I know, once we get to higher power formats it won't be as big a deal, but it is meta warping right now. I do recognize this kind of strategy would be harder to pull off in Bo3, since on ladder people tend to tunnel vision into trying to knock out the TR setter immediately.

The only bit of tech insight I can give is that Ttar + Steelix board state basically stops the normal Zard Y set from attacking. Wide Guard stops heat wave, weather ball becomes a rock move, and solar beam takes 2 turns and does 1/2 damage.
It's a dragon dance Ttar which is wild.

I'm just netdecking the team that was featured on Cybertron's channel. I'd imagine the original team builder used Azumarill for the better Kingambit matchup and so it can match up better in TR. As far as weather goes, Crab beats Sand pretty handily, Camerupt ironically beats Rain, Sun can be dealt with by either Mega, and Crab likes Snow.

Is the Kalos Mega Stone + Floette Stone event over? I did Chesnaught, because I was curious how running it'd go over (spoilers, it was shit), but didn't bother with the other three because:
