At least they seem to be dialing it back a bit with the wetsuits in winds/waves. ORAS was a cool return to hoenn and LGPE could have just been explained as "the next generation" of Kanto. With Green being a little older than the new trio but experienced enough to be a mentor like Red was to Yellow. At least that's how she came across being introduced in the postgame around Mewtwo and in her Evolution's OVA: the Discovery. Guess that is kind of like how she'd act in a manga using her victreebel as a grapplehook and blastoise as a jetski. Was kind of funny how she quickly soloed the entire golden bridge with her pokemon and left them all in a big pile with their pokemon.

Green would beat up a yandere punk like Nemona no problem. They seem to have really toned her down in the manga. In game you could not progress past several parts of the game without humoring her. I could understand looking up to her hero who put her on the path to become who she is today, but he has almost no dialogue after the initial few volumes and they invent this entire team rocket vs saffron city civil war arc that never happens in any of the kanto games. Same with the Elite four being this shadow illuminati out of nowhere and not even associated with the pokemon league. Everyone just seems to do the japanese thing of "not rocking the boat" outside the manga where buildings get destroyed and so on.

Id read an LGPE volume if they had one. I really dont care for SV. Just doesnt feel like a pokemon game because its centered around a school. Pokeschools were always a thing since at least Roxanne's school but its about the adventure and being out with your own pokemon. Not always having some randoms yapping on a smartphone.

Because SV is actually one of the better games in regards to actually letting you go and do your own thing after you leave the school, which should be between 1 hour ~ 1 hour and half. Kanto has this weird phenomenon that all the remakes technically happen both at the same time as Gen 1 and after each other. Including the adventures manga. Gen 1 happens as normal, then FRLG, and then LGPE where Red and Blue are already world famous trainers who show up from time to time and a new trainer also named Red shows up as the penultimate endgame challenge where you cant use items. Professor Oak also said that Green is a part of a wider community of trainers who helped each other complete the pokedex along the way and implying that Yellow and all the Adventures characters are also trainers who passed through his lab at some point.This wierd overlapping phenomenon also happens in later generation remakes but not nearly to the same extent where it shows up even in anime OVA's like Pokemon Evolutions. HGSS is implied to happen after the original Gen 2 games introducing new characters and locations, and ORAS also happens some years after the original Gen 3 Hoenn games and introduces mega evolutions to the region.
