Thread for one of the biggest cutie patooties in Pokémon and imo the only reason people know about the adventures manga and why its still around. It probably won't be a main stay like May general or Dawn general as there is not art or content for that but wanted to give Yellow her time in the sun.

According to the writers, the concept of her design was based on her role in the plot instead of the other way around. Early in the RGB series, the writers needed a character who looked ordinary, but with a few disguise, could appear completely different and play the protagonist in the next series. With her ponytail being her signature feature, she was given a straw hat to hide it. While envisioning her riding on Doduo, the writers had the image of a western cowboy in mind, and thus gave her a fishing rod as well.Yellow's initial clothing did not feature the belt and pouch, but since the beginning of the Yellow series, her attire basically remained the same over the years, with only slight colour alterations to her pants and boots in the FRLG series. Originally, she had a black and purple feather on her straw hat, but they were revealed to be the Silver and Rainbow Wings in the GSC series and given to Gold to enter the voids of time. Since she revealed her true gender to Red, she doesn't wear her straw hat as often. LGPE was the closest we got to them even seeing the manga given it gave us Green who was until then a manga only character and a scrapped design. Yellow was made entirely from the groundup for the manga so Gamefreak for whatever reason may be hesitant to add her to anything.

At least Yellow’s an actual trainer like Green and feels like a proper pokemon character. Would have been a good excuse to add her via a Neru Cameo back when they were doing that vika voltage album thing with miku and teto a few years ago.
>>59322333Yeah its totally not her being worse or anything. Part of me wonders if they have strange copyright even internally in the company or just wanting to keep the different universes separate. Green was a surprise but a welcome one. I fangirled so hard when she was actually in LGPE since its rare to get a nod like that. There is still hope for Yellow but its more the fact that having her would imply manga timeline or universe. Hell we only got the Ash and Red crossover in Masters since its not gamefreak doing Masters. I can tell this as Masters is literally the only thing we had of Kris in 30 years and that's because while Gamefreak is trying to pull a Stalin on Kris the company behind Masters liked her and added both her and Lyra. Gamefreak is strange that it decides to unperson characters sometimes.

I watched the anime first like most but one day my mom found some pokemon manga at a bookstore and bought me some and they were the Yellow chapter. So there is that. Aside from that I like other aspects of her too and the gapmoe as the Japs call it.She gives off this sweet forest princess vibe her to her, her cuteness in general, and just how interesting she is as a character with her power and her bond with her pokemon But the gap more comes in that she also was willing to kill Lance. Like despite how sweet she seems she is the type where if you go "We're going to have kill this guy Yellow!" She'll go "Hell yeah!"

For Yellow its her forest princessy sorta aesthetic and how she seems so kind and sweet but is also ready to throwdown or kill when its needed. Anons just hate great girls and could not take the seer aura Green gives off.
