Why are people obsessed with elo when the other ratings matter more? Elo naturally fluctuates, your actual win rate and chance of winning a game shows your real skill level

Of course there are exceptions on the very top where there aren't enough players at the same skill level, but those are just that;, exceptions.Winrate falls the more you play, it stays high when you initially ladder and then evens out, a high winrate is only proof that you barely play.

if you ladder at times when the top players aren't playing and inflate your winrate that way you should naturally not benefit as muchsimilarly if your winrate is lower but all you're doing is playing top players you should benefit more
