort of deities that passed judgement (canalave myths).If anything, they reflect DP's ambitious but troubled development cycle
