Interesting writeup of selling at Momocon on r*ddit. Main takeaway seems to be the high end magic market doesn't exist outside of mtg-specific events and online, and that vendors are pretty universally getting stretched thin on cash, and casual fans aren't buying sealed at market priced. The latter is a potential indicator of downward price pressure - if you need cash, you drop prices on what you've got, and sealed would be the highest cost with (presumably) the highest profit already made.Nothing groundbreaking, but interesting to see a perspective on the ground. Supports my belief that the cheapest set of modern cards are pretty well priced (e.g. The <$20 cards), and the high end modern stuff and sealed don't have much room to grow.I'm not meaningfully invested in any of it, so I don't have a dog in the fight, just found it interesting.

Trying to start a collection but the scalpers are making it extremely hard to get anything, even singles, at affordable prices. Is Pokemania hitting only cards or other adjacent pokemon merch? Because I was thinking of flipping limited time merch like clothes so I can afford some of these cards. I don't want to resort to flipping merch like sneaker heads but this is getting ridiculous for anyone starting out in the hobby. Any advice
