It's about six Isekaijin in the brain of an insane, mentally retarded, Gible. They all acts as Skills ala Disco Elysium or Voice ala Slay the Princess. Now as I've all said before I don't like PMD, it's hardly pokemon. I decided to read CC up to its newest update as a favor to CCanon since I got some good feedback from him on my chapters.As others have said, the pacing is pretty bad, not as bad as SELLOUTS since it only takes 15K words for the basics to be set up instead of 40K, but still bad. While SELLOUTS was distracted with world building, badly formatted flashbacks, and admittedly funny jokes, CC just has a lot of exposition. Practically every time we switch PoVs we get an explanation of a character's entire backstory and history up to that point, even mid combat. Now, for my comment on the proposed rework CCanon sought out my advice for. I would caution against it. CCanon has made mistakes and learned some things and I've made recommendations for a rewrite as requested, but he's also 97K words in, and already has people who like CC as it is. I've had the desire to rewrite things from the top before and I've always stopped myself, finished the fic, and moved onto another project.Yes, I'm being a hypocrite here, I put out the first three chapters of mahogany with the intent torewrite them. They are public drafts I put out to get feedback, although I've made jokes about it, this isn't something I've stressed over.I the rewrite is causing you problems, it's better to take what you've learned and improve future chapters. In fact, I think the first three chapters more or less is a introductory complete arc.Also I find it funny every Sneasel I've ever seen written is a female one, even my own Sneasel. Just finished reading Spice and Fox, pretty good so far even if I suspect it's about pokemon New Zealand (the thieving in the latest story arc makes a lot of sense) with the twin islands and native cannibals.
